A great place to stay in Amed! It has stunning views from every room and the staff are so friendly and happy to help. The food is great and cheap, the included breakfast also has a range of options which is nice to have! The rooms are huge and clean and good air con. It is a little bit out of town so it would be best to hire a moped to drive in but it is a 10 minute walk from the beach (it’s just more the boat part of the beach not the relaxing part)

Absolutely recommend this place! We stayed in d’sawah for a couple of nights and this was amazing. The host is just awesome, she is very friendly and cooks very tasty dishes, she has a small restaurant downstairs with amazing food, music and prices. What I really recommend to try is grilled fish in banana leaf. It’s little bit spicy, but I can say it was the best grilled fish in Bali I’ve ever tried. For the breakfast I recommend to try pancake with pineapple, this one was very nice. Definitely will be back, above expectations :)

We want to stay a few days at d‘Sawah but finally we stayed more than 10 days! The homestay is well located in Amed! Very near to the beach (2 minutes to Amed beach, 5 minutes to Jemeluk beach, 15 minutes to Lipah beach) but not directly at the beach, so it’s really calm (at the beach it’s a little crowdy) and you have also the great view to the mountains. Although you are directly at the street, what is really useful, all rooms are totally quiet. The rooms are very clean, very spacious and the furniture is very sophisticated! You find a big bed with great mattress (I am very sensitive, cause I have some problems with my back, but slept like a baby!), two bedside table, a wardrobe and a safe! You have a small room between the bedroom and the street which is perfect to dry your swimming clothes and bath towels, but also for sound isolation! The bathroom is very clean, spacious and really nice designed! Our highlight was the balkony in the room at the first floor or the terrace at the groundfloor! You can have your breakfast there or see the sunset and have that great view to the mountains, hearing the water from a small water canal beside the house! This place is really peaceful! Normally we planned to eat every day in a local Warung (the small traditional restaurants), but from the first day we came to d‘Sawah we never ate somewhere else like in the own warung, which is located just beside the rooms! You cannot find better food than at d‘Sawah warung! Susie, the owner will cook you the best traditional food, but also the best „western“ food (I loved the steak). The food is fresh, Susie loves to cook and she always use only fresh ingredients! If you ask her she will also cook for you what is not part at the menu, like she prepared Babi Guling for us! But although the homestay is well located, the rooms are clean and spacious, the food is great, the most important reason why we highly recommend this place to stay is Susie and her team! From the first moment Susie was like a sister for us! She take care of everything! Because the ATM in the city didn’t work at the first day, we couldn’t pay our driver, Susie helped us out. I had some problems with my stomach, as we arrived, Susie made some tea for me (I think it was tea from tumerik) and instantly it was getting better). Every night we sat together with Susie talking about everything and looking pictures of the day. She gave us valuable tips where to go and what to do. She organized everything, the motor bike, our trip to Gili inbetween our stay in Amed, she brought us to the best massage salon in Amed and organized the laundry of our clothes! The transport to the airport was organized by her eldest son, who is a cautious and safe driver! We could really enjoy our stay, cause Susie taked care of everything! Also her staff was so nice and everytime approachable and helpful! If you are looking for a really peaceful, clean place which is central but a little outside the hustle, this is the place to stay in Amed! For us it was perfect because we never had the feeling just staying in a hotel but like living with a family! Thank you so much Susie! We will definitely see again if we come back to Bali!

Our first time in Amed and we don't regret it ! The amazing host Susie went out of her way to accomdate us and transported us from the Kusamba port. The food is absolutely amazing .. some of THE BEST food we have had in Bali ! Susie's cooking is top notch The view from the Warung and the rooms are amazing with the mountain backdrop! Only downside is that unfortunately there was no hot water ! Be sure to make this part of your Amed journey!

Susie is an amazing woman, talented chef, and gracious host. I had the pleasure of meeting her by attending her cooking class. She was very knowledgeable and her skills are beyond impressive. The food she makes is clearly made from love and expertise, which you can taste in every bite. I am so grateful that I was able to learn how to cook a few Balinese dishes from her and can't wait to take what I've learned home to practice. Susie was kind, patient, and ran her kitchen like a true professional. After the class, d'Sawah had become our go-to warung in Amed. We had tried a few others in the area but it became quite obvious that Susie is the undisputed champion of deliciously satisfying, nutrient-dense Indonesian food. She added very thoughtful touches to our food after learning about my Wife's gluten allergy and our addiction to Balinese levels of spice. The environment of her warung and homestay is world-class and she made us feel incredibly welcome, like a part of her family. The time and experience that we shared with Susie is truly unforgettable. It feels like I have a Balinese mom on the opposite side of the world. When we are back in Amed, we are sure to spend more time at Susie's place. We are wishing her well, and all the success that her and her family deserve. I will be sure to keep them in my thoughts while reflecting on our time in Amed and am looking forward to the next time that we can be graced by Susie's presence, kindness, and artisanal culinary experience. See you when I see you, Susie! Matur Suksma 🙏 - Danny

Perfect place for a holiday or a longer stay. Big rooms, comfortable bad, nice bathroom and balcony. Very clean, feels quite luxurious and private. The owner is really friendly, helps you out and prepare amazing and reasonably priced food. Worth choosing this place! Pics from the balcony on the first floor. :)

We had the most wonderful two weeks at Susie's (owner) homestay! 😍 The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help, the rooms are spacious and cozy, and the food is absolutely delicious (you must try the tempeh manis)! Thank you so much, Susie! We can't wait to return ☺️

The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. I greatly admired Susie and her team, who spare no effort in fulfilling your requirements. Susie's café also presents a diverse selection of dishes, each as delectable as the next. I am undoubtedly planning a return visit. Thank you for everything! 🙏🏻

Huge, luxurious rooms overlooking a beautiful rice field. We felt very at home. Delicious food at the homestay and many restaurants nearby too. You may need a scooter/ride to the main tourist attractions (Lipah beach, the shipwrecks), but it is close to a more local beach. Had a great time, thanks Susie for hosting us!!

D’sawah is a lovely place with a pretty view. The rooms are very large, comfortable and modern and the food at the warung was always delicious and healthy, with many vegan options- we ate there many times. It’s walking distance from many restaurants but I’d recommend renting a scooter as Amed is very hot.

Fantastic morning spent learning about and preparing Balinese food. Suzie was very flexible in scheduling, and in letting us decide what we'd like to prepare. Learned how to steam chicken in banana leaf, and make sambals using a copek (pronounced "choppie") which I found in Samur and bought home after the trip. Lovely time, very reasonable, and she sends the recipes to you afterwards.

Susie was a fantastic host & teacher for an amazing afternoon of cooking a veritable feast of fragrant Balinese dishes. We made steamed chicken, steamed barracuda and tofu, spicy tempeh, aromatic coconut & bean salad and red rice. Finished off with warm brownies & chocolate cake from homegrown cocoa. Susie was so knowledgeable & welcoming. It was a wonderful afternoon with a great group of people. Cooking classes with Susie is a must do experience in Amed - such fun 😊

We were at the restaurant: The food was so good that we went two days in a row. The host is also very friendly. You can see through the big window to the kitchen that your food is made fresh.

I’m a returning guest, so I definitely can say I loved staying at D’Sawah Amed! Susie and Iluh, Desi, made me feel right at home and I didn’t even have to do the dishes!! 😆 I always enjoyed the company and the delicious food coming out of the kitchen was made to order with love!! And extra chilies 🌶! The accommodations are always clean and the mountain and rice fields views are always spectacular!! Seeing Mt Agung as soon as you step out to the street always gives me chicken skin! The shortcut through the rice fields to the beach at sunrise was a beautiful start to my day. I’m missing it already! But, I’ll definitely be back!!😍

D’Sawah was the best accommodation I had in my whole se Asian trip. It’s the cleanest, the prettiest and friendliest homestay! The breakfast is perfect! (Try homemade toast with homemade jam!) They even let us try special fruits from a in ceremony ♥️ I love love love this place and the people! Btw. Price is incredible good!

Everything was perfect :) ! Suzie the owner, is an angel. Kind, caring, always give good tips where to eat, what to visit. And she has the BEST chocolate cake with ice cream in the area. A must try haha ! Maybe a bit too close to the road. But in general the place remains very quiet and peaceful.
