Endless options for easy to moderate hiking through eucalyptus trees, large open fields, marsh land and along the coast. Beautiful scenic views. Dog friendly with ample parking. Well maintained and clean with numerous bathrooms.

An easy stretch of the Bay View Trail circles around Point Pinole, where there’s a well-maintained fishing pier that juts into the bay. While there are portions of the trial that are unpaved, picnic tables and restrooms are strategically sprinkled along the way and a paved road isn’t far away. It’s a nice place for a scenic walk along the water.

Beautiful park with great views of the San Pablo Bay, nice paths through a mature eucalyptus tree forest, and a nice public fishing pier.

A nice place for walking. Along the shore line there is a trail with Eucalyptus aside, so won’t be that hot during summer time. A lot of people were fishing there, they caught giant sturgeon, flatfish, bass, ect.

It was a beautiful hike! The trail is by the shores of San Pablo bay. The beaches are not big hence not too crowded. Some trail path do take us down to the beach and is perfect to sit down with your dog while you rejuvenate from the week. It is an easy hike, spent about an hour or so before we returned. Would surely come back here again! It’s also not super windy like the other beaches up north

It was a surprise for us. We just find this trail from google map. It is pretty good along the shore. You see folks are fishing. There is one docking place too. Check out the pictures I uploaded.

My dog has the time of her life. So many dogs, families, bikers, walkers enjoying the beautiful day and trails. Plenty of bathrooms and a decent amount of trash cans throughout. We went on a holiday and didn't have to pay for parking so not sure how that works.

We loved visiting this park. We went mid week, so it wasn’t too busy, but there were a few people around. There are quite a few trail options to explore, but you could explore them all in an afternoon. We took the woods trail to maximize the shady walking time. The trail was lovely, with giant trees and even some wild blackberry bushes in the underbrush. It took about 5-10 minutes to reach the trail overlooking the bay, but there were nice sea breezes the entire time. Up near the bay, there is a playground and picnic area which would be great for kids. Overall a very nice area and I’d love to return.

Point Pinole Regional Shoreline is a great place to paint outdoors with beautiful views. I also take my dogs there to run and swim. It’s a great place for a picnic, with restrooms and water.

Shoreline and view was good. Took the bay view trail and sat in a shaded spot. We didn't play in water cos there was some marsh but some people maybe did towards the next half of the shoreline. Good spot to relax and catch shoreline views.

It's such a beautiful area. The views are breathtaking. They maintain the area well. The bathrooms are clean and so far everyone I've had any interactions with have been nice. Dogs are allowed off leash in certain areas as long as they are under voice control. I would definitely recommend visiting the area if your a nature lover.

Great Mixed use park. Paths for bikes only, dirt paths for dogs. Big long concrete marina to fish from. Not the most convenient to get to, but a fresh perspective on the before Crocket and Port Costa

Fabulous park hidden behind the city. Plenty of space for walking, jogging and biking. Plenty of spaces with tables so can have a barbecue or picnic, setup a volleyball or badminton net, and go fishing out on the pier located in the back. A great park that even allows horseback riding. I'm not sure of the schedule, but they have small shuttles that carry people to the pier and back. It's close to a mile and a half from the gate to the pier. There's paved main trails, and hiking trails throughout the park, with an amazing hillside trail overlooking the water.

I really like walking here. It's dog friendly, family friendly, paths are fairly straight with lots of trees and right by the cool ocean. You can have a picnic somewhere, go for a run or just come here for a nice long walk. The trails generally isn't too busy and fairly quiet. There's so many trails to chose for also, so you can pick your poison. This is my go to for a run with my dog or just a mental disconnect for myself. Dogs needs to be on leash for paved paths as you'll see regional park rangers patrolling. Great place.

One of the best parks in East Bay for a flat 5k walk or run. Lovely trees and Bay views. Great sunsets. Usually free weekdays but small fee on weekends. Check the hours as the gate does close.

Exceptional views. Flat trails. The actual landscapes is a bit blah but there are lots of facilities: picnic tables, bathrooms, and the like.

Perfect place to escape all the city noise! Easily walked around for an hour and didn’t even see a quarter of the preserve. This will be a regular spot when I visit family in the area.

Everyone here talks about dogs take in a walk but..fishing and meditation in a quiet site is a plus... Saturday it closes early while most people park outside the locked gate and walk in safely..is an awesome site

Great rainy hike with the pups. Part paved path and part rocky trail. Had a great time getting out in the sprinkle.

Tons of eucalyptus trees in every direction. Smells fantastic! Decent foraging of a variety of fungi. I occasionally find Amanita Muscaria along the grove margins, which is quite the big deal as they aren’t too common in this area, mostly due to the overall lack of trees and forests in the urbanized Bay Area.
