The remnants of a great Empire. Very happy to see it getting refurbished and reoperated within Jordan.

The museum is not open yet, but you can walk around the train yard and see the old engines and rail cars. I understand that the Turkish embassy is helping fund the construction of what will be one of the finest train museums in the Middle East here; it should be finished 2022. The staff here are very friendly, but it seems they are not used to visitors at this time. I was told they offer to groups by request train rides out to the airport.

Very nice and interesting. With more English information would be much better. We had our own guide, very nice but he didn't speak much English and there were lots of questions we wanted to make. The ticket is 1 JD.

Great piece of history. Didn’t charge anything for walking around and taking a few pictures for a few minutes.

I went there slightly after hours to check the site. They wanted 10 Dinar from me to walk around. A guide walked me around a bit, I tried my best to translate via Google but didn't get much. But the more I wanted the see, the more cash was demanded. Because I didn't pay more entry to the working locomotive garage was refused. I think the whole experience lasted 15 minutes. Not worth it.

It's a beautiful old building a pity that instead of recovering all the old train station buildings and trains, there is a new modern building being done that has nothing to do with the original.

I really enjoyed spending a couple of hours here talking to the station manager Abu Alaa. His passion and love of trains and the railway was apparent and he was such a joy to exchange stories with. He was gracious and took me around to see the train carriages, the museum, and even the engines and the turnstile and all the cool things here. It was so cool to geek out here. If you love history and want to know about Amman and its start this is an important piece of the story. Without the station or the railway Amman wouldn't have grown so quickly to become the capital of Transjordan and then later The Kingdom.

Located on the east side of Amman. A historic place shows the old turkish railway. The train works only in the public occasions, most probably on the 1st of may for a trip to Al jizah (5jds ticket per person) A new turkish museum is under construction and a small gallery is already at one of its rooms, shows the terminals location for the train.

Amazing historic place. Nostalgic and Sad. The railway system between Arab nations must be operational again. Unfortunately the dominant dictatorship of “the west” thinks otherwise.
