Definitely worth a visit. The lady working there was very helpful and kind. You even get a flyer (arabic and english) that gives you detailed information about the history of the place. Entrance is for free.

Visit for free! Access via a set of narrow staircase, right next to Habibah Sweets. Really easy to miss so ask the shop owners for directions if you get lost! Nicely preserved shophouse which also functions as a coffee shop. No toilets.

A great old house in downtown amman that is a must visit for all. This is almost like a small museum with a lot of history and old decorative items..and old furniture. The staff can also offer coffee and tea if you want..so you can spend some quality time sitting there. It has 3 rooms so not a big space but really is amazing.

Historical and cute spot in old downtown Amman. A must visit if you’re in downtown. It’s free to enter and it’s very small, so shouldn’t take much time. The duke is sometimes at the home, say hi!

Going there is like going back in a time machine to the old life of our grandfathers.. the place shows us the beauty of architechture... it gives us hints about the style of life in that era.. you must see it at least once to feel the amazing simplicity

This Is the oldest residence in downtown, built in 1924. It's nice to see and get to know the old architectural heritage of old Amman. Everything is left where it is .

If you are in the area then it's worth popping in. The three rooms have an old world charm. You'll be asked if you want to buy a tea or coffee which, as admission is free, is hard to refuse. Good views of the busy street outside from the balcony.

It’s a nice place filled with history. Something nice made out of something that is ordinary. I loved the vintage look, smell and colors. The person responsible for the place is very nice and kind. She was also very helpful and nice. I loved the idea that this simple old building was made to this historic location.

Amman's oldest home has become a time capsule with its doors permanently open to artists and guests. Built in 1924 by Abdul Rahman Madi in downtown amman that is a must visit. A small museum with a lot of history and old antique items. They will offer you tea or coffee and you can take photos.

Built in 1924 by Abdul Rahman Madi, the space at 12 King Faisal Street serves as one of the finest reminders available of the architectural heritage of Old Amman. The building served as the Central Post Office for the Emirate Trans-Jordanian government until the late 1940’s. For a brief period it was home to an annex of the Ministry of Finance, but for 50 years, starting in 1948, the five airy rooms at 12 King Faisal Street were known as the Haifa Hotel. It was bought by Mamdouh Bisharat, the Duke of Mukheiheh. The house retains the original doors and windows from the early 1900s, and the furniture remains untouched.
