Breathtaking scenery and worth the visit. Descend down 150 stairs to get to the bottom of the waterfall. It's worth going up the other side to get closer to the top, there is a small cost. Walking back up the stairs could be difficult for some so pace yourself. Definitely take water as there isn't as much tree over as you'd think and it get very hot! There is some great little stores with beautiful silk dresses and robes. Highly recommended checking out this beautiful piece of the world.

A picturesque waterfall in the heart of the Balinese jungle. The amount of water tumbling over the rocks was impressive. As a very popular attraction; be sure to get here early. Lots of picture opportunities on the wall down, you don’t have to stop at the first one. Be careful waking across the bamboo bridges, they can be slick.

You need to buy tickets before you head down to the waterfall. To visit the waterfall, you need to go down the stairs, I would not recommend this place for elderly people as there are way too many stairs. On the way down you can find small shops for refreshment & even have tables and chairs for seating. Photography can be done near the waterfall & even on the way down. People can even have a shower near the Waterfall.

Nice waterfall. Water is muddy brown if it rains.. no swimming allowed during monsoon. You get to climb down around 150+ stairs to get to the fall. So if you are travelling with kid, think before you plan. The stairs are twice the height of regular stairs so be prepared. But overall a very nice experience. There’s an infinity pool if you want to have drinks and chill. There’s also a bridge with glass floor under construction.

One word...Beautiful. one of the finest waterfall of Bali. The place is easily accessible by road. But be ready to climb the stairs up and down to reach the actual waterfall. Advise to carry a water bottle and reach here either early morning or in afternoon. There are couple of spots while going down to the waterfall. Have fun. :)

Late afternoon visit and quite a few people around, around 20 swimming at the bottom. Take the walk down if you can, it’s around 150 odd size steps, no problem for the young and fit, older or bad knees might be an issue. If you can get down you can always buy any at the bar and take the elevator back up again. Nice and scenic but a little over hyped, worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The access road is easy to walk on, i stayed on nearby villa, come on this venue on walk. The entrance fee is the same between domestic and expat, 20.000 IDR. Best time to come is in the morning, less crowded. However, the path to the waterfall is a bit challenging for elderly, multiple step of stair, might seems easy when going down, but literally 'breath-taking' when return (as we need to go up).

Visiting Tegenungan Waterfalls was an unforgettable experience! The beauty of these waterfalls is simply breathtaking. The lush greenery surrounding the falls adds to the natural charm. Be prepared for a bit of a trek down to reach the falls, but the journey is part of the adventure. The path takes you through the picturesque jungle, making it a unique and immersive experience. Once you arrive at the falls, the sight and sound of the cascading water are mesmerizing. The pool at the base is inviting for a refreshing swim, and you can even get closer to feel the mist from the falls. Don't forget to bring your camera because you'll want to capture these moments. Tegenungan Waterfalls is a must-visit destination in Bali, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

Amazing view from the top and bottom of the waterfalls. The restaurant below the waterfalls had DJ playing loud music which provides an great environment to the waterfall itself and keeps you up the toes while going down and up the stairs. There are few photo spots as you go down till the waterfall, so go till the end.

Too crowded. It's easily accessible. Only need to walk down 1 steep flight of staircase. Alternative to have a dip in a small hot spring water pool next to toilet. Water is cold. Waterfall water murky, doesn't looks clean to swim.

Entrance tickets 20k IDR Quite easy to reach, to get down we have to go down some stairs... A little tiring of course, but it pays off with the sound and splash of a refreshing waterfall... The water is a little cloudy, it could be because of the rainy season... There's also a small pool for bathing there, somehow I walked past it without taking a single picture 😂

Went early morning to this place and it was not crowded at that time. Have to walk close to 200 to 300 steps down to reach the falls. Clean and nice place . Some maintenance work was happening on the hand drill of the steps without any discomfort to visitors. Life guard not allowed to close to falls for safety reason which is fair enough. For kids pool kind of arrangements are available to enjoy the water. Good place to visit

Admission was either 10 or 20K for entry. Then you have to walk down the road past the tourist trap of Booth after booth of individuals selling things and asking you numerous times if you would like something. There are a lot of stairs and this is not handicapped accessible. The Falls were beautiful but not spectacular. The bathroom costs 5K. I would not go back here again.

The Waterfall itself is an amazing piece of nature that everyone must come to see. The walk down takes about 10 minutes but it's nothing to be daunted by. Once you reach the bottom get in your swimwear and enjoy nature! A real shame with how commercialised the surrounding area has become though (note Ommo beach club especially).

This place was wonderful. The full force of waterfall makes it majestic. One of the waterfalls where you can take a swim also. Though it is bordered for dangerous area. Change room is available. Lots of restaurants once you enter the area serves a limited menu but with a nice view of the waterfall. Entry fee was IDR 30k. A day club facing waterfall from where you could hear loud music.

Beautiful waterfall and one of the few that allows you to go so close. Do note there are two sides and ticketing is separate for both side. You can't buy the ticket below too. Let you guide know if you want to chill at the cafe side or the side where you can visit see the waterfall from the halfway point.

Beautiful waterfall. It is not gigantic but big enough to enjoy. There are many tourists roaming around especially around noon. Take note of the many steps to go up and down to the water. The path is great. There are several stops for picture taking which is very interesting. It helps to take a break at these stops. There is also a mall spring pool at the bottom as well. The small restaurants along the entrance provide a great place to rest after coming up from the water. The price at these restaurants is a bit above average but still worth it just to sit and have a drink and watch the waterfall from afar. You might be tempted to buy the grill sweet corn along the road to the entrance. Don’t do it! They look cooked from the outside but it is actually uncooked.

This is a spectacular waterfall with a big fall during rainy season. It was massive when i visited. Pity they have a pool and bar down at the river as the party music affects the serenity here. 20,000 idr gets you in.

When you arrive at the vehicle park site, you will see many small shops that sell souvenirs for souvenirs. From the vehicle park area, to get to the location of the falls, you have to walk down the steps. From the staircase you can already see the view of the falls covered by leafy trees. The tear-falls, they're about 4 meters high, but they have a fairly large discharge of water. The waterfall discharge would be huge during the rainy season, which was around December through February. At the bottom of a waterfall you'll be able to find small areas like a pool. The water in the pool is crystal clear and is ideal for you to play with or bathe. But in the rainy season, it is recommended that you try not to bathe, because water discharge is very large. In addition to being able to see the view of the falls, at the site of the falls, you can also see feigned anda supply of water from natural springs.

What is not to love. A beautiful waterfall, lots of spots to take amazing photos clear water. Make sure to cool down with a drink at Omma Day Club on the way back. They have an elevator for customers back to the car park free for customers which would make it worthwhile in itself but on top of that they have an awesome atmosphere and great tunes.

Beautiful waterfall. Many pictures opportunities. You can swim next to the falls or there is a spring water pool next to the WC near the falls. There is a pool and cafe next to the falls, but it will cost you and a bit noisy. Going up is not that bad, just take your time and you will be ok.

Spectacular waterfall that’s been spoiled by over commercialization. Totally ruined a natural picturesque spot with a looming restaurant and social media photo spots. A real shame. Go further North.

Tegenungan Waterfall is a Bali waterfall at the village of Tegenungan Kemenuh, in the Gianyar Regency, north from the capital Denpasar. It is a nice side trip if combined with the artist village of Ubud. It is a rather popular tourist attraction as it is not situated in highlands or mountainous territory. The Falls are not ‘dramatic’ in size but it is a cooling change of environment. There are ways to walk up and down as well can the closer end of the Falls climbed with staircases at different levels. A restaurant/bar is built below with a great relaxing (including a Pool and a lovely Swing) view to the Waterfall. From there, in case you are lazy, you can take a lift up to the street level. It is great for a rest and refreshment with a view! (It’s a bit commercialized as it has minimum consumption charges pending on tables, but otherwise the place might be too overcrowded)

The hike down is a little steep so be careful . There is a resort near the waterfall which plays loud music .. some might not like it but it adds a certain vibe to the place and also try the Ice Cream shop at the bottom . The waterfall itself is good and lots of places for clicking photos. Place is always crowded which also add to a good vibe. Not a must visit place but good enough to spend an afternoon in cold waterfall water 🙏

My first water visit of my first Bali trip. It was very good. Was near to my hotel and I went there in the morning around 8am. Very less people were there at that time so I didn't have to stand and wait in the queue. I was beautiful and I would recommend it to visit once.

My first waterfall visit so definitely a special one for me... After paying the entry fee, it's a steep climb down with a lot of steps, but the excitement is worth it. If you are not able to manage the steps, then the view from the top is still good. Water is not that much clear but people were enjoying in the water. Changing room is there. Overall photogenic place.

Beautiful waterfall. Very steep steps (165 steps) each way. We visited late afternoon so there were a lot of people and litter. A real experience to be able to swim/paddle beneath the waterfall itself.

This is one of the best waterfalls I have ever seen! It is really beautiful and the best part is that you can take bath in it too. The way to reach here is by walking/climbing steps but it is comfortable unlike Tukad Cepung pathway. There is a really cool bar called Omma with infinity pool facing towards the waterfall. It had great vibes but we couldn't go there due to time constraints. 😅 There are so many quirky boards outside changing room that you can use to click photos.

The pictures say it all. Quite a few people. Access to the falls is not for the frail, lots of uneven steps and to get close to the falls for a swim, you need to cross a tiny bamboo bridge. The views from the top are great though! If you want to cross the glass bridge, it's an extra $25aus.

I went on a pretty wet day so it wasn't too busy here at all. Climb up and down is pretty easy so anyone can make it. It was great you could get so close to it. Plenty of places to get good insta pics if you wanted too. Entrance is ticketed but very cheap.

Nice scenic spot, but if hiring while coming back but worth it. Water is very refreshing, dip in the water is good. You can have coffee at the top or the restaurant close to the water fall. The restaurant close to the fall is bit pricey but view is great.

The waterfall was beautiful but it was crowded when we went so it was hard to get nice pics without people in it. Also, there are a lot of steps to walk down to get to the waterfall. There is a restaurant at the bottom and if you buy food from there you can catch the elevator up so you don’t have to climb the steps. The restaurant was a bit pricey but it was delicious! There was also an infinity pool at the restaurant which was a nice spot to view the waterfall.

This waterfall is gorgeous! Like most places in Bali, there is a hill or some stairs! But 150 stairs later you are there! It's an amazing experience and plenty of places and a waterfall to cool off in!

Great falls. Clean water perfect for swimming. (you can't swim right under the falls though since it is cordoned off for safety) 5-10min easy walk to the falls with steps

Really good waterfall to stand and watch You had better be in a good fit condition as the steep steps are all so deep. Ie in England steps are 10" these seem more like 14" doesn't sound much but in 35° heat and 78% humidity and about 400 of them it's a work out but I enjoyed the area

You can access the Waterfall from either side of the river. Entrance fee is 20,000. East side has a beautiful jungle club with clean pools, bali swings, baskets, etc. Gets crowded around noon but quiet in the morning.

We have to walk down so many steps and see this scenic beautiful waterfall. The entry fee to this place is RP20000/head. There are many places to take pictures and also a day club and is bit expensive. Elderly people keep away because very stiff steps when coming up its breath taking.

One of the places to visit for the Ubud trip. Kinda regret not bringing a swimsuit to dip in the water at this waterfall. You need to pay the entrance fee and descend through stairs down to the bottom of the waterfall. Some photos spots along the way, and there was a beach club next to it! Definitely recommend bringing change clothes to enjoy your time here.

  • 4/5 Asser D. 6 months ago on Google
Be ready to walk down the steps and a refreshing dip by the waterfall. I would recommend that you carry water for the day. You can buy tickets on arrival to the waterfall. There are spots for pictures if you want that perfect insta post. The cost for using the swing is separate from the entry ticket. You can buy ice cream and other refreshments by the mini shops around. Always remember your sunscreen 😎

A beautiful place to experience waterfall. Be aware that there is long steep stairway from the top to get to the bottom of the waterfall but it is worth going down. You can also get in the water and experience the waterfall. Then clim back up the stairway. There are bars and places to drink there, so it is not just about the beautiful waterfall.

Tegenungan Waterfall in Bali is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its lush surroundings and cascading beauty. Nestled in the lush greenery of the Ubud region, the waterfall offers a serene escape from the bustling city life. Upon arrival, the vibrant greenery and the sound of rushing water create a tranquil atmosphere. The cascading falls, with their powerful yet graceful descent, provide a mesmerizing spectacle. The pool at the base of the waterfall invites visitors to take a refreshing dip, adding to the overall allure of the experience. The accessibility of Tegenungan Waterfall adds to its appeal, as it doesn't require an arduous trek to reach. This makes it suitable for a wide range of visitors, from nature enthusiasts to families looking for a picturesque spot to unwind. While its popularity has grown, especially in recent years, the site manages to maintain its natural charm. However, it's advisable to visit early in the day to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the serenity of the surroundings. In conclusion, Tegenungan Waterfall is a must-visit destination in Bali, offering a harmonious blend of nature's beauty and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful escape in the heart of this Indonesian paradise.

If you like nature BUT don't mind the crowd, then this is a place to go. We arrived early but there's already a crowd. Entrance fee is IDR 20K. Not recommended to elderly people and people with mobility issues since you'll need to hike around 1000 steps to get near the waterfall. Water looks brown but isn't dirty. That's what you expect if the water comes from a mountain. Swimming under the water fall isn't allowed. If you get to the top, you'll need to pay another IDR 20K for entrance fee. There's a few day clubs where you can stay. Many stalls where you can buy stuff as well. Spacious parking space. If you need to use the toilet, you'll need to pay around IDR 5K. There are so many stairs that need to go down to this waterfall. This waterfall is not very clean but it is fast. Must pay to enter this waterfall. One of my best experiences in Bali is this waterfall. One has to buy a ticket worth 20,000 Indonesian Rupiah and go down to the waterfall. A heavy waterfall that causes drops to splash on your face. It's amazing! The rocks are a bit slippery and one has to be careful and need the right shoes. We had fun taking pictures at various places from Bird's Nest to waterfalls. If you do not want to go down, you can also take a picture from above that offers a beautiful view of the waterfall. This place is completely overrun with tourists, but not in a good way. There's lines everywhere to just take a picture in one of those nests that obscure the view of the waterfall itself. People are really pushy and the whole waterfall area feels like a huge party, with littering and no regard or respect for the wildlife or religious aspects of the place. We definitely didn't enjoy our time here and mainly just wanted to leave as it felt more like an amusement park than anything else. Note: Visited prior to COVID, so things may be slightly different.

This is the most easy walk waterfall compared to others in Bali. Five minutes walk from the upside. But since the waterfall is a bit strong, you cannot swim around it.

Highly recommend this waterfall. It's huge. Has a lot of spots to take pictures and only costs 20k p.p. Go early in the morning as it gets busy pretty fast. At the time we were there there was a proposal happening which was cool. You can get pretty close.

A true convenience trip to waterfall: easy to access from the city, spacious parking, short trekking to the spot, and the waterfall itself is pretty. Should come

🫤 This is an interesting place, the glass bridge is quite unique, however the 250,000rp price of admission which is very expensive for what amounts to 10minutes of walking across, is not worth it. Highly overpriced and I would advise people have a look local waterfalls etc, much more interesting and n...
