What happend to Jen's Chinese Food?? This used to be the best of the best Chinese Food! Unfortunately I have to leave this review because I have continuously tried to support them while hoping they would return back to their normal Chinese cuisine. This place went downhill. Nothing here is good anymore. Why is it even hard to ask for decent chicken & broccoli with pork fried rice? If the manager is reading this, PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS!

Girl on the phone had no clue what was going on. Half of my food was missing. The food I did get was absolutely terrible. And it costed wayyy too much for such low quality food. This place needs to either shut down or a serious do over.

Pre pandemic, we saw glowing reviews and gave it a try. It was good that time, but this time, we ordered again and it is horrible! The wings are heavily breaded almost like KFC but with no meat on it. The chicken lo mein does not taste like chicken at all, but some odd fishy/porky flavor and looks like tofu. The noodle is just stir fried with no sauce or anything and is bland. The sesame chicken came with two pints of fried rice which is the only saving grace. The chicken was good with the sauce on the side but the quantity was lacking for the price. The wonton soup that comes with it had a slight curry flavor and dissapointing. Never going back.

Very disappointed in my meal tonight. The egg rolls lacked flavor, sweet and sour chicken was over cooked, the chicken lomein was uncooked and chicken was just thrown on top and the hot and sour soup was too spicy to even eat. My family has ordered here multiple times and have never had issues. We will 100% never be ordering again.

Jens was always my favorite place to get Chinese. But over the past year or so, their prices have raised, their portions have lessened... one I understand but to do both is very disappointing. Not the way to treat your long time customers

The food was amazing!!! The service is very fast and polite. The soup is very flavorful. And everything was cooked perfectly. Everything is extremely clean and fresh! I will definitely be coming here again, and will make it my go to spot from now on.

The cost is about average for the area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food was ok. It's not the best Chinese food buy certainly not the worst. The egg rolls were great and had a nice blend of vegetables in them. The fried rice was ok and the sesame chicken had way too much sauce and breading. It's a cute little place that has clean tables to enjoy your food if you are shopping in the area or just want to have a quick lunch. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the main entrees. Otherwise it's not a bad place to get Chinese food.

The food is actually really good. The only reason I am giving it a 2 stars review is became the cashiers are not good. I have worked in the service industry before, McDonalds, Restaurants, even a Salon. Point being, I know how it feels to work in a service industry. Their were two young ladies in the front when I went. One started to trash talk a customer who had recently called in to place an order. Why would you start trash talking a customer in the front of the restaurant? Then when they served my food they just threw the back to me. I found that so disrespectful. They need to be told that is not ok and have some respect. If they aren't corrected this place will start getting more bad reviews. Not because the food isn't good, or because the place isn't clean or because the owners are bad. But because the Cashiers are giving this local food place a bad name.

Been going here since Jen moved from farmingdale and things have changed. Ordered shrimp lo mein no vegetables problem I have is that someone forgot to put the shrimp in lo mein. Also had an odd taste to it. Time to shop my side of town for now on

Ridiculous! I live in one Wantagh Woods just a few blocks from Jen’s. I have been a regular customer for three years (since moving to the neighborhood) and was treated so rudely by their staff. I placed a order for my family and was told it would be delivered in 30 to 40 minutes. Close to an hour and a half later, I called and they said they are busy and I could come pick it up myself. I told him my children were sleeping and I could not leave the home and they replied “so you cancel the order”. This was after numerous calls and being told “the driver will be there soon”. I understand that they may be very busy and/or short staffed; either way a better solution would’ve been an apology and extending the order at no charge (or at least a partial refund). I hope Jen’s ownership reads this review and makes serious changes on how they handle their mishaps. When these circumstances come up you need to do better and handle your best customers with respect. You lost our business and our other family members.

RIP Jens… this is not the same place. The meal didn’t taste fresh and appeared to be straight out of the bag frozen food. Made sense when a friend told me they were now run by the restaurant MOGU. I feel like I was duped! Never going back here again when there are so many real family owned Chinese restaurant to choose from on the Island.

Quick fast and good food. Clean location. Was recommended to this restaurant by neighbors and it's been nothing other than positive experiences. Even on dinner or holidays they are pretty much on the money. Nice sizable portions as well.

There was meat in my vegetable fried rice?!!!! I’ve been a strict vegetarian for over 8 years. This is disgustingly unacceptable. I’m now feeling extremely sick and uncomfortable.

The absolute worst Chinese food ! Had a very large order, everything was horrible! Absolutely spoiled, old food! Plus had msg in it, as I’m allergic and got sick from it! Avoid this takeout!

I have to say this was the worst food I've had in years. The egg roll was dried out and reheated in a pan it was burnt and absolutely horrible tasting. The fried rice was orange??? Completely tasteless the general Tso's chicken was hard has a rock and un edible. I used to eat there many years ago but never again

Terrible. Egg roll was overdone, not crispy, and bland. hot and sour soup smelled so bad I just threw it out. vegetable lo mein smelled fishy and tasted weird.

Food is atrocious. Per management, Shrimp and Broccoli combo gets you a small size meal and an eggroll. A small size is 4 baby shrimp (in a 1/2" pool of sauce). The eggroll is priced at $2.50 and it tastes like either frozen or straight up cabbage. Been here a few times to give them another shot, but not again. This was the last time I will spend my money here.

I love Jen’s so much. Jens has some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The service is 10/10 recommend everyone to go here

I ordered fried rice with brocolli and scallions, no onions. They gave me a bowl of onions with a little rice? Egg roll was so rubbery I couldn’t bite it.

fast ,friendly service ,been going here for years during the time I worked near by and I've never been disappointed always fresh and tasty, a big fan of the general chicken an lo mein ,price is par for the course for most Chinese food restaurants but Jen's is by far the best in that Seaford ,massapequa area

The fried rice was undercooked, tasteless and had a silly saffron color that had nothing to do with Cantonese cooking. The rest of my food was awful. I ordered sesame chicken and it is supposed to come with broccoli. It had 1/2 of a tiny floret and it was burnt to a crisp. We seem to be paying more and getting less ...

Been a while since I have been in this place since I don't work over there anymore but I love the food there it's clean and inviting Jen is a nice person very friendly understanding caring helpful food is very good large portions that I have food for a few days always hot and made the way you ask for it I don't know if this place would deliver to me were I live now being the distance I still love this place and the people and the food now I just called with in the last two weeks and I was treated very rude and I also was hung up on the phone I was told that I was speaking to a manager and I was hung up on by him for asking for information and I called back and I was lied to by another person who said that the manager was not there and my call back was was under a minute Jen would have not ever done that to me or anyone else that is why she has a great business she was so very caring about her customers she was warm and friendly understanding great listening to her customers concerns conference and suggestions I was told she has other businesses the towns there's a Chinese restaurant and I asked for information and they refuse to give it to me years ago I bought Chinese food from her restaurant and I dropped very hot soup on my lap that was delivered to me and I had second and third degree burns on my lap and she was so loving and caring and understanding about it that she treated me like a princess for that point on I only stopped going there because I stopped working and I moved to far away from the restaurant now I would never ever go back there because of the way I was talked to and treated on the phone I have told all the people I know what happened to me in my last phone call to this place and all my friends standing by me to never ever go back there again

Great place to visit and eat great food

Food is alright not the same as your typical Chinese place. This is air fried and portions are small. Prices vary depending on what you order. Most likely can get expensive for even a one person meal. The portion of food you get to the price value you’d receive isn’t worth it.

The wait says it all, good food is always worth the wait and Jen’s always has a wait. I can’t say a bad word about anything the place is spotless and the food is always 100% on point, staff is friendly and attentive.

My friends and I thought our food tasted kinda funny, I didn’t even get any meat!! Food poisoning by the next morning:( still recovering

amazing customer service, best chinese food place i’ve been too, fast service , delicious food, definitely recommend, worth your time. words cannot describe how amazing this place was.
