If you are looking for serenity this is not the right place… I booked on Agoda few days before our arrival on Saturday, end of the day. Arrived in Amed, there is no one to welcome customers. No phone on Agoda or Google map. Fortunately we found someone on the beach who was able to contact the owner. 30 minutes later, he arrives quietly, and asks us if we have a reservation. I tell him, he finds it out, he doesn't look at his emails apparently... but it doesn't affect him at all. The room is not ready, leftover food, empty water bottles, but he tells us that the sheets are clean (hum hum…) and that we are going to make a king size bed by sticking the two small beds . (the reservation is with a large bed for two, it’s obviously different and if you know that you can book elsewhere) He cleans quickly (not even the toilets!) and tells us that everything is fine even if we waited 1 hour. I told him what I thought of it, there are limits. His only excuse: "I had a ceremony (Hindu, full moon)". Which for him exempts him from being professional for several days since he does not even look at his emails. The fridge is empty instead of having several bottles of water, coke, beers as shown in the photo (in amed after 9 p.m., it's complicated to buy water..) The wifi does not work (even with the correct code), the toilets are leaking do the outside pump never stops. And icing on the cake there is a bar next to these rooms with a live show on Saturday evening until late. And (early) in the morning the fishermen who pull up their boats on the beach with a very noisy engine just in front of the room! Clearly, the quiet room on the beach it’s not there ! The next day he suggests that we change rooms, and there the fridge doesn't work at all, so we don't change. I'm so sick of this guy. Sad because the place could be wonderful if it was managed. Once, not twice, never again with this guy! Too bad because I come every month for a few nights and I'm just looking for the place where I'm going to go each time. But not there for sure.

Hotel is falling apart. No hot water. Lights are broken. Power plugs are broken. The management knows, but doesn't bother to fix it. Staff is not really friendly and does not respect privacy. As a customer you have to manage the place, and tell them to fix things.

Thanks to this place. The quality matches the price. Photos correspond to reality. The owner is very welcoming❤️ If you want to be in the original area of ​​fishermen, incredible sunrises and warm-hearted local people for a couple of days, come here. And personally for me it was a surprise to see a gorgeous view of the Volcano - how beautiful it is, just a stone's throw from it 🌋 🌅

I have been here twice now. Love it. Right on the beach. Super friendly dogs roaming around (not strays) , actually that was the reason to come here again. I think that the caretaker isn't to happy about us petting the dogs. Room is big so is the shower place, there is no door between the toilet and room but it has a curtain. Our room didn't have a tv but it did have an airco and wifi. During the day the room has a lot of light because of the big windows but during the night it's dark. Even with all the (mini) light bulbs on, you could not read a book or so. Still, very recommended.

Nice place to stay when you are in Amed. The room is clean and nice staff. The room is located by the beach. It’s very relaxing. You can also see the fishermen activity. I stayed there during Nyepi and saw a great view during the night.

Little cozy rooms just Infront of beach. Little tough to notice the hotel from road as you cant see it from road only a sogn board and a narrow path leading to the hotel, but once you reach, u understand you made right choice to book it. They have an awesome shower, like the top part is open, so if it rains you dont need to turn on the tap.. No break fast though

A very cozy place, right next to the beach. You can see the ocean even when being in bed! It is clean and comfortable and there is even a cooling system. The price for it is unbeatable. And the service is really nice! A real 10/10! (I saw older recommendations that it is dirty or something, but now the place is clean)

*Update to the below review* - I just stayed again for 3 nights and the owner has already made some improvements. Great job and can't wait to come back again.. 👍🏻 Excellent for what it is, the owner has clearly gone the extra mile. The water is hot, the bed is comfortable with a nice duvet. The WIFI is good. The A/C is cold. Its not quite as nice a the photos show, No mini bar and just a fridge, which was ok for me as the supermarket is only 200mtrs away. The bed sheets were clean (I think) but stained and everything was typically tired like most places in Bali. The location is excellent except very hard to find and no reception, I was lucky the owner was there. He just left my bag in the room with key in the door while i went diving. Not great security but its safe enough here. I paid about $25 AUD which I think is fair, if It crept up much more I would probably have a look for somewhere else.

Quite dirty. No hot water. Not enough light in the bathroom. The towels smelled humidity. Was cheap. They didn’t clean it at all since last guest, with prívate part hairs in the toilet. The room was in front of the sea, that’s why I guess was so humid inside, the floor looked like wet all the time. It doesn’t have a common area, just rooms. Well located, best place for breakfast just in front.

DO NOT book this place if you dont want to waist your money. Absolutely rundown and unmaintaned place. Starting from the entrance you understand this is a garbage location. Front beach is covered with plastic and cigarettes buts etc. Be ready to see staff and their friends just sitting on your sun bed or porch all the time, just because its their place not thinking of the guests privacy. The room and the bathroom is unbelievably dirty!!! Curtains never washed, huge spider nets all around the room, absolutely old and broken furniture, all metal appliances are rusted, our room had no door to the bathroom, the sink shelve was loosing concrete stones, it was just falling off, the shower handle was just hanging, the ceiling in the shower was rusted and partially hanging. It felt so bad just ZERO respect from the owner to his guests. When we contacted him, he just said: ''im sorry you are not comfortable in our hotel''... We checked out next morning although we planned to stay longer. And owner refused to refund rest nights we paid.

Value for money. Clean and simple rooms plus nice showers. Right on the beach and close to many cafes and restaurants. Easy to get around!

Exceptional value for money. Lovely owners and staff. New hotel so everything nice and fresh.
