I have stayed at this location in the past and recently it has drastically approved. I was there last week and I noticed the staff was very diligent about cleaning, making repairs, and overall making general improvements, such as painting and up keeping of the grounds. The staff at the front desk was very professional, kind, fast and efficient! The breakfast was delightful and the overall experience was pleasurable. The price was very affordable for such a nice area such as the Central West End in Saint Louis. Would recommend!

We spend 2 nights in the hostel , and I have to say that was my most satisfied experience staying at a tourist area hotel, Mohamed the host of the place is so nice and friendly, satisfied us any request we asked instantly. Cabin are very clean, well maintained and the lounge is fantastic, overall, the hardest part is you almost impossible to pick up something to complain. Well done and if we come back to Petra again, we will definitely choose this hostel for sure.

After arriving at the hostel we were asked by the owner who is lying on a couch if he could help us. I told him we have a reservation for three nights and he tells us check in is at 3pm. We wait 4 hours until 3pm, he has remained on the couch for more than 3 of those hours. At 3pm the owner goes and sits at the reception. I get my passport and go wait by the desk as he is reading some papers on the desk. This is our conversation: "What are you doing? Why aren't you talking to me? 😠" - Owner "I was waiting for you to finish with the papers... 😐" - Me "... Why are you talking out of your nose at me? 😠" - Owner "I don't know what you mean... 🤨" - Me "... you know... I don't think you like Arab people... 😠" - Owner "I don't know why you would think that... 🤨" - Me Other than the rude accusations and projections, the hostel is falsely advertised on Hostelworld. We booked a "private double" to be shown a double bed in a 20 bed capsule dorm. A few days later the owner was in a shouting match with a guest that had taken a shower while they waited for their 3pm check-in. Overall an average Hostel, terrible owner, and unusable WiFi.

Very kind guys were managing it in January 2020, still remembering when filtering out photos, in that time, they just started. Nice kitchen free of use. For a money and if you don't need 100% private places, I remember, there was no other place. cons: no elevator, only stairs were there in that time. Pros: close to Petra center, washing machine and stand dryers available. Nice view !

This is the first time I sleep in this place. I loved the queen size bed room. I thought it wouldn't be spacious enough, but I was super wrong. It is very spacious. I could stretch easily after a long hike in Petra. The mattress is very comfortable, and the sheets are clean. Bathroom is super clean which is the most important thing to be honest. Kind people working there. Very good breakfast. I highly recommend it for travelers visiting Petra. Not to mention it's 5 mins walk from the visitors center!! It's a deal breaker to be honest especially after a long hike in Petra. Great job to everything working here.

This place is newly renovated (I am told) with some areas not completed. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were top notch. They are/were serving breakfast out of a room on the ground floor and so it was a little lacking. This will be our go-to place for future visits.

During my first trip to this magnificent country of Jordan, I stayed at the Petra cabin. Do not hesitate to come to this hostel where the staff is attentive and always smiling. The cabin is very comfortable and nicely decorated. Its location is ideal for quickly going to the Petra visitor center. To finish, the breakfast is complete, varied and offers the possibility of discovering some specialties. THANKS

This was a lovely little boutique hostel , clean, staff were friendly, food was good and the proximity to the entry gates at Petra was excellent . We were able to walk back after our guided tour and spending the day on site. Mohammad the hostel manager oversaw that we had everything that we needed and was a pleasure to speak with every time we entered the hotel for dining. The food was buffet style, good always hot and tasty (we really enjoyed the lamb ball There is a little store just outside the door where you can pick up water and any small things you might be missing . I would highly recommend a stay at this hostel

We had a lovely two night stay in the Petra cabin hostel The rooms were clean and comfortable, with complimentary tea and coffee, The bathroom was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was lovely and well worth the 5 JOD per person. All of the staff were very friendly, and we will happily..!

Safety, comfort, accessibility, level of service and value for money are some of the areas I rate when choosing for a place to stay away from home. Petra Cabin Hostel not only checks all the boxes of these items but rates extraordinarily well in all of them as far as I'm concerned. Petra Cabin Hostel has certainly helped make my Petra experience even more memorable.

The best option in Petra if you travel on a budget and you don’t want to walk much or take a taxi every time to move around. It is just 7min walking from Petra Visitor Center, this is great when you want to make the most of the day and start visiting at 6am to enjoy the site without crowds and the heat. They offer breakfast and dinner at extra cost (5 and 7 JD) but there are many restaurants and little supermarkets within 5-10 min walk as well. The staff was friendly and at our disposal for any request , the room are basic but comfortable, with AC, perfectly clean bathrooms and showers , small lockers to store your valuables. How to get here : JETT bus at 6.30am from Amman or private transport To go to Wadi Rum there is a bus every day at 6am for 10JD departing right down the hotel.

little home away from home in Petra! Thank you to the kind and welcoming staff for making our stay so comfortable and easy :) Breakfast was really excellent quality (go for the classic middle eastern spread items!) and again, all staff were so kind and warm - also very helpful for planning your Petra visit! Make sure to ask them for local restaurant recommendations as well :) Thank you!

I've seen very few hostels which provide their level of privacy. You have your own coups with locks, and lockers inside them. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are chargeable, but way cheaper than what you'd pay in town. The only problems are, you have to climb up 4 flights of stairs to enter the hostel since there's no elevator, and there are very few charging points in the common space.

The hostel is very nice and clean. The stuff are helpful, and their suggestions enable me to explore the majority of Petra within two days. The breakfast and dinner are totally worthy the money! Their chef would prepare different traditional Jordian food, like the “upset down” and other stuff I cannot really name it. Enjoyed my stay, and recommend it to everyone who’s coming to Petra!

We stayed here for our visit to Petra. Everything was wonderful. The cabin were spacious and had all amenities. The food was good and had variety. All staff from the lobby to the restaurant and the bar were very kind and accommodating. The best part was the sunset in the 4th floor bar. The hotel 5 minutes to petra gate s

Amazing 😍😍😍😍 I have not yet finished my stay at the hostel and I am already sharing my experience. How can I describe the service of the staff! It's great! It's really really indescriptible. The family hostel are adorable, helpful, smiling, caring, on your service always... I can't find the words to thank them for their kindness. The hostel is right next to the entrance of Petra and next to the tourist street where there are restaurants, hotels, ATM...The hostel offers different menus at affordable prices. You can also buy snacks at cheaper prices than the supermarkets. Water and orange juice are free. The cabins are very comfortable and the view is just beautiful with the sunset. The cleanliness is without doubt impeccable. I also want to share with you something: I had a bad experience with the driver who took me from the dead sea to Petra. When I told the hostel manager what happened, he contacted the tourist police who came at the hostel so fast and took all the necessary measures.... Basically, if you are passing through Petra don't hesitate to spend your stay here, you will never never regret it. If I could put one more then 5!! Petra cabin hostel made my stay so amazing ❤

Perfect location, minutes walk from the petra entrance. Nice employees with clear rules, door closes at 12, no showers after 11. Clean and private cabins. Breakfast and dinner available, with reduced prices for arab guests. They turn heating on in the evening, which before sleeping can be bit hot inside the cabin. One down point is that door was at 4th floor, stairs only.

Position is great, close to Petra main entrance. Just a few minutes of walking. Services and beds are basic. Mattress directly on the floor, shared toilets. overall it was clean. Good enough to stay if you're on a budget. It's possible to have buffet dinner (7 JOD), breakfast (5 JOD) and lunch pack (3 JOD).

Lovely! Amazing views and good staff and nice food can get breakfast and dinner here too! Beds are good because you get privacy - ask for an extra blanket if there in cold season 👍✌️it’s very close to Petra entrance (2 min walk) The man is honest when he shows you around, he says hot AND cold water available 24/7 - because the shower indeed does provide both scalding hot and freezing cold water interchangeably at an uncanny consistent rate. if you concentrate you can learn to jump out the stream just before it gets you with a scalding or freezing blast - never will you learn to appreciate the 4 seconds of nice shower temp water like you will here. If it’s a strategy to keep peoples showers short it’s kind of mean but also you have to admit pretty genius too! Still gets 5 stars because the bathrooms are clean and it’s probably the only place in wadi musa that doesn’t rip you off ! Can get dinner and breakfast too!

The stay in Petra Cabin hostel was just awesome! The rooms are super nice and clean. The food was also very good and affordable. But it is the staff that makes this place so special. Abu Karam was such a good host, helped out were he could with tips, recommendations and reservations of cars etc!

Comfortable stay # This place is really good for Backpackers, couple's and Solo Travelers. # The place is clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable and view is good. # Toilets are clean # Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are happy to help # The only draw back is there are way too many stairs to go up to the place and there's no lift.

We really enjoyed our stay at Petra Cabin Hostel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms comfortable and quiet spacious. The only downside was, that it got very hot inside the cabins during daytime when the folding door was closed, since the AC is in the hallway. The building also doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but the interior of the hostel was nice.

Really loved staying here. It is the perfect place to explore Petra. Because we waited for some people we stayed a whole week at the Hostel. We were never bored and treated like family by the amazing staff. Especially by Sharif who organized everything for us.

Petra Cabin hostel is true the best option to spend a night before exploration the Perta trails. It is perfect located, just 5 minutes walk from the main entrance. The hostel itself for this price is very comfortable, clean and the staff if super friendly and helpful. Totally recommend! "Enter as a guest, leave as a family" motto of this place is really maintained inside 😍

The cleanest hostel I have stayed at in a looong time - much better than the ones in Europe. Warm showers was a dream come true at the Petra Cabin Hostel after Wadi Rum camping. The Cabin beds are cute and comfortable. The toilets and showers spanking clean. The buffet dinner was absolutely worth it - maybe one of the most value for money in the small town of Petra.

A perfect choice to visit Petra on a budget. We spent 2 peaceful nights as a couple in panoramatic room. The staffs are exceptional. They help us arrange private driver to Wadi rum in reasonable price and they can arrange Wadi Rum tour for you too. Dinner and breakfast offered by hostel have lots of choices. You can buy water and snacks there at better prices than the markets around. Box rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Hostel is located 5 minutes walk from the Petra site. Do not hesitate to book with them.
