Tiny place with only few interesting spots for photos. Lots of green and a decent peaceful walk until you have lots of tourists in the same area that is. You can easily be done in 15 minutes unless you are really into photo taking for Instagram or social media. The whole place looks fabricated. There's also villa next to the park but probably not worth justifying the staying price. Outside there are several shops and restaurants for convenience. The restaurant that is inside the Water Palace, however, seems very overpriced.

Beautiful place, worth the visit. The views are very pretty and the gardens also very nice. They have lots of fish that adds the beauty of this place. You can buy fish food at entrance gate. Price is 50k per person to enter. Also place does get a bit crowded so recommend arriving very early to get better pics.

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Bali, it was a sunny day. It's well laid out and attracts many visitors. It was around 2 pm during my arrival, the weather was just nice, and luckily could see a red mix bursting lights just above the pond as like a rainbow. A pleasant sight indeed, even cameras capturing this. Here you can feed the fish, ride on traditional board, and swim with fees.

Amazing water palace, especially that you realise it’s been there for 100s and hundreds of years. If you come here, be sure to take your swim stuff because you can actually swim in one of the pools making yourself feel like a celebrity in the Kings Court. I also highly recommend the restaurant which is overlooking the palace.

Another magnificent temple like all Balinese temples. Water is everywhere. You can walk on the stones and feed huge carps. You can swim in other pools but no religious symbolism this time. Just the pleasure of swimming in a natural pool. Go early in the morning before it gets crowded.

Really lovely place with a lot of nice statues, fountains, and pools. You can walk on some steps in one of the pools, and take some nice pictures, but there might be a lot of people there. You can feed the fish, you will probably see some really big koi fish that have been eating food from all the tourists wanting to take pictures with fish around them. I can definitely recommend this place.

Marvelous place. Beautiful spot to enjoy nature and the temple. Big fat fish that are so nice to feed. Excellent place to take some pictures. Paid toilets and good cafes around. There is a public pool you can swim in if you like. We got here in the morning around 8:30h and it wasn't so crowded, just a handful of people. This place is much better looking than Pura Lampuyang. We enjoyed quite a good time relaxing here.

The royal families garden is a fantastic place to visit. We enjoyed the pools that you can swim in as well. Go early and in the off season.

Great place to check out!! This place is a lot of fun to check out, and see all that it has to offer. This place is great to take the kids to see all the fish, and even access the pool as well to take a dip if you wanted on a hot day. There is also a very amazing restaurant you can eat there as well. Of coarse have to pay a price to come in to visit as well for parking, but trust me very worth it.

(Translated by Google) Behind this incredible sight, the story almost took my life when google maps steered me down the wrong path. Initially I departed from Denpasar to Tirta Gangga relying on Google Maps for the first time visiting here using a motorbike alone because I like traveling solo. On the way, Google Maps showed the closest route, namely the Mangosteen Mangosteen area, I took the Ngis road up to the top of the hill and it was far from residential on the hill maybe better. I continued my motorbike until the road was rocky and very narrow and also an extreme incline because I too trusted the map that led my way there, until finally I had gone through many extreme inclines and found myself in the middle being on two sides of a very high ravine. I almost fainted when I got off the motorbike and led my motorbike up a rocky incline and finally I couldn't stand it anymore and at that time I was dragged down almost to the edge of the steep cliff. Luckily there was someone nearby who I asked for help to lower my motorbike which was very far from the crowd and its position was already in the hills full of lonely and steep thickets. I really couldn't say anything else because it was so scary. Finally, after my motorbike arrived at the bottom of the asphalt road, I finally took the safe route by fixing the initial location to Candi Dasa beach, and from Candi Dasa beach I again benchmarked to Tirta Gangga, the Amlapura route. For those who are going to Tirta Gangga for the first time and without a GUIDE, I suggest never going through the mangosteen ngis route. Choose the path that passes through Candidasa through Amlapura. Pilih jalur yg melewati candidasa tembus amlapura.

This is one of the place in Bali where we have zero expectations but have enjoyed a lot. Entrance fee is very minimal and that is 10000 IDR a person. It's generally a palace but I will say it's a hangout place. It has got small ponds through which you may move around and there are colourful big fish. Also there is a place, where you may take a bath and enjoy. It's a beautiful garden kind of area. It has got restaurants as well. You may come for a photoshoot and to make beautiful videos. You can easily spend 2 hours and even more.

A water palace with giant park. The place is well managed, surrounded with bridge, fountains, statues n giant koi pond. It was around 4 pm during my arrival, the weather just nice n luckily could see red mix bursting light just above the pond. Was it a rainbow? A pleasant sight indeed, even cameras capturing this. Here you can feed the fishes, riding with traditional board for fee 20k, swimming pay 10k.

An amazing and well-maintained park/garden. A very serene experience when it's not crowded. A must visit in Karangasem region. The highlight here is the fish pond with huge fish. Definitely a great photo spot for your Instagram fix.

Over crowded and a very touristic place. The place is beautiful and the garden is well kept but a certain percentage of fish seems to be either sick, dying or dead. Some of the ponds are overfed while some seems to have a toxin problem. As a fish lover it is a sad sight to see.

What a magic place! The 1000's of Koi fish, combined with the beautiful gardens and a varied photo opportunities, make this a special place to visit. It was busy but not too crowded to enjoy, there are plenty of different paths to take, decent toilets on site and some nice cafes and food options on site. You can feed the fish and take some amazing photos and if you want to swim, there are also a few natural swimming spots. Entry was only 50,000 IDR so about $5 AUD and can be purchased when you arrive. There are some market stalls and hawkers trying to sell you sunglasses, etc, on the way in but it doesn't detract from the magic of this place. I could have spent hours here!!

  • 4/5 Tracy S. 3 years ago on Google
A really beautiful and serene-looking place, but there were so many people here. There was no regulation of people going in and out, so you have a bunch of people just trying to get their perfect shot inside the pond. The line itself to get into the pond or even standing on a stone was 1-2 hours. Definitely wasn't worth it! There's lots of other temples and trails in the back that were beautiful and way less crowded. Note: Visited prior to COVID, so things may be slightly different.

A beautiful place to visit when you go to Bali. It's peaceful, calming and just stunning. I really enjoyed feeding the Koi Fish, and we got some nice pictures. Visit was February 2020, before Covid-19 travel bans.

So damn fine... One of the best tourist object in karangasem, bali. Tirta Gangga, the royal water palace is a heritage. Garden with many statues are intentionally set on the stone to decorate the garden to make it mesmerize. The statues are taken from hindu historical epos mahabarata and ramayana. You will see ponds and fountain on the middle of pool. So instagrameble.

But place is very beautiful. Lots and lots of fishes where you can feed them and literally you can stand and see some 100 of em around you. It’s fun!!

The grounds have been carefully restored with lots of F&B options around. There are many unique architectural features to admire and experience. The entrance fee is reasonable, but I wish there’s a bit more information about the historical significance of the location, as there are quite a few other water palaces around the area. It also felt a bit too touristy as there were many people on an Instagram tour around

This place is kinda nice. About 1 hour drive from Ubud, located in Karangasem one of the most beautiful part of the island. They allow dogs in so that's great. Overall, the place is quite beautiful with temples and fish. Yes, the fish may look a little scary but are actually harmless *at least if you don't fall into the pond?

Touristic place by excellence. Some guides at the entrance. Hire one of them ! The visit is much more interesting. This is the third time I visit this place, but this time with a guide was far the best one. Lots of beautiful fishes to feed, if this interest you. There arerestaurants inside, for a drink, a snack or even a meal. The place is nice and calm, if you subtract the tourists.

A beautiful view to behold. The fish are well fed. All I'll say is Bali is blessed. Lovely warm people with amazing sites. I had fun with our entire group. It was awesome. The stepping stones surrounded by water 💧 is just beautiful. I love the way the environment and preservation of natural and man made architecture are merged to birth beautiful sites like this.

Lovely temple/ king’s playground that was more unique than some of the others because of the many pools and the stepping stones throughout them. I’m not sure how holy a place it was, as I didn’t see many locals praying like I did at the other temples. This one was more like the king’s pleasure palace. Of course like everywhere there are a lot of tourists getting in the way of the good scenery and taking photos everywhere, so try to go at a quiet time if you don’t want people blocking all your good shots.

It's an amazing work of art, a water palace built by and for the last King in 1948. It has a number of pools, gardens, a temple, and a meditation podium that was said to have been used by the king. The water spring, around which the temple is built is said to have holy water all year around and locals use to water for their worshipping ceremonies to God. Touristic place by excellence. Tirta Ganga was a leisure place developed for the Bali King during the 1900s. It's basically a combination of different fountains. Very good scenic place and good for taking pictures. One of the main attractions is floating stones. The ideal time to visit any day is early in the morning when there is less crowd. Because once it's crowded you will not be able to take pictures without people coming in the background. You will have multiple restaurants inside for food options.

Tirta Gangga is such a beautiful temple, The statues are very nice, and the path is made with rock tiles over the water, It's something memorable. However, there's a problem with the living creatures in its waters. They are sick, lack colour, and are not properly fed. I saw dead fishes inside the water, with a silver-green colour that meant they were there for a long time. Hungry fishes in the fountains in the middle of the temple, follow you begging for some food. All this means that they don't take care of all of the fish, some of them with injuries, almost dead. I advised the drivers who brought us there. I definitely will not be back until somebody does something about.

This is one of the best places in Bali to visit. If you’re going to Bali, you should go to this temple. This is not actually a temple. But here you can see a lot of fishes and you can feed them. Also you can access the pool which is kind a natural pool but for that you need to pay also also for feeding the fish you need to buy the food for Fish from the entrance. You can also do shopping from here and you can bargain the products from here this is really one of the best places in Bali

Absolutely stunning place. Beautifully kept garden. Highlights for me were the stepping stones around a pond with thousands of fish and throwing some bread for the fish. Having a lovely fresh juice at the restaurant at the top looking over the garden with the ocean in the background. Have been there a few times now. Always good. It opens at 6 (check) and get there early. So e of the magic is lost when it's covered with people.

Lovely garden, great atmosphere and polite workers. Fish were very cool and some extraordinarily large ones, flowers around the garden were beautiful. pretty little park, but not worth it. within 5 minutes you have seen the whole area. little shadow along the pools so not really possible to sit and enjoy the view for long. recommend going to the Water Palace (Balai Gili) instead

One of the most popular places in Bali, the water palace with many statues, interesting steps on the water, many carps swimming in a large area. On the way to this place, you need to immediately visit others who are nearby. I recommend to go in the morning, while it is still fresh and there are not a huge number of people)

  • 5/5 E K. 5 years ago on Google
Beautiful place, clean, calm and relaxing 😌 It was not so crowded either. You can have a bath here to cool down, there is an extra charge. If I remember correctly for a extra IDR 10,000. This temple its very pretty surrounded by water, trees, flowers, sculptures. You can actually walk on the stones in one of the pools, watch many sculptures, and fish. Just walk around and enjoy this beautiful place. It’s easy to park of the main road.

Nice place for a evening. Great location to enjoy the time. You can feed those dishes in the pool. I really enjoyed it. There is a entrance fee for the ticket.

The most touristy place we visited in Bali/Lombok so far, but still not so crowded that it was annoying. The water palace is really beautiful and you can by fish food which or kids of 5 and 7 loved. We spend an hour here just enjoying the peaceful surroundings and feeding the fish. The sales people are nice and we only payed for one of the children. We were there around 3 pm.

No amazing natural wonders like previous stops in Indonesia but still gorgeous! This garden and fountain location is a real splendor! You can feed the koi fish and practically walk on water to even touch them and take great pictures. There’s a restaurant that overlooks the garden and even a pool if you want to swim (costs $). If your a couple it’s a must stop as the pictures will last a lifetime.

i always amazed with all the water palace in Karang Asem regency. this park is well-maintained. clean, tidy & beautiful. the fishes are amazing. beautiful colors in jumbo size. the are always hungry, when you feed them you also can touch them. fish food are available in the shops before the gate or in the park, they sell it in same price. very instagramable place.

  • 5/5 N L. 5 years ago on Google
Beautiful gardens and huge fish! It was busy the day we went so it was a little crowded. We had brought our swim suits as we heard there a pool to swim in for an extra fee, but the swimming pool is fed from the same water as the fish pond, so we were worried we might come out smelling fishy so we passed on that. It was nice to just walk around and take in the beauty of the gardens and ponds, take some pictures and feed the fish. Plan to spend at least an hour taking in the sights, and walk around the whole area, there are more beautiful spots that where most of the tourists are gathered and less busy. Lots of interesting sculptures on site too.

(Translated by Google) The place is beautiful. It’s nice to be there for a while. Especially not worth a ride. It’s not nice that they charge 50,000 per person for entry and then it turns out that this amount does not include visiting places where you can swim and you need to pay another 50,000 .... From my point of view, it’s not nice in relation to visitors. This information should be at the entrance, as well as the second ticket if necessary ... (Original) Место красивое. A nice oasis of culture and nature. Restaurants outside are a bit pricey despite being just okay. Explore toward the back of the grounds. There’s an interesting almost-hidden-spot where you’ll find a small circle of statues. I wasnt able to capture the story behind it, but there appear to be a male and a female figure standing opposite each other. And on one side are benign looking characters, while on the other side stand more threatening looking figures. Im almost sure there’s an interesting commentary that should go with that.

Beautiful water palace. You can buy tickets at front (50k I believe?) and also fish food for 2k-5k. The stores try to sell you the 5k fish food, but the smaller ones work just as well. I'd recommend buying fish food to better the experience. Most of our fun came from feeding fish and there were fishes of different sizes in every fountain/pool.

A really pleasant attraction, with enough to see to occupy 30-60mins (without stopping for a bite). The fish pond walk is the highlight, lots of great photos. A well maintained space, with attendants constantly cleaning up and tending the grounds.

  • 4/5 Payal P. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful, serene and calming. Best to take a walk in the large garden of this temple and see the beautiful fish pond with hundreds of Koi fish swimming around the stepping pillars that go right till the depth of the pond. A great photo spot, although there no activity there.

  • 4/5 Akshat S. 9 months ago on Google
It is a good place to take a walk, chat with your fam/friends and enjoy feeding fish in the pond or enjoy calm swings in the garden there. There are a few restaurants as well inside the place and one can enjoy the view along with some food there. You can also enjoy boating in the pond for a small ticket value. There is a local market right outside and you can shop some souvenirs if you wish to. Overall a very peaceful place with some good picturesque spots.

We arrived early and the place looks cool. There were a lot of photo spots with less crowd coming from Gate of Heaven, it was way too less people in here. The royal family house was just next to this temple and can be seen from a distance as it’s restricted for public.

  • 5/5 Mahzubin K. 8 months ago on Google
It is a very peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It can be crowded at certain times but its worth a visit. I advise picking up some fish food available outside the gates, because it a great experience interacting with the fish.

This is a small water Palace and you can walk around it in about 10-15 minutes. BUT! There are lots of photo opportunities around the gardens, including stepping out onto the stones on the ponds with the fish swimming around you. There are also restaurants, bars and shops... oh, and also a guy charging you for a photo opportunity within albino python or orange iguana. A good stop off on your way to somewhere else.

  • 2/5 Aleksandra O. 10 months ago on Google
Small place for 30 min to wonder around, and do the iconic photo with fishes. After 9-10 am it’s getting so crowded that it’s impossible to do a nice photo or to enjoy the pool. Not really worth 50k entry fee. I would recommend to Get here in the morning or just skip it. Scooter parking additional 5k

  • 5/5 Malou 4 months ago on Google
Beautiful, beautiful temple. Buy some fish food to feed the koi fish, that was my favorite part of the whole visit! This was much more worth it than the gates of heaven. Here you actually felt that sense of calm you would want to feel in a temple - not like you were being ripped off just waiting in line for a photo (literally).

  • 5/5 Federica C. 4 months ago on Google
Very beautiful water palace with a lot of pools with fishes and statues. You can also bath in one of the pool or give food to the fish. A small playground and beautiful garden. Good restaurant on site or in front of the entrance. Nice view on surrounding ricefields.

A beautiful place to just maybe have a sit, relax and take in the experiences of your trip so far. Superb view and seems very well maintained, you can also try to sit at the restaurant, enjoy a drink and watch over everyone trying to take photos of the hundreds (thousands?) of koi fish.

The King’s gardens were so beautiful. Really lovely place to visit. I also paid to carry the yellow Burmese python which is harder than it looks 😂 be warned- the snake is heavy (about 50kgs). This was a lovely experience!

Gorgeous and peaceful, you should attend within 45 minutes of closing time to get the best uninterrupted photos (especially if you are instablogging). The fish are absolutely massive
