Always my go to place. I love this place a lot. Whenever I visit Trivandrum, I used to spend a day in varkala especially in the evening for the sunset. Its a beautiful place that everyone should visit once, if you are going in budget better avoid the cafe's and restaurants in the cliff particularly. They will abort your purse. But if you are ready to spend some money for the food and ambience and the live music you must visit the cafe's.

I would recommend using scooty or small cars up to this place as there is not much parking space near the cliff. One can park on the road side. On the north side of the cliff, lot of cafes, resorts and shops are there which one can explore at leisure. The beach is accessible from here. Great place to sit and watch sunset.

On one side is the sea and on the other side are shops, hotels and restaurants. It's a nice walk and you can also walk down to the beach using the steps. Beach is pretty and clean , but can't play due to high waves . Sunset view is mesmerizing. Can't miss it .may be one of the best sunset in Kerala . Easy accessibility make varakala an easy gate away for near by people. Restaurant are very costly but stay is somewhat cheap. A must visit place

A place very similar to goa. The cliff is spread across the shoreline. On one side you have this beautiful blue sea view and on the other side it's a colourful chaotic lane full of beautiful cafes and shops.

After Varkala beach , you can walk on beach shore for south.
