Ekvira Devi temple is famous for the Rukhmini Haran place. It is said that Rukhmini the daughter of King Bhishmak ran away with Lord Krishna. The cave is inside of the temple behind the Janardhan swami samadhi. There is small well where he used to do his rituals. He found both idols and placed inside caves. Later temple were constructed. This temple undergo with huge renovation.In this process the sindoor of Ekvira devi fallen down due to which the true form of Idol can be seen. The big idol of lord vishnu in sleeping posture were found in the well.

Beautiful temple. Must visit. Amravati is famous because of this ancient temple. Construction had took place there to provide better facility. Big program was there during Navratri festival. The story of Lord Krishna and Rukmini was related to this temple. There is cave inside the temple. It said that from this cave lord Krishna went secretly with Devi Rukmini. May all you know this story very well... Nice place.
