Great gym at a great location, not so far from the main road. Got proper and maintained equipments, large swimming pool, sauna, sand bags, a dance/class studio and a small coffeeshop inside. They offer classes and you can check the schedule on their Instagram. Price is competitive compared to similar gym within the area. For cheaper price, go for their monthly (550K), 3 (1050K), 6 (1960K), 12 months bundles. Spacious parking. Online and card payments are available. They also sell protein.

Literally the best gym I have ever seen! This gym features multiple treadmills, several elliptical trainers and bikes. This gym has all the equipment you could need, with free weights going above 40kg. All in an air-conditioned room. You can even enjoy some crossfit type training beside the outdoor pool that’s super relaxing to swim in after a work out. In addition to this all they have a separate room for group classes and where you could do some bodyweight exercises. After the workout you can enjoy a nice protein shake for 30k rupiah, and enjoy a salmon burger for the same price too! Water is free and you don’t need to bring your own towels since they provide them for free. The dressing room is nicely equipped with lockers, hairdryer and multiple showers. If you happen to forget some clothes, don’t worry! They sell all the clothing you could need. You can get all of this for the price of 100k rupiah per time, or a monthly membership for 600k. I would suggest you should go between 12:00 and 16:00, since they have happy hour and a single time ticket is only 40k rupiah.

I like this jam BUT. YOU CANT GET A MACHINE because there all taken by people sitting on them, texting, or taking selfies. It’s king of pathetic, workout for 5minutes, and spend 15 on your phone posting pics, to friends. I asked the employees about it, and I got a shoulder shrug, and was told to relax. So this is how I relax. I’m looking at other jyns now

Let's get together and feel alright. This gym is popular fitness centre👍, friendly staff, good gym, with swimming pool and sauna. Just the shower is not that good. The location is ok but the entrance access is very narrow, very difficult when drive a car.

I have been to Bali many times and began using Louis and Friends because it was close. It is a popular gym, the staff are very friendly and try to accommodate your needs. On arrival you are given a key to a locker and two towels; a small one for the gym and a ‘larger’ one for the sauna should you wish to use it. The larger towel barely covers what it has to but given the saunas are gender separate it’s not really a big deal unless you are very shy. The towel may also be used for the outside pool. This is a large pool probably 20 to 25m in length and 6 or 7m wide and available for any paying customer/member to use or simply lounge around in the available couches. The gym itself is well equipped with both machines and work centres as well as plenty of free weights, bars, benches and squatting frames. I have read some reviews which complain the machines are old. They do not look old to me. The technology in the design is not the most modern but pretty standard. A lot of the machines have flat weights with pins, some have places to hang weights but in reality the user is simple lifting a heavy thing; its not rocket science. If it’s too light put on more weight, too heavy, take some off. As I said it’s not rocket science. There are plenty of treadmills a few skiing machines, a reclined and an upright aerobic bikes. There are only two bikes from memory down stairs but upstairs (accessed from both inside the gym proper or the reception area) there is a spin room with about 20 good spin bikes that can be used at any time. Additionally upstairs there is a large exercise/class group area. The downstairs gym is air conditioned and has two lots of filtered water for use; one at room temperature and one chilled. I have also read reviews complaining there are too many gay users at the gym. Those comments seem to me to say more about the reviewers than the gym users. I’m a behavioral psychologist and I struggle to notice anyone who is gay so I’m not sure how an untrained person can. Perhaps they confuse gay with levels of being effeminate. Regardless in my experience gay people improve most situations. My only real complaint, and it’s not really a complaint about the gym per se, is the high number of users who complete two or three repetitions of an exercise and then spend 5 to 10 minutes on their phone executing some social media exercise. These are mostly young female, they video themselves, talk to their phones, sit on the machines so no one else can use them and often leave their towels on ANOTHER bench or machine so that can’t be used either. Now I just go to lay on their towel and they quickly move it. The change room is small but has some 60 or so individual lockers, the showers are ok and within the change room showers is the sauna. Not the greatest sauna but functional and hot enough. Pricing is very fair with monthly, three monthly and 12 monthly memberships but if you are only there for a couple of weeks they also have a ‘happy hour’ between 12 noon and 4 pm. You only have to START between these times not start AND finish. I find this very reasonable. My Balinese friend calls this the tourist gym and it probably is but regardless L and F is in my opinion a good gym to try. I would have given this gym 5 stars but I know some users have complained about the social media addicts but the ‘behind the counter staff’ just shrug their shoulders. I’m guessing they have neither the skill, confidence nor the authority to do anything about it.

Pretty expensive and too busy with influencers, quite an unfriendly crowd. If you're an Instagram influencer who loves to be seen then this is probably the place for you but regular people who just want to workout stay away. Recommend OK Gym or Dewa Fitness if you just want to workout without being in the background of someone's "Day in the life Bali" YouTube video.

At first I thought Louis and Friends was a great choice for my wife and I. They were running a promo that I thought was the best in town and the facilities seem nice. But as the days turned into months, my wife and I slowly started to grow weary of the general hullabaloo. For starters, the building and equipment are in much need of some remodel/replacement. Second, the facility isn’t even that large to begin with. In particular, it’s not large enough to support how many members frequent its premises. My wife and I enjoyed the workout classes but got tired with the repeated workout routines class after class. Be prepared for bathrooms that smell like a two-day-old diaper and get ready to be sized up by many of the men who frequent this gym, even if you’re a dude. I’ve heard personal accounts of several friends, including my wife, who have been blatantly eyed up and down and even directly flirted with. Since then, we’ve moved to another gym that had an even better promo along with a facility and equipment that is twice as good as Louis. The choice is yours; your destiny awaits.

90% of the time it's Too Busy , impossible to get a workout done in a timely manner. Too many people taking up space who aren't doing anything or using areas for the wrong purpose making other machines unavailable . Too many posers there to socialize , making videos for Instagram etc.terrible gym. Machines are also filthy .

Good price for happy hour and free towel use. Water of the Swimming pool is cleaner now. However, the brand of the training equipment is not the high standard one and rather to be poor standard. Air conditioning is not working properly often. One thing I really don’t like is there are too many gay people and few females working out in this gym and feel very uncomfortable...

Gym is big and well equiped, ventilation system also works fine just it's overcrowded. Could you extend closing hours 1 to 2 h? It's closing now at 7 pm. Would be great if it's working till 8 or 9 pm. I came last time at 6 pm and it was around 30-40 people. All stations were busy and it's quite frustrating.

Nice big swimming pool is a huge plus. Good air con, is also huge. If getting your work done is what's important It's ok - if u go at 7 a.m. After that you may have to wait for a machine. Sauna is usually not working well. It's rather run down, and poorly maintained, but I like it for the pool.

The studio is a bit older in terms of equipment, but let's be honest, if you want to work out, you don't need chrome, you need iron and steel. Fitness doesn't come from glamour, it comes from hard work! But even more important is a good atmosphere, and you'll definitely find that here. Locals, expats and tourists train together here. There's a good and focused atmosphere. People have nice conversations with each other and train hard. For me, one of the best studios in Bali, especially at a very good price.

Good place. I was in Bar before and I liked that there is much brighter (everything is white) and it was hard to find somebody who texting something or sitting on social media while sitting at the machine. Here, is much darker. It’s like always evening there. However, it’s spacious, the price is in the market, and you have this pool with sauna, that’s great. Also, there are classes in the morning, so I drive my spouse there, during my training in the gym. One guy already left a great long and detailed review of this place, recommend finding it. Here you can find everything you need (except for the calves machine, but I didn’t see it either in Bar). So the machines are good. Not great - but they do what you need. For me it’s just dark there, and many instagirls who sitting on the machine between the sets, so it’s hard to split the machine with somebody, but you can try)) Still going here.

50k during the Happy Hour from 12-4 pm. Regular drop in price was 110k 💜 I don’t understand why people are criticizing this gym. It’s is a bit outdated but there’s everything you need. Free weights, squat rack, machines, cardio equipment… I would defo recommend going during the Happy Hour Protein scoop was 30k 🌺

Once upon a time there was a great gym, Louis&Friends Now its unfortunately a run down place. Dirty floors, dirty mats, dirty mirrors (on a replacement is after 5 month still the size of the mirror listed with a marker), most cardio machines are broken. Grips on some machines are sometimes replaced, or mostly not. I am not even talking about all the foreign wannabe PT coaching in load voices and demanding lots of space. Then you have all the cute influencers taking 1000 pics a day and blocking machines as well. The price is great, the pool is finally more or less also great again but overall I cant rate it higher than 3* anymore

Great AND disgusting To summarize a year of membership that I ended this summer: For 10 months out of 12 there were broken mirrors on the walls, posing a risk of severe injuries due to the sharp shards that still stuck to the wall while other parts were fallen off Showers and toilets would be shut down if any health authority visited - rotten toilet doors if any (some toilets have shower curtain). Insufficient light, some shower stalls are in dark. Hair, dirt, and gross clusters of slime or what in the showers. Shower walls are made of pop cans, the openings are sharp and pose a risk of cut. Many showers have no shower curtain. For the entire period only 3 or 4 showers had curtain. Only one of those had light. Soap was missing almost always, even after repeated requests to the staff over several days. The list of health dangers would be too exhausting to make. Think 2 approx. 10 cm long nails on the side wall hurting yout arm as you turn around inside of the toilet stall. Every day in the afternoon you don’t get towel. They run out daily. (Why not buying more is beyond anyone’s comprehension.) There’s no space for floor exercise downstairs, unless you want to squeeze yourself in between tightly positioned machines or take that one spot on the uneven floor made of plastic tiles. Upstairs studio would be okay for individual work out (outside of classes) but there’s never a yoga mat. If yes, it’s a broken ripped one and the staff just places it back instead of throwing it out. Repeatedly, over and over and… over. There’s never an announcement (at least on IG) when there’s an issue - e.g. closed pool, ie you may end up keep coming for swim and being turned down, or access road being flooded to hip height (so that you can plan your trip and try arriving from the opposite side if you can access that in rains). One of the treadmills has never been in operation, permanent sign “under maintenance” sits on it. Another one broke occasionally and it always took very long to get that one back. Machines and equipment are mostly really good, and there’s a good selection including many dumbbells. The pool, when open, is a great and rare asset. I guess it’s 25 meters so allows a reasonable real swim, not just a dip. The sunchairs are broken and never been replaced. Things that belong to trash are simply everywhere. There’s sauna which I never dared to try. The repulsive state of the locker room and adjacent shower/toilet spaces is a huge giant red flag for hygiene and health safety. Rotten door (same like toilets, moldy and half eaten wood) is just not a good indicator. There’s hot water in shower. Music is not nice. As in nearly all places in Bali, the management does not respect the right of everyone to chose what they want to listen to. Earphones mostly work but at times the volume and nature of the music they impose, makes it impossible to listen to your own thing (despite noise canceling ones). They offer usually 2 free classes in the morning which is great, yoga, cardio workouts and cycling for which there’s a dedicated cozy studio. Drinking water is provided, there’s 2 dispensers. -> Overal, when pool works and machines work, it’s great while there are soooo many things utterly disgusting. Why did I go for so long? For lack of options and with avoiding locker rooms big time! For those who read the review above - update 3 months later: a diplomatic lip service for an answer (below) and NOTHING has been improved. Not even the simplest things such as buying more towels to have enough for their members, filling up soap dispensers, or removing long nails from toilet stall walls.

Look it's got decent suite of equipment but can the owner sort out basics like Towels.. I see daily how staff gets abused to to a lack of basics, like towels, it's not.a rare occurrence but daily, is it to much to ask since we pay a membership fee? Secondly another aircon can make.it a better experience.. it's gets too hot to do any form of cardio properly.

Dirty! Hot! The receptionists don't know the answer to any question. The reception is dirty, personal belongings of employees are lying around, slippers, clothes, everything is scattered! The cost of a subscription is 650,000 per month, personal training is 250,000 per session, the price is not the lowest, but the condition of the gym and the attitude of the employees are as if everything there is free!

It's showing it's age, showers are in bad shape. The pool is not maintained well enough, it's looking like it should be cleaned more often. Gym equipment is good though. But the price/quality ratio is good. Anyways it is pretty impossible to find gym with a pool this big

Medium sized gym with a little bit older but solid/functional machines and equipment. Got all you need to fill a good workout, even multiple squat racks. Reasonable prices (110k for a day pass, 50k during happy hours if you enter between 12 noon and 4pm). Some local gymrats joking around with the tourist and spreading fun vibes. Locker rooms were alright and one of the staff ladies even went through the place and handed fresh towels to people without one. Overall a raw and authentic gym experience, loved it there!

Only good for weight training & cardio training - not enough space and bath rooms are not well maintained but I reckon this is due to over crowding- overall 7/10 experiences and one more thing - day price is 110,000 idr and if you go in happy hours it’s 50,000 idr /hr (12 pm to 4 pm )

I have been going to this gym for a few weeks now and appreciate how accommodating the staff are. I am typically very particular about the gyms I choose to train at but have been loving Louis and friends. Equipment is clean, towels, protein shakes are provided if needed, a fun outside area, and it ultimately has been a safe environment to train and become a better version of myself. Sometimes I feel intimidated at gyms. I don’t feel that here

This gym is a Covid hotspot. It's very compact and the machines are extremely close together. They barely clean them. I felt extremely uncomfortable here. It should be closed or they need to spread out the machines more. They also need to limit the amount of people. It's more of a poser gym than a place you'd go to get avoid workout. Avoid until the pandemic is over! It's places like this that will postpone the reopening of Bali to foreigners.

With that price you can get good facilities included pool. The bad things about this fitness center is the towel. Their towel didn't absorbing water well. They should change the towel!

  • 3/5 James F. 3 years ago on Google
It's got very good equipment and I really enjoy to use it. The happy hour price is good and lots of promos on right now on the monthly memberships. The towels are good but sometimes they are made of nylon which isn't practical for sweat. The worst part of all is the air conditioning, it's basicallt never that cold inside. Every so often things get even worse, they don't have enough air conditioners and the ones they have don't work well. I hope they can fix this soon!

Modern equipment, wide fitness area and there is pool and sauna as well. Unfortunately I had to stop my membership there. Bcs one of the staff (male) offer me to extend my membership by just paying him half of the actual price (IDR 300.000). I told to the other staff about that but never get any feedback or even an apologize. I start thinking maybe its usual for them. But I dont know? Anw Its a good gym after all.

(Translated by Google) I was looking for a room in Canggu for a month. I learned about this fitness center. I decided to write to WA to find out the details. Representatives of the audience are clearly having business correspondence. (Original) Искал зал в Чангу на месяц. Узнал про этот фитнес-центр. Решил написать в WA, чтобы узнать подробности. С деловой перепиской у представителей зала явно проблемы.

😠 I was really unhappy with my visit. They don't have changing rooms at all. So you have to change in the toilet. The shower is on the 5th floor along with the swimming pool (gym is on the ground floor). Same doesn't have changing rooms + there was only cold water. The equipment is new, but very lim...

😠 ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! If you genuinely care about animals you would not support these people. I could not possibly give my money to these people. The conditions these horses lived in literally brought tears to my eyes. There was two horses who clearly hadn’t been washed in months, mangey and ma...
