Disappointing
Experience
at
Sheraton
Amman:
Subpar
Service
and
Unappetizing
Food
I
recently
had
the
opportunity
to
stay
at
the
Sheraton
in
Amman,
Jordan,
and
unfortunately,
my
experience
fell
far
short
of
my
expectations.
As
a
loyal
Bonvoy
member
and
someone
who
has
frequented
various
luxury
hotels,
I
was
genuinely
shocked
by
the
lackluster
service,
inedible
food,
and
numerous
other
disappointments
encountered
during
my
stay.
Let's
start
with
room
service,
which
turned
out
to
be
a
series
of
frustrating
and
unsatisfactory
encounters.
My
first
order,
a
simple
ice
bucket,
took
an
astonishing
45
minutes
to
arrive,
despite
being
promised
a
mere
5-minute
wait.
Such
a
delay
for
a
basic
request
was
highly
inconvenient
and
set
the
tone
for
the
rest
of
my
experiences.
During
my
second
room
service
order,
which
included
pasta
and
a
sandwich,
the
wait
time
stretched
to
a
staggering
75
minutes.
To
exacerbate
the
issue,
despite
making
five
follow-up
calls,
I
received
no
response
or
apology
for
the
excessive
delay.
The
final
delivery
was
disheartening,
to
say
the
least.
The
pasta
was
not
even
warm,
let
alone
hot,
and
was
dry,
clumpy,
and
practically
inedible.
Equally
disappointing
was
the
sandwich,
which
was
incredibly
dry
and
overcooked,
leaving
me
utterly
unsatisfied.
Adding
insult
to
injury,
the
amenities
within
the
room
further
contributed
to
the
overall
subpar
experience.
The
minibar
was
empty,
depriving
guests
of
the
convenience
and
comfort
typically
expected
from
a
hotel
of
this
caliber.
Moreover,
instead
of
a
proper
coffee
machine,
the
room
provided
Nescafé
instant
coffee
sachets.
This
choice
of
coffee,
especially
for
a
Bonvoy
member,
was
a
letdown
and
did
not
align
with
the
standard
of
a
five-star
hotel.
One
of
the
most
bewildering
aspects
of
my
stay
was
the
consistent
misidentification
by
the
staff.
Despite
being
a
loyal
Bonvoy
member,
they
continuously
referred
to
me
by
the
wrong
name,
demonstrating
a
lack
of
attention
to
detail
and
a
failure
to
provide
personalized
service.
It
is
disheartening
to
realize
that
their
system
cannot
accommodate
the
correct
first
name
of
a
valued
member.
Overall,
the
Sheraton
in
Amman,
Jordan,
failed
to
meet
the
high
standards
expected
from
a
reputable
hotel
chain.
The
prolonged
waiting
times,
unappetizing
food,
lack
of
essential
room
amenities,
and
the
persistent
misnaming
of
guests
were
all
severe
drawbacks
that
tarnished
my
experience.
Considering
my
previous
encounters
with
Sheraton
and
other
luxury
hotels,
I
am
left
questioning
how
this
particular
establishment
can
claim
to
be
part
of
the
Sheraton
brand.
I
sincerely
hope
that
the
management
takes
these
issues
seriously
and
makes
the
necessary
improvements
to
avoid
further
disappointing
guests
in
the
future.
It
is
my
sincere
hope
that
this
review
serves
as
constructive
feedback
and
encourages
the
necessary
changes
to
bring
the
Sheraton
Amman
back
to
the
standard
of
excellence
that
guests
expect
and
deserve.
