Not much to do or see at Taman Ujung. It is picturesque like the rest of Bali and that is because this was one of the the kings residence. You climb a lot of stairs expecting to see something new but it’s usually just a scenic area. There are definitely better temples to spend your time at. Entrance fee is 75k per person. I don’t recommend.

Spectacular The Taman Soekasada Ujung is breathtakingly beautiful. There were very few people at this location when I visited. Taman Soekasada Ujung has a soothing ambiance and a visually pleasing structure. Despite the large area size of the place, management is doing an excellent job of maintaining it.

A true hidden gem and a must visit near Karangasem region. The park/garden itself is huge, clean and well-maintained. There is a white house in the middle of the central pond, connected by 2 bridges. A very beautiful scenery, the perfect spot to take a break. It's still underrated and thus, never crowded.

Taman Ujung, Karangasem, is One of the most peaceful yet excellent water palaces in east Bali. A truly beautiful garden and a very spacious place. You can stroll around the garden. I recommend if you're in that part of Bali, but the trip here should be paired with some other attractions in the area.

This is a park with a lake in the centre and some pagoda-like shelters where it is quite pleasant to relax in the shade and breeze. There are a few paths to walk along and various shrubs and small bushes with flowers. There is also a small hill you can climb up from where you can enjoy views of the park and surrounding areas towards the sea. Allow 30 minutes to one hour for your visit. Longer if you want to relax and read a book etc.

A very scenic garden. If you are willing to climb the stairs as shown in the picture shared, you will be ablw to view the area from the top. You will be able to see the sea. I did not climbed the stairs. One of my friends did and took pictures. Nice view.

Went here with classmates during weekend. A great heritage left by the regents. Peaceful and calm place to be. Plenty of parking lots, cheap entrance fee. Try to visit after lunchtimebat 2 or 3 pm, since the heat at midday here could burn your skin :)

A very wonderful water palace. A royal king built it - we thank you. Such wonderful beauty. The flowers are colorful and smell like a perfume. The water is so tranquil and quiet. You can enjoy the quietness. The walking on the long bridges makes you feel like you are on the water. The Royal engineers placed it in the right place so you can see 2 volcanoe mountain views from the middle palace. Take 72 steps to the top and get another beautiful view of the whole water palace and see mountains and the ocean too!

We arrived at 15 pm, so it was not too hot for us to explore this place. It was a memorable experience. I thought the place needs more maintenance. Particularly at the main entrance. Rest rooms also need more attention

A really nice water palace where you can have a nice walk in the morning before it get too hot. The place has a dutch-chinese style and is really really majestic. Would be nice if they plant more flower and take care of the overgrown weeds.

One of our stops during our tour was here. This is a large property with the grounds being very well maintained. It has a lot of history and some of the views from the top of the hills are amazing. This is right by the ocean and you have beautiful views of the areas nearby, great for photos. As you walk the property you have the main building located in the center, which is surrounded by water. The architecture is beautiful and gives you sense of the history behind the property and of Bali. It is a very zen area which is great for walking around and enjoying the beauty of its nature.

Beautiful grounds - worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood. Probably only spent an hour here but very peaceful with some nice views - cost to get in and possibly to park. Think it was around 75k each but can’t remember!

Good place for taking photos and if you love plants and flowers. Beautiful garden and little history of the local king. Spacious and great cared. Prices for foreigners is 75k ( 6$) and 50k (for locals). Light is great if is a sunny day and best spots are for sure the bridges and the lake. Recommended to come here early morning if you want the place more to yourself.

Had a very pleasant couple of hours walking around this beautiful place. Gardens are well maintained, lots of flowers, central palace had some great photos of a bygone era, the walk over the water to get there was beautiful. Other small temples in various areas of the compound were quite interesting to see, a good view from the highest area. There looked like there was accommodation available but no one staying. Early morning or late afternoon is the best time as it gets very warm walking around

(Translated by Google) Taman Ujung is a tourist attraction located in the eastern part of Bali Island, precisely in Tumbu Village, Karangasem Regency. Taman Ujung was built in 1909 with the aim of being a place for the king to rest as well as a banquet for kings who were invited to the Palace. This park is surrounded by a large and large pool of water surrounded by several types of trees that look towering high and decorated with old royal era buildings with classic nuances. In the garden area there are three large ponds consisting of one in the south and two in the north. The southern pool, there is a building in the middle of the pool called 'Bale Bengong'. This building has no walls, only a few concrete pillars that support the roof of the building. In ancient times this building served as a place to entertain the guest of honor of the King of Karangasem. The architecture of this garden building resembles typical European buildings. Currently Taman Ujung has been transferred as a tourist attraction that you must visit while visiting Karangasem. In addition, this place is also used as a place for pre-wedding photography. When entering here, you are allowed to bring a DSLR camera but at an additional cost. The parking area is quite large, complete with local traders selling Balinese food and souvenirs.

This place has a special view. It's dominated with water and nature element. There is this bridge which is a very famous spot to take a pic. And the building in the middle of the pool contain history of this place. The building is like an ancient style and it's very vintage. A good place to take pics! I went to the highest place of this area and able to see ocean from there. It's very beautiful and so memorable. A must visit place!

A highlight of East Bali which more tours should include. I would advise coming here without a tour and just taking a scooter. It is not a busy location as most of the tours seem to avoid it. The location is beautiful with wonderful flowers, fruits and vegetables being grown in interesting ways. Incredible photo opportunities and places to rest in the shade and just enjoy the view. Would be good to have a picnic here. Lots to see and walk around and it would be easy to spend a few hours here if you enjoy flowers etc.

(Translated by Google) For friends who have never come, I will tell you a little about this one Park. This park was built by the King of Karangasem named I Gusti Bagus Jelantik, who has the title Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. At first the area was nearly 400 hectares, but now only about 10 hectares remain. Most of the land has been distributed to the community during the land reform era. This park is the private property of the Puri Karangasem family. However, general visitors are allowed to visit it. Sukasada Park was built in 1909 on the initiative of Anak Agung Anglurah. The architect was a Dutch named van Den Hentz and a Chinese named Loto Ang. This development also involved an undagi (Balinese traditional architect). Taman Ujung is actually a development of the Dirah pond which was built in 1901. The construction of Taman Ujung was completed in 1921. In 1937, Taman Sukasada was inaugurated with a marble inscription inscribed with a script in Latin and Balinese script and two languages, Malay and Balinese. In the Taman Ujung Karangasem area there are several large and spacious buildings and ponds. There are three gates to the park area, but tourists can only enter through the gate next to the parking area. As for the main gate, it is located at an altitude on the west side as an entrance called the Bale Kapal. According to the information we received, this building was formerly made to resemble a ship. From this place we can see the whole area of Taman Ujung, or rather we are like seeing a miniature Taman Soekasada Ujung Karangasem. And from here too, we can see the open sea on the right side and the mountains on the left. For curious friends, please come and see for yourself its beauty (Original) Buat temen temen yang belum pernah datang, saya akan sedikit menceritakan mengenai Taman yang satu ini.

Ticket is 75k for international tourists and you can pay with card. The grounds are extremely well maintained and there is sufficient historical information inside the main building which is very helpful to give some context! Toilets are very clean and the place is large enough to spend quite a while discovering new views and buildings. It’s a bit of a drive but if you combine it with some other water palaces in the area it’s totally worthwhile. There’s only a small handful of local and international tourists around so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. Mix of architectural styles is fascinating. Highly recommended.

The palace is clean, looks great, huge area, you can even workout jogging in this place. Ticket is not expensive. Inside the palace you can see some photos and descriptions about the history of the palace and its king family.

Beautiful water palace in Karangasem. You can pay for the entrance ticket with cash or a debit card. The parking area is spacious. There are benches for people to sit back and enjoy the view.

  • 5/5 pretty s. 1 year ago on Google
Entrance fee: IDR25K For that price, you’ll enjoy a huge and wonderful scenery (of mountain and sea from a distance). There are many waste bin too, so you’ll be easily to put your waste without bein littering in the garden. The toilet also quite clean. The route is also easy to be accessed, just follow the Gmaps. But to reach the entrance gate, just keep straight following the main road for about 400m from the end point what Gmaps show.

Great park with historical value. The building looks like a mix of Balinese and Dutch architecture. More historical information will help though.

  • 4/5 Gabrielle C. 1 year ago on Google
You get beautiful views of the mountains and the sea from the top and the palace and water features are well-maintained. There weren’t too many tourists when we went either, or at least the place is large enough that we can all spread out without constantly photobombing each other haha. In all it’s nice and you can probably learn a lot about the history of the royal family and architecture from there, but I’m not sure that it’s worth the 2h drive from Ubud…

Nice and calm place to visit, lots of places to take nice photos. Good for an afternoon stroll and enjoying the view, and intricate design of this palace. However, there is a lack of information about the history of this place.
