Worth trying, but beware of the "set menu" trap. Place is elegant, cozy and with magnificent views of downtown Amman and the Citadel if you are lucky to get the good tables or know someone to book for you. Plates were good, all with a twist (if you're into experimenting). Some were excellent and some just ok. We ordered a plate of all Salads, Bites and Appetizers (total 14 plates) for sharing since we were 4 couples and wanted to try all, then repeat order what we like. We were shocked with loads of food coming down on us, which we assumed was a nice move from the chef to split the order into several plates (big mistake on our side), but when the amount of food really didn't make sence, we asked what was going on and were told we are being served the "set menu" and it was too late to back out of. The killer is that no "set menu" option was listed on the menu, and no one told us the price of this so called "set menu" which is JD60++ (JD 76.56) per person without drinks and without any main courses!! We ended up with an outrageous bill higher than dining at the Ritz Carlton, or any top restaurant in Amman, with loaaaaads of wasted food, and the waiter's only explanation of what happened is that she was not trying to upsell, but thought this was the best choice for our group! On a side note, the cocktail menu could be more creative than naming all drinks Alee 1 to Alee 8.

Loved the place! The design is very cozy. The view is amazing! And let’s not forget the food… we tried many main courses, I personally loved the seabass. The desserts are great, my fav is honey and qashta. I highly recommend it for a date or a fine dinning outing with friends

This is by far the best restaurant I've tried in my life! The food is so good and done very creatively. It is simply like nothing you've ever tried. The view, the service, the ambience, everything is so good. I think anyone living in Jordan is lucky to be able to experience the delightful food without having to travel.

It was an utmost pleasure for my wife and I to visit Chef Ali Ghzawi’s recently opened resturant “Alee”! We were big fans of his watching him win season 3 of Top Chef Middle East and were excited to try his food. I’m glad to say that he didn’t disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, we fell in love with the cozy resturant vibes and the breathtaking views of old Amman meets new Amman. As for the food, Chef Ali took us on a unique journey through modern Middle Eastern gastronomy, a first in Amman. The presentations, the colors, the seasonings and the textures were top notch. From his award winning cauliflower with liquorish dish, the tender veal and baby chicken, to the chocolate with tahini and fresh mint dessert. I truly believe there’s a Michelin star chef in the making, and I’m proud to say that he’s from Jordan. Last but not least, I want to give a special thank you to the very hospitable staff who went above and beyond to fulfill our requests and explain each dish with the same passion as Chef Ali would have. To Nour, Mohamed and the rest of the team, you made our first, and certainly not last, visit a memorable one!

This place is definitely about EXPERIENCE and TASTING the food, not just eating. Location is great — the area is authentic, top floor with amaaazing view for downtown, Abdali towers and the Citadel at the same time. We are so impressed by the balance and the taste of the dishes — the salad, appetizers are just surprisingly tasty (spicy potato is must try!!!), the lamb was awesome. Staff is friendly and attentive, explain everything about the food. So glad place like this finally is in Amman! So far it’s so different from everything I’ve tried in Amman.

If you are into trying exceptional unique food & dining experience, this place is a must go to in Amman .. there is a very interesting story behind it. It is traditional Arabic food with a twist. The experience was better than expected, the service is genuinely bespoke & the variety in the menu allows catering for different tastes. Would definitely recommend & will go again whenever I am in Amman. Forgot to mention that the view over Amman is breathtaking.

Honestly was disappointed.. had very high expectations for the place, because we’ve heard so much about it.. food may be impressive for foreigners, but for a local, flavors and value for money was disappointing.. food came with very nice presentation, but flavors were just okay, and our steak was chewy Value for money was just not there

Very happy to finally try the place. Great quality food and presentation. The mains were great. A bit salty, despite asking for low salt due to medical condition. The place is beautiful but poorly ventilated, perhaps go there when the windows are open in the summer. Baby chicken and Lamb shanks were great. The staff are very professionally, attentive and smiling. Sarah in particular is remarkable.

This very well may have become my new favorite restaurant in Amman.... Went there with my better half and another couple and since it is Ramadan it was a set menu. The menu was excellent, the variety was complimentary and each plate supported the flavor profile of the whole meal. It was beautifully arranged and comprehensive. There is a picture of the menu and believe me we finished feeling very very satisfied and full. The hummus mushrooms were amazing especially with the green sauce under the hummus, the salad was a variation on fattoush yet tasted better than any I have had. The fermented peppers were a delight , the stuffed kibbeh had such a light casing and the meat flavor was just sublime, the cheese sambousak was full of cheese and not oily and tasted wonderful, then the stuffed kousa (zucchini) was perfect and it went on and on for all dishes. The mains lamb shank dish and chicken diah were very well cooked and the rice was sublime, I know it is just simple white rice, but the Spice mix on it made it a fusion between Gulf style rice and our Levant style rice... The dessert was divine, the cherry on top... Let me rephrase, this is my new favorite restaurant in Jordan and I can't wait to try it after Ramadan.. On the none gastronomic side, the service was super friendly and efficient, and we all know how hard it is to serve a seated set menu in Ramadan, yet it was handled meticulously and with all smiles.. 👍👍👍.. The setting and decorations and music were just right and the cherry on top was the view of the citadel and downtown.... Lovely lovely experience. I will evaluate it further after Ramadan...

We shared an amazing meal with friends while visiting Amman. Chef Ali and his attentive staff truly provided us with a memorable evening. Both in terms of his deliciously innovative menu and his staff’s genuine care. We hope Chef Ali will bring his talents to California someday soon to enjoy his food more frequently!

5 Star gourmet Arabic food with an artistic twist... original & new palettes, textures, colors that tingle your taste buds. Desserts were superb, quite the "Cherry on Top"....prices are on the higher end though, but the whole food experience, restaurant atmosphere & the extraordinary view with the great summer breeze was totally worth it...Chapeau "Top Chef" Alee, well done 👏 👏👏

A truly fine dining experience that stays true to our roots and honors the ingredients of our mixed culture, including the Armenian and Circassian. With every dish there was a comforting familiar taste complimented with creative and satisfying ingredients and textures. Every plate has a story that pays homage to our region and the cultures it hosts, as well as our childhoods. This is the local fine dining experience like never done before.

I had an interesting dining experience at this restaurant. The food was decent, with the vine leaves salad being the standout dish. Unfortunately, the recommended batata harra salad was disappointing. The kobe neye and lahme b 3ajen were enjoyable, and the passion fruit juice was delicious. However, the atmosphere was marred by extremely loud music that persisted even during the adhan, which I found disrespectful in an Arab country. Additionally, the lack of functioning air conditioners during a heat wave in Jordan was quite uncomfortable. Overall, while there were some highlights, the overall experience was hindered by these issues. Given the mixed experience and the various issues encountered, I regret to say that I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future.

We had such high expectations before going! we were a big group and they booked us a somewhat uncomfortable table for dining at the terrace. The service needed a lot of improvement, it felt like chaos and the waitress had an aggressive style explaining the dishes and taking the order, she insisted on keeping the order in her head and every time she repeated something was missing. The way we were served was very awkward and when the chef explained the dishes only people at the top of the table heard so we just ended up eating without understanding the concept. The food was really good, I only didn't like the labaneh (which I don't think we ordered) but everything else tasted delicious, but unfortunately the whole experience was below expectations.

The food was excellent although the portions were small, however chef Ali's special touch was present on every bite and bit. The view of Amman mountains and downtown was fantastic especially at night. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who truly appreciate the taste, atmosphere, and experience, rather than just stomach filling with...!

Prices reasonable Service 8/10 Food delicious 7/10 Vibes 10/10 Our starter were something out of this world From the perfect presentation to the deferential taste buds that work with each bite I never really loved Arabic food but this definitely changed my mind Although a bit weird to have a cocktail with a meat course after asking for a wine menu Everything was absolutely delicious except for the main course which was horrendous honestly

Perfectly balanced and beautifully presented food, good wine and cocktail list. Staff were excellent. Highly recommended. Great views of Amman from inside of a modern glass cube structure. Creative and modern. A must for anyone visiting Amman.

With an astonishing 360degree view Jebel Amman , the atmosphere is amazing, the food is tasty with artistic touches. The service was great and staff are professional and firsthand knowledge on the offering dishes. Definitely the value of money is worth. Must visit restaurant if you are in Amman. The highlight dish is Kebbeh Nayyeh for sure .

Honestly, I came with high expectations, Alee did not disappoint! I was there for Ramadan iftar, it was a pre-selected menu, which included lintel soup, various appetisers, and main dishes. The food was exquisite! I especially liked the fried zucchini which had a stuffing that tasted the same as stuffed vine leaves more or less. It was amazing! I overall, enjoyed my experience, and I highly recommend the restaurant for an intimate gathering.

One of a kind experience with delicious food to match. The staff is very helpful and explains every dish in detail. Can't think of one negative thing to say.

A truly wonderful experience. Chef alee’s twist on some classic dishes are such a culinary treat. The kubbeh nayeh is to die for. The sujuk was a delicious explosion of flavor, the salad with onion ash and tahini was my favorite. Staff were attentive and explained every process which I loved!

This place is great! I am in disagreement with a lot of then other commentaries that I have read - some of which nearly put me off from visiting it. The food is a modern take on some local classic: a welcome twist on what you will be eating while visiting the rest of the country. The service is impeccable, with chef and waiters taking the time to explain every dish and cutting it up and serving it for you. They have a good selection of reasonably priced wines. And to top it all the view is fantastic. It is a easily on a par with a one Michelin star European restaurant. We were a party of 4 and we paid 200 JOD with a bottle of wine and ordering 4 appetisers and 4 meat main courses. Portions are definitely not small and we left completely full!

Pro: - Service - Food decorations and look - They are trying to provide a Fine dining experience. Cons: - Tiny portion, u will leave hungry - Over priced - Avarage tasting, they focus on the look and experience. Would I go there again? No Do I regret it? No, it's a try once experience. Who's for? Romantic date. You don't go there to eat really. Alternative Places: Just go to the nearby wild Jordan, as good casual style services, better tasting food with decent portions Recommendations for the owners: Guys for what u are charging just increase your portion size.. I have been in fine restaurants before, you are serving a sampling bits not an actual dishes, the decore is not that fancy really.. and it's not even the best tasting. U can't compete with restaurants in sant reigus or Ritz, I would go there if I feel like paying 150$ per person, and I wouldn't leave hungry. Good luck

Visited it today..staff was very unfriendly, the waitress kept on interfering in our private conversations and was very aggressive.. appetizers were good and the presentation was nice but the portions were very small.. The main course was terrible Ordered ribeye ( medium) it came well done and cut already by the chef , had to put a lot of effort to cut it.. was burnt on the outside. This isn’t the experience that I was expecting to have in a supposedly fine dining restaurant.. Very overpriced and the view wasn’t even that special. Won’t repeat it , wouldn’t recommend it.

Amazing food and wonderful view. The staff is super friendly and professional. One of the best experiences we had in our lives. I wish there were no alcohol and better coffee with the dessert.

What can I say it was a phenomenal dining experience didn’t know what to expect after reading the menu. I was pleasantly surprised yummy cocktails and delicious arabic flavors with a contemporary modern twist.
