I think the highlights of this place are the well, the small grotto, and the rock tunnel. The trails are well maintained. The church and house were quite small so we finished those in 10 minutes. Overall, expect to spend an hour here. Bring good walking shoes because of the steep hills and terrain. We bought tickets the day of the visit (weekday morning) and the wait wasn't too bad. I would only stop by this place if you are already in the area visiting the Sena Palace and neighboring castle.

Lovely estate in the hills outside Sintra. Fascinating that it is more recently constructed than I assumed or than it looks (late 1800s). There are small out-buildings scattered about, giving interest to the complex of paths and scenic points. The Initiation Well was amazing but hard to enjoy due to the crowds. And it's not even high season yet! There's a very nice outdoor cafe there with good food, too!

This was a fantastic place to visit. We got here after we finished our visit to the Pena Palace. The line was short and we purchase our tickets at the ticket office. Be prepared to spend a good 2 hours here minimum as there is a lot to see. There's some beautiful houses that you can visit, a giant well, a cave that leads to some beautiful fountain, and kinds of beautiful plants for all you plant enthusiasts. If you're near the Town center this is a short walk but it is a bit uphill. I would recommend this as a must see if you're in the area.

Our favourite place in Sintra (we also went to the Moorish Castle and Pena palace). Easy to get to and can spend hours there, such a beautiful space to explore, with a spooky (in a fun way) history. Felt a bit magical / fairytale-like with all the winding towers and hidden wells and caves. There is also a cafe and toilets (these weren't the nicest but did the job).

This palace is really amazing. Would recommend spending 2-3 hours. The whole property sits on about 4 hectares so you get to explore a lot. There’s a Roman Catholic chapel near the palace and a park full of footpaths, tunnels, benches, fountains, waterfalls and even a tennis court. What we enjoyed the most was the mystic well which apparently was used to initiate the new members of Freemasonry. Definitely something not to miss while in Sintra!

Very beautiful park. Lots of trails, hidden staircases, beautiful plants/trees, and a lot of other small details. We really loved it! Advice: If you go early in the morning, there are not so many tourists and you can enjoy the tranquility of the place ;-)

In March 2022, I took an Airbnb experience trip to Sintra. Our day included a visit to one of the palaces, Quinta da Regaleira. Fascinating architecture, very picturesque too. We went on a Friday morning (10:30-12pm) there was no queue and it wasn’t too busy once we got in! So lucky to have beautiful weather too! We took a look inside one the rooms that had beautiful paintings, walked down the well and through the caves, posed by the fountains. A wonderful day and I’d recommend to any visiting Lisbon/Sintra!

Very beautiful park where you can walk. I walked here from the historic centre of Sintra. It was a beautiful walk and once I arrived at Quinta da Regaleira I was amazed. The garden is beautiful and large. There are many walking paths (with height differences), and it is very green. The palace is like a fairy tale. Unfortunately, I did not see the inside of the palace because it was too crowded. There was a long time in the middle of the sun, so I only saw the park. Next time I would definitely visit Quinta da Regaleira again, if only to see the palace from the inside.

Quinta da Regaleira is an interesting place to explore. The well, in particular, is unique with its design. The feeling is hard to describe as you descend into the well. The caves are also nice to explore, but the grounds have been fully restored and lost their original charm. The whole estate is huge, so be prepared to do a lot of walking. Some parts have been restored completely and lost their original look and charm. The palace is filled with intricate designs that are worth admiring. The chapel may be small inside, but its exterior design is quite beautiful. Overall, Quinta da Regaleira offers something different.

Extremely beautiful architecture!! This castle was on my wish list for years! Very crowded though, if you want the place as empty as possible aim to arrive at the opening time. Is a beautiful place to spend the entire day if you want, walking, resting, enjoying the sun. Always buy tickets in advance and be sure to respect the time frame indicated on the ticket for your entrance. There is a little restaurant on site serving cold/ warm drinks and snacks.

What a truly magical place! This was such a beautiful palace on the outside with such gorgeous gardens. The inside of the palace wasn't so great but that didn't matter as the outside really made up for it. I would love to visit this place again in the future. Only about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sintra.

Nice park with a lot of hidden paths and an even nicer building. Really liked the well, went twice. Lots of people inside, but I didn't have to wait long in the line, approx. 5 minutes. Can't imagine the occupancy during a high season, though. There's also a restaurant with some "basic" meals, like sandwiches, but pretty, prices were "what would you expect".

This is one of the best places I've seen. This castle and park are so unique, that it's definitely worth paying a visit. The park is so incredibly built, that you can go all the way under the ground in the numerous cave passages from one grot to another. It's a mystical experience that I highly recommend :)

What a magical place. Center of gracious architecture, full of symbolism about the free masons and the glory of roman Christians. Beautiful building from outside and inside it is a must see. You can easily get lost in its gardens. We highly recommend.

Worth the drive from the city. It was a rainy day however i would say it just made the visit that much more magical. Yes there long cues for the more popular attractions within the site.. but the natural beauty does take your breath away. Ornate buildings.. interesting cave passages… tropical gardens, you feel like you have stepped back in history. The town of Sintra itself is quite charming as well !

Amazeballls The mixture between the catholic and pagan with allusions to the sea voyages are tremendously fantastic Pity that with covid a lot of the caves were closed however still a great place to visit Between palácio da pena/castelo dos mouros and quinta da regaleira go to the latter It offers a more contained experience that is just as good minus the view from the mountain The poco iniciatico is something out of a horror thriller ... just love it !!!!! ❤️ Ps: on the tenth picture you can see by the map how big it is. Itll give you roughly 4+ hours of walking around admiring everything If you go during summer bring some food and definitely some water so you can enjoy a picnic within the facilities There’s a cafe inside but personally I prefer to bring my own stuff

Definitely worth the 10€ entrance fee - so much to see there! We loved that it has so much to offer. Our personal highlight: the Poço Iniciático where you can follow the downwards spiral, go through some caves and basically walk though half of the park underground. Even though there are quite a lot of tourists, you have a chilled vibe as the whole garden is spacious.

Breathtaking! Amazing! Wow! You have to visit this place when in Sintra. Don't go in to the palace, you'll wait 20-60 Minutes depending and spend around 5 inside... But the garden, the tunnels, the architecture...wow! Pro tip: If you do want to sneak a peak inside the palace, just a grab a bite at the Cafe next to it and take the furthest table out. You'll catch a glimpse, promised ;)

Wonderful, enchanting and beautiful place! Rich in history and culture. I felt like a little kid again exploring the winding pathways and structures in the garden and the underground tunnels. A decently quick walk from the historical center, but worth spending a lot of time in the garden and sculpture walk and various features of Quint! Absolutely a must see! My top recommendation for Sintra!

This was the best place to visit in Sintra! Definitely go to the well first, as that gets a long line during the day! And don’t just go to the well and the castle definitely go to the gardens where there’s a labyrinth and a grotto that’s fun to explore. There’s also a church, a fountain, another hidden well, Greek statues, and all sorts of things to find. This was definitely my favorite out of my whole Portugal trip! So do not miss this spot! Plus, the people at this location were really nice and helpful! Unlike some of the other places in Sintra! Such a Cole Castle! It reminds me of the Addams family for some reason… also look at all of the statues. Some are gargoyles that look like they’re eating themselves. Interesting.

Beautiful complex with lots of awesome stuff to explore. You really get lost in the aura of enrapturing history and, even in the rainy, overcast weather, it's a beautiful fusion of nature and construction that has stood the test of time. The building is slightly closed-off and more impressive on the outside than inside, however it's mainly about the grounds surrounding it and the initiation well that's such a great time. Additionally, I was surprised by the many creepy, macabre caves that prodded my imagination after seeing the well.

Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra offers a magical exploration through its lush gardens, captivating grottoes, and enchanting architecture. While its beauty attracts many, its popularity means it can get crowded, especially in good weather. Implementing a visitor limit could enhance the experience, ensuring everyone enjoys this mystical journey without the risk of it feeling too congested. A stunning, cool-visit destination that might benefit from crowd management to preserve its serene charm.

We visited here end of February, on a week day, around 3pm. Didn’t run into any lines and bought tickets at the front gate - approx. 13€ per ticket. Probably need to pre purchase tickets in busy season but the park is a nice size so you don’t run into too many people. A few of the smaller lookouts and the tunnels/well do have lines due to small stair cases, but all moved pretty fast. The well is cool but when you file down in a line of people, definitely takes away from the experience. If you’re claustrophobic I could see it being challenging also. The grounds (very well kept) and the palace were more amazing personally! Either way, it’s worth seeing and learning about. There’s a cafeteria on site and washrooms as well and I recommend walking up to the front gate. It’s a bit chaotic driving through or trying to get a ride right to the front gate.

(Translated by Google) The Palácio da Regaleira is the main building and the most common name of the Quinta da Regaleira palace. It is also called the Monteiro dos Milhões Palace, a name associated with the nickname of its first owner was António Augusto who was distinguished by King Dom Carlos I on August 16, 1904 as baron of Almeida. Entrance to the farm hidden in the grove. The palace is located on the hillside and a short distance from the Historic Center of Sintra, being classified as a Property of Public Interest since 2002. It forms an integral part of the cultural landscape of Sintra, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. António Augusto, by the trace of the Italian architect Luigi Manini, gives the farm of 4 hectares, the palace, surrounded by lush gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic constructions, places that hide alchemical meanings, such as those evoked by Freemasonry, Templars and Rose- cross. It models the space in mixed designs, which evoke Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Manueline architecture. Amazing is not a good adjective for this place. Maybe...WOW! FML! Is the best way to describe it. I have never seen such a beautiful place with so many things to see in one place. 3 hours is minimum you need to see everything. I have no word to make you understand what I've seen. I hope my pictures will help me a bit, but you have to see it yourself! Oh...and only 10 Euro to visit it?? I would pay 50 E for sure! Definitely I will visit this place again.

One of the most interesting and magical places I've seen, all countries included. It is a giant maze of caves, towers, castles and tunnels to explore where every angle is breath taking. I wish I had a couple days to lose myself in all those winding paths amongst the ruins. It is situated right next to Sintra which in itself is great, full of castles, palaces and places to visit. 100% recommend to photographers and explorers of all kinds!

A castle with an amazing architecture built in 19th century by an Italian architect. Large rooms with very nice design and a huge garden with a lot of attractions. You can arrive here by foot, it's a 20 minute walk from the down town. A really gorgeous architectural masterpiece.

Visited in early May on a weekday in the early evening. Not many people so it was very pleasant and peaceful. Beautiful grounds and feels quite old and magical. I enjoyed seeing the many different little interesting structures around the grounds and wondering what sparked some of this eccentricity. I actually preferred this to the Pena Palace. Would definitely recommend a visit if you have the time.

This garden is my favorite place from Sintra. You walk through the garden to enjoy the plants and the different construction elements (house, balcony, rampart, etc). The best element is hidden: you need to find the entrance of the inverted tower. This monument is so magnificent, it inspired some movies decors. I fully recommend this visit!

Amazing place. Just difficult to reach and park your own car if you go by yourself. Long queues for getting the ticket, however if you buy it online it is very quick to get in. Sad to see many places where closed still due to COVID regulations. Don't go to the cafe bar inside the park. It is a tourist trap.

The best place to visit in Sintra. Better than Pena Palace and moorish castle. If you have stroller, you can skip line cue. Amazing park with a lot pf attractions. The palace unfortunately is available only the first floor. The visit is about 2 hours, but maybe 3 is recommended to see all things. Be prepared to uphill and downhill.

This isn't like your regular palace visit in Sintra but rather it's a bit more like a wonderland of structures and gardens that blend together to form something more like a magical playground that's quite pleasant to visit for its uniqueness and how it blends with nature. It certainly comes with recommendations from locals as a must visit in Sintra. There's plenty of open spaces to walk around and between each attraction. The initiation well is probably the busiest attraction and you will need to line up to enter and then walk down this quite spectacular fantasy-like structure. Other than that, you can visit and ascend small towers, go inside the various buildings and structures, and even just sit and enjoy the surrounds.

This is an amazing place to visit when coming to Sintra. A castle with lush grounds and many nooks with walking trails, caves, a massive, gorgeous well that leads into a cave system. Situated on a side of the hill, this place has everything. Amazing old world vibe and a glimpse into it. Go for a walk-up hill, explore, and then take the stairs down in the well to reach other attractions. Must see!

Beautiful green place to spend the day. Great views and an amazing palace. There is some interesting caves too. Definitely worth the ticket price but try to take some food with you as the place to grab a bite inside the Quinta is a bit overpriced and crowded.

Beautiful castle. I'd highly recommend going inside and taking in the view from the balconies. You can see the rest of the palace grounds as well as the city from up on the terraces. Of course, there's a short wait to get in and the exterior may be the most impressive part, but if you have the time, I still think it's worth it to go inside and admire the architecture up close. The interior is lovely as well.

The palace is truly magical and enchanting. There was a little drizzle, but not too bad. We had to stay in line for about 15 minutes to get to the Initiation well, but it was worth it. The caverns where one comes out from the well are very pretty and unique. There are many places to walk around holding hands and stealing kisses. The Castle itself is beautiful, although fairly small. It takes about 10 minutes to walk through. The grounds provide plenty of opportunities for photos, even on an overcast day.

Breathtaking grounds with much to see and lots to explore. There’s a line to go down the well to the cave system, but it moves fairly quick. At another cave system, the Labyrinth Cave, there’s no light but it is also very interesting. Getting here can be intense. You are walking uphill nearly the entire time. The 434 bus (hop on hop off) will drop you off near the exit but there’s still 5-10 min uphill you have to walk to get to the entrance. Getting an advanced ticket will allow you to skip the line. The inside of the mansion is quite crowded as everyone moves through the rooms in single file. There’s a bit of history about the estate but not much else. If you are limited on time, stick to the outside.

Absolutely worth visiting! An "easy, but hilly" 10 minute walk from the National Palace. The grounds are beautiful with cobblestone paths and some steep stairs. Many of the paths do not have hand rails and may be challenging if you have mobility issues. We were here the beginning of December and the site was not crowded at all, no wait.

This place is so close to Pena palace that it may go unnoticed or even stay in second plan and that is absolutely unfair. There is so much interesting and beautiful things to see in Quinta da Regaleira that I dare say it may be almost as impressive as the palace itself. Don't you dare to miss it.

I would not recomended. I visited this place today. Price compare previous years is almost 2 times more - 10 euro! Covid regulation is ridiculus here, for example picture below. In addition tunels or walls are still open and this one is closed due to Covid! . Upper terrace in Palace is closed due to renovation. Of course I undestand working here by price should be also include this. In addition too less information near attraction. Today I visited Palace de Pena with huge garden compare this one. It would be good but not for this price.

Quinta da Regaleira with it's Gothic appearance, landscaped gardens, caves, temples, tunnels, secrets, nature and fantastic architecture evoked in me a sense of serenity between earthly design and the fantastic both spiritually and naturally. Designed for a billionaire with a love of butterflies, this UNESCO world heritage site has to be the most fascinating man-made paradise that I've visited to date. Take a good camera but still don't expect to catch the sheer magnificence of this estate. Give yourself between 2 and 6 hours. Many rooms are currently inaccessible due to Covid19 but there is still plenty to see.

Absolutely worth a visit - could’ve spent double the time here. The place is beautiful all around and there are so many corners to explore. A must visit when you are in Lisbon and want to venture outside of the city for a day. The garden / Court is amazing with all its sculptures, fountains and buildings. Be prepared for a stiff walk up the hill, but it's worth it

For the price of 10e per person, this place has a lot to offer. Walking around the garden can take more than two hours if you with to explore everything at a slow, relaxing pace. For navigating the garden you can take a map that is located next to a security guard. It's very well drawn, has all the important things and most of the side walking paths that are useful not just as shortcuts, but a freedom from tourists. IMPORTANT: Due to COVID, some things are now not operable. The waterfall is out of limits, as well as one or two towers outside (i dont understand why). Most importantly, you can see the well and walk around the palace as usual, and the back exhibitions are open as well.

I didn't have a guide/ information and feel like I missed a lot of interesting facts about the history if the place since it is not explained in the park itself. If you want to have more information definitely get some sort of guide. The palace itself can be skipped without regrets if you don't want to wait too long in the queue.

We went there on a weekday, not crowded. A bit of up hill walking it’s doable. Depends on your walking speed, takes about 15 minutes from the bus stop to the ticket office. Senior ticket is 50% off. Sturdy the map before you go, it gives you a better idea what you want to see, this way you don’t keep confused cuz it’s a huge place.

  • 5/5 Steven B. 2 years ago on Google
THE most beautiful castle grounds ever visited. There is so much to discover. It’s not only fun for kids but adults too. Best is to not use the map but discover everything just as it comes. Plan at least 3 hours for everything. The castle house itself was nice too with the live piano player starting always at 4 pm. At the moment writing this post the upper half of the house was under construction, so if that’s important to you - check before. 10 euros is a super fair price for everything!

A gorgeous place to visit in Sintra! Take your time to enjoy every detail, the place is rich! I suggest something like 3 hours, to look at any single grotto and altar even more to visit the household interiors: two important queues to take into account. Recommended as a place to be in Sintra!

  • 5/5 Mateusz G. 2 years ago on Google
The most beautiful palace in Sintra, definitely recommend it. It costs 10 Euros and you'll spend around 2 hours there. I think it's not worth going into the palace as you're going to be there 3-5 minutes and stay 40 minutes to get in there. Nevertheless, the gardens are BREATHTAKING, just look at the photos!

Highly recommended. If you arrive near opening time at 10am then you will be in within 15 mins and the charge is 10E per adult not 20E as some 'jump the queue' tour operators will price. Worth every single cent and will make you feel like Alice in Wonderland.

Amazing grounds and castle! Went with our kids (3.5yo and 5mo) and it was really interesting to go into the initiation well, go through tunnels, the labrynth and climbing all the towers. Not stroller friendly if you want to see all the individual attractions listed above. You could always park your stroller but some areas (like the initiation well) are one way and you would have to climb back up the hill to get it after. It's a lot of walking around the castle grounds, so would suggest starting at the top of the estate and making your way down. Plan for half day to whole day here as there is a lot to see and explore. There are lockers at the ticketing entrance, cafe right beside the main castle, and plenty of areas to sit if you bring your own food.

Stunning palace built recently (early 1900s) with beautiful grounds/garden and historic features. The caves and staircase are fantastic. The Cafe is also pretty nice on site. The audio guide is very informative and only costs 3 euros

I'm pretty sure this is a plant lover and fairytale lover's dream castle and grounds, and therefore is my favourite of all the castles in Sintra and the surrounding area. From Sintra station, it is around a 25 min walk. I easily spent 3 hours there exploring every nook and cranny (and I regret nothing). There is only one cafe on the grounds, so it may be more worthwhile to eat /bring food from the old town before heading to the gates. The majority of Quinta is made up of the gardens and grounds. Expect to do a lot of walking and it would be best to wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting muddy (some smaller paths were slightly muddy when I visited in January). There are lot of narrow winding staircases which you can choose to climb up or down (including the initiation well). You can access almost every location in Quinta from multiple routes, including some wide paths that would suit strollers, and steep narrow staircases for the adventurous. On a good day, or when the sun is out, you can see the Moor castle and Sintra old town in the background. If you had the time, I recommend getting the audio guide. It mentioned a lot of hidden features that I would have missed otherwise, and gave a lot of background context on the locations.

Wow this place is magically. The grounds are amazing it's hard to believe that someone lived here and it was their house. My love an I really enjoyed the underground grotto where you can turn your flashlight off on your phone and try to walk around in the dark maybe stealing a kiss or 2 from the one you love I know I sure did. The place is just awesome and there is alot to learn. The only line to wait in took a couple minutes.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit! So much to explore here! We loved walking through the palace and getting to know the history of the lands. The gardens are beautiful as well! So many neat things to stumble upon, like the spiral well, the tunnels, waterfall, and chapel. We could have spent the whole day here! Definitely buy tickets in advance as we were able to by pass the line and walk right in.

A truly awe-inspiring tour. The history and architecture is majestic and well worth the guided tour to learn about all of it. Perfect spot for pictures, especially the matured gardens and forests against the beautiful masonry and stone work. The most memorable moment was going down the spiral staircase and touring the cave grottoes.

Eclectic mansion and grounds that can get extremely busy but is worth seeing. To see the well and tunnels beneath you should expect to have to queue. One of many places to see in Sintra but well worth visiting. Buy tickets in advance (or online while queuing as we did) to fast track through the entrance.

Lots of people, but still worth the smaller lines to see the well. Beautiful stonework, pleasant weather in June and the town was nice to take a break. You will walk up steep hills and trails, rides avaliable. Great for hiking and site seeing at the same time.

Quinta da Regaleira is definitely one of my top picks in Sintra. It is mainly known for the mysterious Initiation Well but the whole park and the mansion are beautiful attractions. We bought our tickets online to avoid queueing at the entrance and it was a good idea I would really recommend. This attraction tends to be very busy and we arrived there before it opened at 10 am so that we could benefit from a less crowded well. After walking down the well and the tunnels we spent around an hour walking around the park which is really beautiful with many interesting spots!

A truly magical place. I loved every moment we were there. From the massive gardens, to the mysterious pathways, passing through the well of initiation... It was amazing. I cannot recommend this enough. We booked in advance and the entrance was a breeze, no hassle whatsoever. Then you just wander the place and just get amazed at the amount of things you discover by just walking around. Best visit in Sintra in my opinion

A magical spot, well worth the visit. Steeped in history, this beautiful spot is a must visit while touring around Sintra. There are lots of castles around Sintra and you won’t have time to visit them all. Be sure you see this spot - you will not be disappointed. Go early, as the crowds build throughout the day. 🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

What a stunning place! This is one of the most unique places I have ever seen. The initial well is an experience and the palace is gorgeous. My only complaint is that going during the summer (late august) is not only hot, but insanely crowded, so be prepared to wait.

Make sure you buy tickets in advance, unless you don t want to waste like 40 minutes. I would advise to plan for 2.5 (up to 3 hours) for the palace and the garden. There were 2 ling queues inside: one to the palace and one to the initiation well.

Really amazing! Love the gothic architecture. The whole place is quite huge so there's plenty to see in it. It would probably take around 2 hours to visit if the well is skipped (the queue there is insane)

I recently visited Quinta da Regaleira and I must say that the view was absolutely stunning! The green landscape was so beautiful and it was so enjoyable to spend the day walking around the grounds. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience nature and enjoy some peaceful moments. The architecture is also interesting and it is definitely worth a visit.

There's a lot of natural beauty here and there's definitely a certain mystique to the area as well. There is lots to explore and you can spend a couple hours here at least, depending on how many other sites you are trying to visit in your day. Note that this place gets busy and crowded. If you're visiting the Initiatic Well (the inverted tower), the line up moves quite quickly, but that's because there is staff that rushes you along. You won't be able to stop and will continually be told to keep moving, so if you want to take any photos, be sure to have your camera/phone ready and to take them on the go. This certainly helps with not having to wait too long, but just be aware that you will be rushed along and won't have any opportunity to stop and enjoy. We were also slightly disappointed that there were some areas that were no longer accessible, as a friend had gone previously to a grotto area behind a small waterfall, and along some stepping stones in the water. Still, it was worth a visit and the whole family (kids 11 and 9) enjoyed the time there. Getting tickets ahead of time is definitely recommended.

Beautiful, serene and interesting place to visit. If you love exploring, the outdoors and nature, this place is definitely worth a visit. Especially love the Wells of Initiative. The inside of the castle itself is mediocre.

Very beautiful palace and it's territory. Really amazing to see architecture masterpiece with awesome waterfalls, lakes, caves, etc. Only one big problem - toilets. There is only one at whole territory

For only 10 or so euros it feels like you could explore this place for several hours. There are endless little nooks for explore especially outdoors if you like plants, caves, architecture and good views. Highly recommend the well of imitation. Spooky! It’s about a 25 min walk from the Sintra station. 45 degree angle the whole way 😂

Beautiful garden. I visited in december and it wasn't too busy. The initiation well is a must see. You only go down, so don't worry about having to go back up.

This place is gorgeous! Such an Adventures! Amazing little walkways and twists and turns up and down this estate. You do not need a guide! You can just hang around other groups with guides and get the info you need! Going down the famous well here is probably one of the coolest things you can do in portugual. Come here and see how cool this place is!

Quinta da regaleira is personally my favorite (even more than Pena palace), there are multiple green areas since Sintra is a national park. But the surrounding gardens make it more magical. Some lakes, many tunnels (some entrances closed), hidden pathways and beautiful views. 12€ entrance at the counter. Same online

Pretty cool place to walk around to see nice historical buildings, shortcuts around the area, cool old wells. Prepare for lots of walking though. Not sure if it's just me but I thought the maps were a bit hard to follow. I went during November, I figured I'd just buy the tickets there since it's low season and yeah there was no line.

A walk in the past. Well preserved and beautifully arranged to meet anyone's expectations. Fully recommend but bring your batteries charged. Worst case scenario you'll be tired before you finish. The caves and the pit are amazing. Go for it...

Beautiful place to visit, easily walkable from historic Sintra centre, €12 for adults entry, the palace itself is nice but the grounds are stunning and you can spend much time exploring them. Recommend comfortable footwear and book ticket online in advance to avoid Q for tickets.
