I
was
a
bit
unsure
about
training
for
open
water
diver
certification.
I
had
my
first
ever
scuba
dive
in
another
continent
and
loved
it.
But
going
ahead
with
the
training
for
being
an
autonomous
diver
felt
like
a
whole
another
level.
I
contacted
about
10
schools
in
Bali
that
are
affiliated
with
Scuba
Schools
International
(SSI).
I
never
wanted
to
go
with
PADI
because
I’ve
always
found
them
to
be
overpriced
everywhere
in
the
world.
After
being
in
touch
with
a
number
of
schools
and
not
feeling
convinced,
I
finally
got
in
touch
with
Bruno.
Bruno
is
a
platinum
diver
with
7000
plus
dives!
He’s
an
absolute
legend
in
the
water
and
his
reassuring
attitude,
patience
and
confidence
in
my
abilities
(not
to
mention
the
million
and
one
questions
I
had
for
him
for
literally
everything
in
the
program!)
helped
me
realise
my
diving
potential.
Thankfully,
I’ve
overcome
my
apprehensions
about
any
kind
of
diving.
Bruno
being
my
mentor
was
one
of
the
important
factors
in
me
being
a
scuba
diver.
I
STRONGLY
recommend
that
you
take
a
chance
and
leap
of
faith
in
learning
how
to
SCUBA
dive,
and
if
you’re
in
Bali,
make
sure
you
go
ahead
with
Bruno
and
team.
After
completing
my
open
water
diving
course
and
getting
certified-
I
decided
to
go
ahead
with
the
SSI
Advanced
Adventurer
program!
Again,
being
trained
by
Bruno
gave
me
an
edge
and
I
went
ahead
with
5
specialty
adventure
dives:
deep
diving,
night
diving,
perfect
buoyancy,
wreck
diving
and
computer
dive.
I’m
now
and
certified
Advanced
Adventurer
diver,
thankfully.
Bruno’s
twin
brother
Eric
was
around
while
I
was
training.
It
was
a
pleasure
having
him
as
my
dive
buddy
for
several
dives,
along
with
Alit-
also
a
pro
diver
and
part
of
Bruno’s
squad.
We
dived
at
several
locations,
Jemeluk,
Jemeluk
Wall,
Lipa
Bay,
the
Pyramids,
Tulamben.
The
wreck
dive
with
Bruno
at
the
USAT
Liberty
was
epic,
along
with
the
other
dives.
In
my
final
dive
with
Bruno
(I
decided
to
have
2
additional
fun
dives
because
I
loved
it
so
much),
he
gave
me
the
courtesy
of
leading
the
dive
and
using
my
navigational
skills.
It
was
a
huge
confidence
booster.
We
dived
with
Stingrays,
saw
and
octopus
and
a
Hawksbill
Turtle
(the
stingrays
and
the
turtles-
we
saw
on
several
other
dives
as
well).
I’d
also
recommend
staying
over
at
Alami
Dive
Resort-
right
next
door.
They
literally
have
the
best
restaurant
in
Amed
in
my
opinion-
Ketut
and
Ayu
are
fantastic
managers
and
I
had
very
nice
times
there!
It’s
reasonably
priced,
clean,
super
comfy
and
works
well
Bruno’s
Dive
center.
I
could
even
chill
out
in
the
pool
until
late-
after
dinner
whenever
I
wanted
to!
Here’s
to
hoping
you
get
a
chance
to
have
an
awesome
time
with
Bruno!
