The perfect way to see downtown! Because I have kids, I chose to take a tour instead of trying to find all of the great places to explore on my own. Awad had our belly's full and my kids entertained during the whole tour! While Amman streets are VERY busy with cars and people and traffic, we are still glad we got to see the bustling downtown of Amman before exploring the rest of Jordan

We had a fantastic food tour in Amman. We were able to see so much of the city and learn a lot of history by walking around and tasting all the things! We had so much food, but there was enough walking in between that I didn’t feel awful by the end, but definitely full. The food we tried was amazing. There wasn’t anything I didn’t love. It was so fun being able to talk to locals and learn about their connection to food. Our guide was fabulous and knew so much about the city and the food. Everything was very professional and well done. Worth every JD we spent to get an experience like this.

As a chef and food writer deeply immersed in the culinary world, our inclination for food tours during our travels is both a passion and a quest for undiscovered flavors. Beyond just savoring the delectable offerings, these tours hold the power to weave us into the very fabric of a culture and its heritage. Our recent experience with Ammaan Food Tours, led by the exceptional Jumana, surpassed all expectations in this regard. Jumana artfully guided us through a labyrinth of flavors, intertwining each taste with captivating stories that left us with much more than satiated appetites. The tour, meticulously curated, provided an all-encompassing journey through the essence of Amman's cuisine. From the renowned falafel dish to the iconic Mansaf lamb specialty, and not to be missed, the indulgent Kunafe dessert, every culinary gem was thoughtfully selected. What truly sets this tour apart is Jumana's knack for leading us to owner-run establishments, hidden gems that would have eluded our radar otherwise. Her deep-rooted knowledge of the culinary landscape and her ability to create a seamless connection between the dishes and the stories behind them elevated our experience to unprecedented heights. If you find yourself in Amman and the idea of embarking on this tour flickers across your mind, let me assure you, hesitation should find no foothold. Without a shadow of doubt, this culinary journey is an investment in both gastronomic delight and cultural enrichment. Thanks Jumana . Much love R & G

Give 4.5 for tour once we adjusted to venue. Jumana, our tour guide, made the tour enjoyable & fun for us. Good was authentic & truly immersed in Jordan local culture. We had expectations of going into 10 restaurants vs street booths/cafes due to pictures on web. Once we adjusted to experience, we had a unforgettable experience. For future travelers, you walk through narrow streets & passages so wear comfortable shoes & casual attire as go thru local neighborhood markets. Also know that email response may take 24hrs + & # on website is not working which makes communication just before tour a challenge. Once u know this, the tour is something we will remember always. Getting to know Jumana was amazing—a friend always.

We had the best time with Jumana exploring the culinary scene of Amman! She covered a lot of places & food in the 3 hours from legendary outlets to a walk through a market. Absolutely worth it to get a true sense of the city, its people and their amazing food. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Amman!

The food tour was wonderful and Jumana was truly amazing. There were many stops and different food options and we learned so much about the local food heritage and culture. Jumana was friendly, funny, and clearly loves sharing her knowledge of Amman, Jordanian history, travel, art, and food. I highly recommend this tour and Jumana!

I got into Amman and this was my first thing to do. I had a great time with Jumana, the tour guide who took me the best examples of each food available in the Rainbow St area. She explained the food and the Jordanian culture. A great intro to the food and culture.

We had an amazing time together with our guide Jumana. The food was fantastic throughout the whole tour, but equally important for us was the historical and cultural context given by our guide😊 A great way to start you adventures in Jordan! PS! Make sure you arrive on an empty stomach. You will get enough food 😅

This tour was fabulous. Jumana my guide was very knowledgeable about Amman’s history and everything we saw. The food stops, markets and shops along the way were very varied and highlighted all the traditional foods and history of Jordan. I had a fabulous time and would highly recommend it. (Even in the pouring rain) 😊

We had a wonderful evening in Amman, thanks to Jumana. She is amazing! He told us so much about the history, food and lifestyle of the locals. We tried amazing foods. The za'atar buns, the falafels - I didn't even know they could be green, the delicious kafta with tahini sauce, the big tasty breads, the traditional mansaf - there was no better place to try it! And the desserts - mmm... künefe and the superb ice cream! Jumana created special memories for us that we will never forget!

My wife and I had an excellent experience on the food tour. Our guide, Jumana was excellent, and she gave us the opportunity to try a wide range of local food and drinks, which were all delicious! We especially loved going through the market, trying all the fresh and preserved produce. Jumana also told us more about the history of the food, as well as the area and local customs. She even helped us find some activities for the next day as well, and was always really helpful with any questions. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in food, knowing more about Jordanian tradition, and getting to know Amman more. Thank you Jumana!

My family had a wonderful half day food and historic site tour with Jumana last week. She is a fantastic guide and a lovely person. We learned so much -and ate so much! I particularly enjoyed the food market - so vibrant. This was our first time in Jordan and despite the problems in the region they are not affecting Jordan. It felt very normal.

Beyond the fact that the tour worth the money for the cultural aspect and the food, I want to emphasize on the experience, because Jumana the tour guide made it fantastic. This 100% Jordanian woman is bubbly, dynamic and smiling. She loves food and is passionate about her country so much. Her comments are relevant and she made me laugh so much. Moreover and the most important for me, she is authentic. I really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it. You can book with no doubt that you are going to spend a nice moment ! Manuel and Marie

We booked this tour for our first evening in Amman. It did exactly what we were hoping for - introduced us to Jordanian food and gave us plenty of ideas of what and where to eat for our remaining time in the city. Jumana, our guide, was the best! Not only did she explain all the dishes we were trying, she also gave us lots of extra information about Amman. We tried many different foods including manaqish (a flatbread topped with a zaatar spice blend of sumac, thyme, roasted sesame seeds, and lemon salt mixed to a paste with olive oil), dried figs, dates, nuts, confectionery, falafel, lemon and mint juice, ara’yes, and mansaf, the national dish of Jordan. This is not a complete list - make sure you start the tour hungry! You will be offered LOTS of food!
