This place is widely known among upper middle class people here in Jordan. It is super pretentious, the owner is also super pretentious and very unwelcoming. I seriously don't know how she made it and opened two shops and she doesn't know basics of baking and decorating. I ordered a cake from their shop and they claimed that they do cake design. This was the ugly result! This should have been a proper 3d winner's ribbon with marzipan squares with logos on it, this was the final ugly results and guess what...they printed the logos on pieces of paper and glued them on the marzipan paste. I mean seriously who does that... !!! Imagine having your guests arriving in an hour and you are struck with this result when you arrive at home. Imagine kids trying to eat these squares, they would have eaten paper, is that FDA approved? These are ABC's of cake design.. everything that goes on the cake has to be edible. And guess who's fault this was..? It is the owner herself, she printed them and stuck them on the marzipan sugar squares. I had to peel their paper, crack the sugar dough, call them shouting and disappointed!! The guy who works there was nice, tried to solve the problem and asked the chef to print the logos on edible marzipan sugar dough and deliver them to me. Seriously if you can do this in the first place, why would you choose to print on stupid paper? This place is horrible and they wanted to take the easy way out to finish this cake but I am sorry it turned out to be awful. An advice from a customer who watches cake decorating shows up close and gives reviews about desserts, I advise you to close down and stay out of business.You failed me Chez Hilda. I ordered a cake for my son 1st birthday party and requested a specific design, they said they will make a good cake very similar to what I requested but they changed alot in the design and the cake flavor was plain and with marzipan not fondant as we asked for, and finally on top of all of it, part of the cake design was damaged, and when they requested my feedback they didn't even bother to reply or apologizes, seems they don't care about any negative feedback, it's really sad for such a great cake shop to become careless about customers complains.

One of Amman’s oldest cafes, very prestigious, wide variety of desserts. We ordered Turkish coffee “sadeh”, it was yummy, great place for families and couples!

If you don’t smoke and you come here , prepare to die. The place is 10 by 10 and you can’t sit here for more than 5 minutes. No windows and filters and you feel like you just smoked 5 packs of cigarette in less than 3 minutes. I am here with my kids for ice cream and we can’t finish.

I remember when Chez Hilda opened. They had the most delicious chocolate mousse cake one could ever imagine existed. I have never had one like it since we moved away from Jordan, but I can still remember it if I close my eyes. And by the looks of it, they still sell it. Forever in my heart. Shukran

We ordered a birthday cake with a birthday msg, the cake arrived without the msg that we ordered a day before. When we contacted the shop, someone called Noor was rude on the phone and hang up. This is not the first time they do such act. We have been ordering from this shop since 20 years and it’s disappointing to have a service like this. Won’t be ordering again.

It was a huge disappointment, at forst we went for breakfast but the atmosphere was not welcoming, ended up asking for a piece of cake and cup of tea/coffee, I ended up with stale cake and cold tea, the service was slow as there was only one waiter .

It is so sad the most famous cake shop in Jordan is not practicing any kind of hygiene. We ordered a cake and found a very long hair inside the cake. I tried to contact them but no one answered.

We bought ice cream cake and we requested to be full sorbet ice cream. Once we collect it we noticed that is was normal ice cream cake and the restaurant didn't offer us compensation 😕.

First of all the the bread is old, dry and doughy, second it is cold and the cheese is really cold, the tomatoes are old and mushy and it is definitely not worth 5 JDs.

Very bad attitude of employees. Customer service is not existent. They care only about money.

On a desperate last minute need to buy pastries, i tried their online order website. Ordered savoury pastries and liked the size & moisture. Its not chewy or too much dough. Well balanced. Ejoyed the pizza as well as cheese Spinach can have an added punch of soury taste, or salt or summaq. Hot dogs are inpropprtionate, no added value or taste, similar size of hot dog. Will order again Enjoyed their remote online purchasing, sms confirmation and prompt delivery.

A very cute cafe. My cappuccino was perfect, and my carrot cake was very tasty. The people were also very pleasant and helpful. Cappuccino and a cake = £9.35
