Love the food and friendly service at Longhorn. Also, love the Writer's Roundhouse Shows being held there by Trent Harmon. This is an additional perk to eating there. Would highly recommend this mom and pop steakhouse. Also, great for parties.

Such great food! It's not necessarily the cheapest in town, but the food itself is well worth the price. The service is also fast and friendly, so it's definitely an enjoyable visit. And, to you American Idol fans, it's owned and run by the family of Trent Harmon!

Always a wonderful hidden gem. Very good food, very good selection, timing of food to table is good too. Great folks that run it, great and very attentive staff as well. Dine-in atmosphere is good, although it can get a little loud at times.

It has been years since my last visit here. Glad for the invite received. I ordered the 8 oz steak. It was so good! Cooked to perfection for me!! The cut of the meat was the way I prefer. The juices and flavor were popping!!! Enjoyed the salad, baked potato and roll!! But the steak wins the prize!!! Got to get back!!...

Food was hot. Only thing I ask for hot hushpuppies with my meal, when it comes out I had regular hushpuppies 🤔 I told the girl that brought out our order that the hushpuppies we're supposed to be hot ones, she said okay and then sent someone else over to the table to tell me hot hushpuppies is only an appetizer ☹️ all I wanted was a couple of hot hushpuppies with my clam strips

Excellent food! Salad bar was fresh and well stocked. Steak came out as ordered. Waitresses kept our drinks filled and were very courteous. I was very happy with my 1st visit.

First of all this place is extremely difficult to find, especially if you are an out of towner. I have known about it for several years and it was at least my third excursion driving to find it before I got lucky and cracked the secret quite by accident. The location on Google maps is accurate but the location on Yelp is wrong. I went out on a recent Friday morning in yet another attempt to find it. About a year and a half ago , I thought I had found it but it looked liked it has closed down. Then I read something that indicated it was still operating after my previous experience. As I drove up to the building it looked dilapidated. No hours or anything on the door or anywhere nearby. What looked like a broken down sign w space for stick on letters, but no letters, and a big arrow pointing off in a slightly different direction from the building. No signs of life etc. As a sat in my car looking at what I thought might be the front door, a nice man in a car driving down the road spotted me and drove up to talk to me. I asked him if this was Longhorn because there was no sign. He obligingly told me it was and they hadn't had a sign in 23 years - but maybe they would get one for their 25th anniversary. He said they always had a good crowd, except for football weekends, when it wasn't so crowded. I assumed he meant Miss State, about 45 miles away. So I googled the next home town game day, which just happened to be the next day, and went back when they opened at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Well now for the food - very reasonably priced, nice people, efficient. Several combinations of menu choices depending on how hungry you are. Decent fresh tasting salad bar. You get a small wooden bowl to fill up. Not a lot of variety, but what they had was good and fresh. Very good homemade potato salad and macaroni salad. Several choices of quality salad dressings. I order the two piece combo and chose a four oz ribeye med rare and fish strips (catfish). The steak was small and thin, making it difficult to cook it med rare it turned out more like medium well. Still, it was very tasty and I really liked it. The catfish and hush puppies were both excellent. I would say it was definitely worthwhile to visit and I can't wait to go back and try some more of the menu choices until I have worked my way through a taste of all the entrees. A pleasant, clean and relaxed environment, so don't be put off by the exterior. Nice friendly staff.

I loved every minute of it. 😍 The people are the nicest!!! 😀And the food was delicious. 🥗🍗🍟 Of course getting to meet Trent Harmon was the highlight🎵🎶🎸🎤 but the way everyone treated my granddaughter, Lucy, with such special treatment meant so much to her but it meant the world to me. 🎈🎉🎈🎉I had been trying to get her to see Trent for so long and had gotten sick every time. But when I called Mrs. Cindy from my Dr. Office yesterday she assured me that we would get the royal treatment 👑👑 and she did not disappoint at all. A night Lucy and I will remember for sure🤗🤗🤗🤗

It was great. Had the all you can eat special, the ribeye steak was thin but cooked properly, medium rare (warm red center). The fish and shrimp were perfect also.

The catfish was excellent and the staff was fantastic. Great family atmosphere.

Tonight nov 18 2023 Ordered whole fish plate with onion lemon and slaw plus chicken tip plate all to go Fish plate not only was very undercooked (only could eat the very thin pieces near the tail) but I got no onion nor lemon nor slaw Chicken tip plate was undercooked as well wife threw in in the trash as well I understand it all about the dollar but if you don’t have the customers the dollar will eventually go away Been eating there either dine in or to go for years but have noticed in the last few months a decline in quality Very possibly my last experience with Longhorn
