We loved our stay here. It’s got a pool next to the beach and just enough out of main Amed town to be quiet. Make sure to get an ocean view to be further from the road. Hearty simple breakfast and you can order takeout delivered for lunch and dinner from the breakfast cook. We will be back. It’s a peaceful place.

We were very happy during our stay! Each charming bungalow has a private deck with comfortable seating for looking out over the lovely, flowering garden and the sea beyond. The staff kept our room spotlessly clean and the grounds beautiful and we loved that we could hear waves from our bed and would wake up smelling frangipani. Breakfasts were delicious as were the fresh fruit drinks we could buy from the kitchen during the day. The ceiling fan, ac, and shower all worked well. The beach out front is rocks and coral and can be tricky entering but is a good snorkeling spot when you do. There’s a heartbreaking amount of plastic on all the beaches in Bali and the surfaces of the waves, but beneath that mess there are still millions of fish managing to survive and we even saw sea turtles. Mr. Wayan took us out on his boat for a wonderful afternoon snorkeling at spots further away, and we highly recommend booking time with him. The hotel provides purified drinking water with refills which we very much appreciated. Considering the plastic waste crisis in the sea outside we also appreciated that the hotel does Not provide little plastic individual toiletries and don’t use plastic straws! We loved their bamboo ones so much that we made a special trip before our flight in Denpasar to BambooStraw D’bambu to get a couple hundred as gifts for friends back home. Our only suggestions are that we could have really used a little table or desk in the room next to the armchair. Matthijs, the owner is really friendly and helpful. The gardens look beautiful, the swimming pool is nice. In the immediate area there are some places where you can eat, but you can also eat at Kembali Beach Bungalows so you don’t need to go away from this nice place if you don’t want to. The breakfast is nice too by the way! Personally I loved to get some brown breadF toast after only eating white bread on Bali for weeks. The location of Kembali Beach Bungalows with the beautiful sea and the beach directly out front is great. But when you enter the sea the biggest surprise awaits. Immediately from the beach you have the best snorkelling location; there is a beautiful reef with many beautiful fish and turtles! We saw several turtles while snorkelling there. When you want to take it one step further: We did a great 1 day introduction scuba diving course with our family at Adventure Divers Bali, just across the road, which was a really nice experience too. Light breakfast provided in the morning in a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. 60k/day scooter provided. Rooms 1-6 are “sea views” (although 5-6 are set back slightly) and priced just a little higher than the garden view rooms (7-8). The garden view room we stayed in was fine but a bit noisy due to the road and the restaurant next door. Would recommend asking for rooms 1-4!
