When I arrived at the place, I thought it was so beautiful and relaxing! Also a nice location close to Jemeluk Bay for snorkeling & diving. But unfortunately the first impression didn’t last and the negative aspects outweigh for me personally the positive ones. The dorms are bad. It’s poorly isolated, so it gets super hot, the beds have no curtains, no bed light, so you have to wake up everybody if you arrive late and you have to search something. 0 privacy and intimacy. Besides that a dude had intercourse in one of the hostel beds and the hostel beds aren’t very stable, so it swings with all the movements you make. You get devoured by mosquitoes, no mosquito nets and since there are holes everywhere, they get in anyway. Then, there were even mice (!) in the room. One of the dudes had one in his suitcase the next morning, that was really disgusting and isn’t very sanitary… let’s not speak about the toilets or the showers… Then the wifi never works (so if you need to work online, forget it, you can barely check your emails). It’s so overpriced. The food is around 90k even though you can have anywhere else good food for half of that. Rental of snorkeling and diving stuff as well - 150k and just at the beach you can get it for 30k a day. Now let’s come to the worst part for me: the staff. They were quite rude and narrow-minded but weirdly the dude that had intercourse in the dorm was allowed to stay, even though they announced he’d be thrown out. The atmosphere is horrible, there is no community or a good vibe whatsoever - which is the most important part in a good hostel. The best you’ll get from the staff will be a fake smile that is obviously a fake smile which will make you feel even less welcome and appreciated. All in all, in terms of location and looks, the place definitely has potential, but the huts have to be reworked and modified and the staff should change entirely and they should reflect on the image they give to others and reflect on what vibe and values they want to embody. Little advice: if you’re kind to your customers and also people from outside e.g. friends and acquaintances, maybe this would create a nice vibe and community and inspire the others to stay as well. So far you only inspired people to leave.

Awful experience. I wanted to subscribe to my partner for their yoga class and spend an afternoon there with the family. First of all, booking the yoga class was already challenging. They want you to pay upfront. Otherwise, you can not participate. But the only option is via cash at the reception, we have found a solution but it was not easy. Then to organise the afternoon outing I asked ( on the same day) if while my partner is doing the yoga, can we play w the children at the pool and sit at the restaurant, which they said yes to. BUT when we arrive in the afternoon, the pool looks murky, and the manager says that the pool is under maintenance, and we can not use it until the day after. So, my children are obviously sad, had to drag them away, like this my wife could not do the lesson but at least they made the 100k idr they were insisting taking upfront. Shady, but i guess that's what they stand for.

We spent the week training with Yoram in Amed and it was incredible. We all got a lot out of the training and hit PBs of 30m+ under his coaching. The hostel dorms are really nice and the restaurant does EPIC food. The space and facilities at Ocean Prana make it one of the best freediving centres around. I'll definitely be back.

So grateful for this experience! I took an AIDA 2 course lead by Yoram and assisted by Hiro. This was a real adventure WAY WAY WAY outside of my comfort zone. I was pleasantly surprised and amazed how patient and attentive Yoram was during the course. He was able to create a safe space and to give an individualized approach to each student as much as it was possible. Ultra valuable and rare! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a high quality freediving training with good people in a nice and comfy setting!

I have been there for the freediving course. Was alone with my teacher Adrian. Nice to learn some new concept. Was very helpful. I reach 3mn in static. And 40m dynamic in their pool. Unfortunately had ear problem so can't validate the sea part. The pool is 25m and u can enjoy it if there is no course at the moment. Their restaurant serve nice food.

I could not have asked for a better instructor to start my freediving training. Yoram was patient, friendly, and inspired confidence in ourselves. I have always had a fear of water and had never swam in the ocean before. With his diligence and expertise I was able to overcome much of my inner discomfort and I exceeded my own expectations. I wasn't expecting to pass but I was at least hoping to overcome my fear of water. I can say my life has truly been changed from this experience. Thank you, Yoram. Also the hotel/hostel is absolutely beautiful. Can't recommend it enough. I was skeptical about how beautiful this place would be due to the lack of photos but wow. A very special place indeed.

I booked for two nights in a dormitory, the price is already very expensive, $11 for one night, you'll find an army of ants in the communal showers. Then there are the mice that wander between the walls of the room, and you can use your light on them to find mouse droppings. What's more, the service is not at all commercial I asked for a Snorkel and mask rental and they charged me the price for a day (150k) when there was only 3 hours left before sunset. If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep, I strongly advise against it. You can find a private room for less and without ants and mice, and if you're a smoker, don't come because you'll be excluded from the parking lot to smoke your cigarette. You won't find the friendly hostel atmosphere that's so absent from this establishment either.

Fantastic experience in all categories. The 2 floor bungalow was clean with a great earthy vibe, comfy beds, a large bathroom, and a nice touch were the bean bag chairs on the balcony. The kitchen was immaculate, and the food excellent. I took some private lessons with Yoram who demonstrates so much maturity in his instruction while being gentle and kind. (He tacked an extra 2 minutes onto my static breath hold in 1 session) Giovanni, my AIDA course instructor was also wonderful. The location was quiet, and with easy access to the beach/ferries/snorkeling. We were spinning with love for this place when we left. Thanks Yoram for creating such a special place!

Ocean Prana is the perfect place for freediving training in Amed. It has everything you need, cozy rooms, great yoga classes, and a nice restaurant. It's an all in one spot. Highly Recommended.

This hostel has to be avoided if you want to rest. The place is very noisy: roosters singing day and night, construction site & road very close. The bungalows aren't isolated at all & the bedding is of very bad quality. Even with earplugs I had troubles to sleep at any moment (Night & day).

Did my instructor course there. Great practice with what felt like with some of the best in the world. I like the new awesome pool to train and accomodations are nice and 1min walking from the beach and deep water spots.

I took daily yoga classes in Ocean Prana and went on a freediving course with Yoram and Ollie and I stopped smoking after the first day. For the freediving it's an honor to learn from one of the best competitors In the world, Yoram inspired so much confidence and pushed me through my boundaries while Ollie helped a tremendous deal with the theory. Erna in the yoga center was amazing as well, even though I weighed 115kg before coming in she was extremely gentle with me and made me actually enjoy my sessions while completely soaking the floor with sweat. Thank you very much Ocean Prana and I'm sure that I'll be back for my AIDA 3 soon!

Our instructor Oli was really good and helpful. The pool was beautiful and the cat there were so cute. I reached 13.5m even though I had a cold right before I started the course. The owner is the world vice championship and very friendly. We had a great experience and nice and friendly course.

My girlfriend and I took the AIDA1 course together to gain some theoretical knowledge and get a bit of experience in the water. Our instructor, Oli, was the best! He made everything so relaxed and easy-going that the whole day was just a lot of fun. When we had lunch together, we also had the opportunity to get to know him personally. Initially, I was a bit panicky in the ocean and wanted to give up. Oli spoke to me in such a calm and reassuring manner that I mustered the courage to continue. I became more and more relaxed and even managed to reach a depth of 10 meters. Without Oli, I would have given up immediately, but now I've discovered a great passion for diving. The diving school as a whole had a relaxed, cool, and clean atmosphere. We can absolutely recommend it. And a special thanks to Oli - we couldn't have asked for a better instructor.

Amazing facilities, but i dislike the fact is a hostel/dormitory type of thing, if you happen to have early morning sessions you'll probably wake up all tired, because of the people messing around late at night. Would give 5 stars for private rooms.

I am a beginner and took 2 group coaching sessions with Yoram. Yoram was an excellent instructor. He was very welcoming, encouraging, and patient. At the same time he was very clear when delivering his feedback to improve my techniques. I had a significant improvement under his coaching. We also did proper warmups before going to the water which I really liked. I highly recommend this freediving school.

One of the World best freediving facility where you can train, eat and sleep in the best conditions. The new restaurant and the yoga class every day are also amazing. Also perfect if you are not a freediver as there are many things to do around.

Beautiful grounds, great rooms helpful staff. If you are staying on the second floor of the hostel huts, it can be tricky to go up and down the stairs / ladder (but the bonus is the top is a little bit more private ;) ) Would definitely stay here again! Recommendation to hostel: please give 50% off yoga to the people STAYING at the hostel. I was planing on going but found the price a little ridiculous considering I was staying there !!
