Found
this
place
on
Google
after
searching
for
vegan
friendly
places
in
Amman,
and
boy
was
I
in
for
a
surprise.
Upon
entering,
you
feel
like
you’re
sitting
in
someone’s
courtyard,
and
the
restaurant
is
decorated
with
antiques
and
memorabilia
that
belonged
to
the
grandma
after
which
the
restaurant
is
named.
The
women
who
work
there
are
so
warm
and
welcoming,
and
went
out
of
their
way
to
make
us
feel
like
we
have
just
gone
up
to
our
village
and
sat
to
dine
with
family.
There’s
no
menu
for
you
to
choose
from,
but
instead
they
will
serve
you
whatever
that
have
cooked
/
prepared
for
that
day.
Just
let
them
know
in
advance
if
you
have
any
dietary
requirements
so
they
can
consider
that
when
preparing
the
plates
for
your
table.
I
visited
with
my
brother,
and
the
appetizer
messes
that
were
served
were
delicious,
cooked
with
love,
and
the
ingredients
are
of
the
finest
quality.
The
food
is
simple,
but
great
when
it
comes
to
taste,
the
tomatoes
are
just
ripe,
the
courgette
was
sweet
and
light,
the
sumac
was
freshly
ground,
and
the
hummus
just
came
straight
from
heaven.
The
main
course
was
then
Loobieh
(Green
Beans)
cooked
in
a
meat
stew
with
rice
served
on
the
side,
and
then
we
finished
off
everything
with
cake
and
tea.
I
can’t
recommend
this
place
enough,
it
made
me
feel
like
I
was
home
when
I
was
visiting
a
different
country.
It’s
a
must
do
for
anyones
culinary
adventures
/
agenda
in
Amman.
