This place is not easy to get to without a motorbike. The dogs in this area are viscious and scary. The food may take a while but the family that runs this place is so sweet and the food is great. Try the hot chocolate. Also ask them about seeing their woodworking at the old man's house!! They're ridiculously good Craftsman!! I love them. They were so sweet and gave us salak (snakeskin fruit) and passion fruit to go.

We stopped by for a small meal in between the visitations of the temples nearby, but stayed quite a while to chat with Putu and his lovely mother Kadek. The two are very friendly people and told us a lot about their place and life there. They have a small warung with two guesthouses. The beautiful view and the nice chat were a welcome variety of the more quick-tourism focussed spots to visit closer to ubud.

Food Was Tasty, View was great and nature was amazing. Love to go there again.

The most hearty place I visited on Bali. Tasty traditional kitchen.. try Nasi goreng.. fresh fruits straight from garden and their own cocoa, coffee or luwak. Kadek also offers accomodation... in the bamboo house with great view to surrounding forrest. Highly recommended to stay here at least one night.

Quite simply the best dining (and beyond) experience our family had during our last visit to Bali. Mr. and Mrs. Kadek were visibily giving extra efforts to welcome their lucky guests in the friendliest, most hospitable way possible. And the food itself: outrageously delicious! (we felt somewhat guilty at underexpecting the taste firstly) They even offered traditional vegetarian dishes that were on season and not on menu yet. After the meal, we shared stories and upon knowing that I am on a chocolate-venturing journey, the Kadek family lovingly plucked a fresh cocoa fruit of their own garden and let us try. It turned out to be one of the fruitiest cocoa beans I have ever tried and definitely ranked among my favourites. In general, do yourself a favour of visiting this gem (or consider staying at their 'real-Balinese-experience' homestay).

Such a wonderful family run warung. We were treated to some coffee that grown on site, fresh passionfruit from the orchard and tasty local snacks. The panoramic views of the jungle made our meal extra special!

I stayed here for a few days and cannot recommend this enough if you want to wind down after busy Bali hopping. I experienced true Balinese hospitality by a very humble Balinese family and enjoyed quiet time, sipping amazing coffee with incredible serene views and delicious Traditional Balinese food. Putu, Kadek and Wayan outdid themselves with their generosity and I can highly recommend! I shall be back! 🙏
