Quaint place. Beautiful setting at the beach front. The chocolate wasn't anything noteworthy. The cold chocolate doesn't really taste like chocolate at all... Some weir Hobbit like buildings with a friendly goose and some cows strolling around. Although the only visitors the owner couldn't even say hi when we visited. The road to the place is barely drivable were you litterally have to drive through streams. If you are in the vicinity one can enjoy the surroundings. A I can imagine there could be fun parties to be had.

Hi Charly, My partner and I visited your Chocolate Factory on the 23rd July and as a result purchased 2 x krunch, 1 x Gojo Bite-Size Nibbles, 1 x nuteresa, 3 soap story books and 8 x soap. It is obvious we enjoyed your product taste testing and purchased gifts for our family and friends. We arrived in Australia today and I was so excited to open the bottle of nuteresa (Chocolate Spread) to give my children a taste (as well as have more myself) and to my disappointment, it did not taste the same as the taste test. It tastes sour and off. I looked on the bottle and could not find any expiry nor packaging date. I kept it in a cool place the rest of my stay in Bali and even carried it in my hand luggage aboard the plane to keep it cool, so I know storage was not the issue. As per previous reviews I just read, the location is amazing with a beautiful beach front view and the set up is cute with unique buildings. I was glad it wasn't packed with tourists. Be proud of what you have and offer to show people. The staff were not welcoming and we were not offered any tours or explanation on how the chocolate or soap is made...just a quick show of the beans and a taste test of the 4 types of chocolate products. The entrance fee was disclosed after the tasting and is reasonable for up keep, just make it known at the door with a sign. Get people to wash their hands with your soap before they try your chocolate samples. I have yet to see how your soaps are, they are presented well and smell nice. I will leave you with this feedback to hopefully improve your products and protect your business. Kind Regards, Nell

Really hard to find down an incredibly rough route. Situation is amazing right on the beach, with great surf, and views. I can't help thinking that this place is an abandoned movie set from the 1970's. It must have been rather unique in its time but now looks run down and inside the work areas where the product is made it was very dirty. The staff were disinterested and we had to go look for them. There's no tours, and only when my wife pressed them did they give an overview of the chocolate making process. The soap wasn't mentioned, and there was no samples etc. There brief explanation of the chocolate resulted in us trying the hot chocolate drink. This was incredibly nice. Would I come back again? No... Been there and done that

If you drive a car DON'T TRUST THE DIRECTION GIVEN BY GMAPS 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thankfully my car wasn't stuck by the muddy ground an really narrow space 😆 But actually this place is beautiful. The people around said that if you want to get here by car, you can just enter the beach beside this place, and walk around to reach here, for about 10 minutes walking, they said. There are two swings. The beach is beautiful Unfortunately I reach this place in evening, sunset time. Will come here again next time. Oh, if you go to Bali, please visit another beautiful place in East Bali. Hard to reach but perfectly paid by the scenery 🥰🥰

Very beautiful place - amazing scenery, breathtaking swings, ocean view, coconut palms & cows eating green. You may buy choco drinks, cookies, pancakes, etc. the factory itself is closed & it takes a lot of effort to maintain this place. Please come here to support while riding close & take a choco bite with nice views.

We visited during a time when no one was really working but Charlie was amazing. Showed us the chocolate making process, let us taste the different stages, showed us his very high up home and also the swing. Fun time! We were supposed to go back to get chocolate on our way back to the hotel but it was late and we didn’t make. Didn’t get it when we were there because we didn’t want it to melt while it exploring. I really hope we get the chance to get back out there. Chocolate was really good!

If your are looking for "Charlie and the chocolate factory" vibes think twice before you visit. You won't find any Oompa-Loompas here and there are no tours available. You can only taste some chocolate and chocolate spread and then relax on a swing or in nearby huts. The place is not bad and there aren't many tourists usually there, so if you want some peace and quiet, you might find it here. The beach is also very nice.

What can I say but WOW! What an amazing place, full of character and so unique! It was above and beyond what I was expecting after looking at pictures online! We had the privilege of meeting the amazing Charli who is the genius behind the place, thank you for your time and all you have done for the village! You are amazing and inspirational! Only a small arrangement of chocolates are made here but all very tasty, and the cold chocolate milk was devine. They also make soaps, all made with coconut oil, and are beautifully presented! The grounds are well maintained as are the beachfront swings. The buildings are starting to show their age but this is part of the unique charm, which we have not come across anywhere else in Bali. The location is on a stunning part of the coast, down a rustic dirt road, however it could be sign posted a little better. Thank you for a great afternoon! What a hidden treasure!

Delicious chocolate with beautiful sea view. The building is unique but it needs to be renovated. I think during the pandemic we should visit then and we can help them to survive by buying their chocolate

Not much of a chocolate tour at all. Took all but 5 mins to show us the beans and taste their 2 products. But we enjoyed our mocha coffee and having a quiet place to sit and rest. Would we make the trip back here again. Probably not.

Disappointed by this place which is not a chocolate factory. The road cannot be found, no sign or indication. When we arrived we had to ask for someone to take care of us. We sit you down and give you 2 chocolate chips and a spoonful of spread. No explanation if you don't ask questions. The cocoa seeds are imported from another region of Bali, nothing local... We ask to see the workshops, we were taken into a dirty back kitchen where no one was making anything, and once again no explanation. The prices are very expensive. 75,000 rp for a small pot of spread, or more than €5… much more expensive than in France. The place itself is very very pretty!

A good alternative place to take photos, lots of coconut trees, unique buildings, and located on the beach, all the staff are very kind and friendly.

Various types of chocolate and soap are on sale. Before purchasing, an inexpensive presentation in English where you can try everything. The local girl who spoke spoke a little Russian. Cash payment. Prices are reasonable. The place is very beautiful, so if you come alone, you are guaranteed a photo session. The downside is the road to the factory. Ground cover (crushed stone with sand) and lack of signs. When you come across a building, you need to continue moving to the right until you reach the open exit to the sea and the factory gate.

Wow! A hidden gem here in Bali. Definitely worth driving up from Sanur. Amazing and relaxing place to visit. The chocolate, chocolate drinks and the vegan burgers are a must try. Make sure you say hi to goose while you visit.

Expect a run-down place, but a fun chocolate tasting, authentic hot (or cold) chocolate, pleasant staff, and good prices. Our 6- and 4-year-old boys loved the huts, swings, and cows.

I really like this place, I've been there for the third time. Delicious hot chocolate overlooking the ocean. Sit on the swing, listen to the chatter of local aunties, admiring the waves. Chocolate and other products are of very good quality.

The chocolate is nice but the staff are so disinterested and keen to just get rid of you so they can keep talking amongst themselves. There was no overview of the place or explanation around how the chocolate is made. Less than impressed.

I will say this will be the Haven on Eart - the enviremint is unique, but unfortunately, if you are looking for the chocolate fabric, this will not be your place. Not enough friendly people and very small range on product.

🫤 Probably not worth a stop. Paid 30k entrance. Was given a little pamphlet with some info but without a map it was a little confusing. They were setting up for some event and we were the only tourists that have signed in that day, and none the day before.

👍👍 Went to Bali Asli to attend one day cooking class experience and everything exceeded my expectations. From the welcoming drink to the grocery and spices shopping at the market accompanied by chef Desi to the indoctrination and explanations of Bali foods and ingredients and finally the cooking class...

👍👍 Nice natural spring with clear water and fish in it. Not a one tourist on our visit, only some locals. We visited with our driver. We were said the locals believed it is the "fertility spring" and pairs that have trouble conceiving are coming to bathe in it. ☺️
