Have been training with Coach Nico Han for 10-days or so now, while in Bali this summer. It has been a great experience so far. Nico is a super humble guy, and really hands on. He's rolled with me each session. I am a 48 Y.O. 1-year WB, training in Gi, and this club is mostly no-gi. So new guy, no spring chicken, throw in that its a club in a new part of the world with a bunch of dudes that I've never met, to say that I was nervous would be an understatement. However, Nico and his team have been welcoming from the first moment. I am a much more confident BJJ practitioner now than I was last week, great job and thanks guys. Super good value as well, Nico isn't hammering the tourists for all their Rupiah either. The teaching style and format is cool. Super chill, and based on progressions. All this last 10-days or so we've been working on back Mount escapes, with transitions to top position, darce chokes, ashi garami, etc. Then positional same, and then rolling. It's cool to stay on one thing for several sessions, getting lots of reps and dialing in the little details. I can't wait now to get back to my home club, which I love, and then let them take my back, ha! This has been a great summer holiday so far. Being able to train consistently at Synergy has been the apple on the pie.

Coach Niko is super friendly and relaxed and his instruction is basic enough for beginners yet there are lots of details for more advanced students to pick up on. I've learned some great techniques to add to my game and I love that coach Niko points out the mechanics of becoming efficient rather than using strength. Classes are small enough to get a few personalized pointers but there are is a wide enough variety of students from beginners to black belts to roll with. A great school and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

Came by for a no-gi class during a short trip to Bali. I had a great time training here! The techniques being taught and instruction from Niko was awesome, very detailed and some stuff I can immediately add to my game. Everyone was also very friendly and welcoming, and the level of BJJ was definitely high for everyone I rolled with. It’s situated on a rooftop space with plenty of mat space, nice view and cool breeze. I am definitely going back whenever I get the chance. Can recommend to anyone, both beginners and experienced folks!

Great academy with exceptionally supportive folks and a great professor Niko – coming here was probably my best decision in a while :) People usually train without gi which is a good thing for newbies since you won’t need any equipment to start 👌

Absolutely amazing place to come and train your BJJ whether you’re dropping in on holidays, like me, or living in Bali, like I used to. I like the way we learn the submission and the defence to the submission each class and then get into some free rolls. Niko has a great attention to detail and everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the rooftop has a nice natural cool down breeze, you can’t really ask for more!

It was an amazing experience getting trained by Professor Niko. He's extremely knowledgeable and focuses on developing an understanding of the right techniques and positioning of the body to use to your advantage. One of the best things I liked about the sessions is that he teaches you how to use your skill to defend yourself in real life scenarios. Highly recommend !

I came to Bali on a short trip and looked around to see where I could maybe drop in. I found synergy bjj on google and decided to come to one of their classes. Professor Nico was super cool/ chill/ and had excellent instruction and details. He made sure to take his time and explain to me the moves that were being done that day and made sure that when I left I had a thorough understanding of what was taught. It was a privilege to be able to train for just 2 sessions with Niko during my time in Bali- I learnt so much As a white belt, advanced no gi classes can often be too complicated and you can feel like your wasting the time of more advanced classmates. However Niko was humble, patient and took the time to break each small part down until he was satisfied I understood the techniques. Will definitely train again when I return to Bali and would 10/10 recommend to any locals looking for a gym or travellers passing through in need of a couple classes

A nice rooftop gym with a beautiful tropical scenery and a cooling breeze, very fitting for a gym located in Canggu. Niko is very knowledgeable not only in BJJ techniques, but also in the history of BJJ and grappling martial arts. Was a bit nervous at first as a no-stripe white belt who's never really trained no-gi before, but everyone was really humble and friendly. Definitely recommend for any BJJ practicioner visiting Bali!

Awesome place to train while in Bali. This is a fantastic BJJ class, straightforward no-nonsense teaching by coach Niko who creates a great atmosphere. The regulars, a mix of locals and expats with very good level, are super welcoming and ready to share their knowledge and every class you also have the chance to train with visitors from all over the world.

This gym has gi and no gi classes. I didn't bring my kimono so I trained the no gi classes for my third time of my BJJ journey😅. So much different from gi, but it was fun! Niko is the coach and he is very patient and friendly. He stays after class to answer students questions. Very professional and have the heart of BJJ. I will definitely train here again when I come to Bali next time! PS. One of his students called Johnny, he is a "Neck Collector"! Watch out his Darce choke and Guillotine! I hated it! Kind and welcoming asmosphere. Good location in Canggu above a restaurant with a scenic view from the mats. Only had the chance to train once but the coaching was very good and methodical with nice drills putting the techniques together. A fun training session with some solid rolls at the end.

Great spot & coaching. Niko is a solid instructor who chains concepts really well. I dropped by for one session during a short holiday and that 1.5 hrs session really improved my understanding of nogi takedown game. The session was a good mix of drilling and learning new concepts to a full on rolling after the class. The venue itself is an outdoors rooftop mat which adds on to a great atmosphere at the club. Highly recommend paying them a visit. I for sure will be coming back.
