This experience had everything you need in a whisky tasting set up. We tried real good whisky, had some yummy bites with it, and the highlight of the experience was the expert; Micheal, He definitely made the experience great, highly recommended.

Stumbled across this place while killing some time waiting for a restaurant reservation nearby, but I’m very happy to have found the place. This cafe has a dutch feel to it but I wouldn’t say it’s like a typical ‘bruin café’. It is very nice and cozy though. I can imagine coming back even by myself with a good book. There are plenty of interesting beers and whiskeys to try and the location is very convenient as well.

There is a great whiskey selection, but they under pour and over charge. The bartender was professional and knowledgeable, but I was one of the only people there for whiskey. The bar was crowded with noisy, obnoxious beer drinkers. I would have loved to try a few other whiskies, but with one pour being 19€, one had to be enough.

Perhaps my favourite bar in the city. For those who have a love for beer or whisky, this is a must. If, as in my case, you’re into both, you’d be mad to miss it. Not only is the selection of products extensive, as is the knowledge of the delightful bartenders; with many local beers on the ever changing taps. There’s an excellent sense of community here, with charming clientele and regular performances from local musicians. A world away from the nearby red lights, this establishment comes as an extremely welcome oasis.

I'd recommend the whiskey taking. Laurens is incredibly knowledgeable, witty, and friendly. He made us feel at ease straight away and taught us a lot.

An absolute treat. We stopped in for a tasting session and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were extra friendly and even put together a tasting set for us with a thorough explanation and history for each An absolute must if your in the area.

High-end oasis in busy and loud center. If you look for the quality, there you go. Gents understand what they are doing, and service has great quality. Highly recommended for whiskey and good beer lovers. I keep returning to the place.

Michael the bartender was a perfect gentleman and made us feel so comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to drink in the evening. Michael is clearly very passionate about this place and what he does.

We’ve done a whiskey tasting and the presentation along with the whiskey pairing was exquisite. The atmosphere is one of a kind, that makes you feel a part or the whiskey world. What is as beautiful as the whiskey experience is the storytelling of each whiskey we have got. Definitely recommend!!!

Lovely little whisky bar! We had a whisky tasting and the barkeeper poured us a varied selection with accompanied stories, he knew all there is to know about these whiskies from flavours and sensation to background stories and much more. With exciting passion for the art that is whisky, a visit to this café will enthuse and inspire everyone that has a warm heart for whisky!

We ended up in Zilt one very late night when everything else was closed and had a few wonderful glasses of whisky and a great chat with the bartender. The place is cozy and has a great vibe. Will gladly come by again.

Stunning small, calm, clean, sweet bar in the middle of the noisiest part of Amsterdam. Like a pure oasis of a watering hole. Michael is always pleased to meet and serve you the right refreshmemts. The KEGS stout was outstanding and he even gave us Peruvian dark chocolate on the house. Mwah. Enjoy!

The place is small but beautiful. They have a huge variety of awesome spirit drinks and the service is impecable. 100% recommendable if you're around.

The best bar experience Iv had in a long time. Well prepared, professional and friendly bartenders. The atmosphere was fantastic! Me and my wife had a wonderful night at this place! We really enjoyed it!

Love this place. The corner window is the perfect spot to chill for a while. The selection of drinks is wide and variated.

This is a bar solely focused on whiskey, with an impressive assortment and great attention to detail. Despite being confronted with tourists everyday you can see the people behind the counter really love what they do. Maybe this place could be perceived as a tad upmarket, or at least they want to appear that way, but due to its location it's also not too snobby, still cozy and still good place to have fun. They have flights, which are always a good idea. Thus I ordered the "New kids on the block" flight which comprised of three whiskeys that come from countries which are traditionally not so known for their whiskey distilleries like Germany. They tasted astonishingly great. Would come back anytime.

The worst service we experienced in Amsterdam. Just walked past late night with my mate. Went to come in and the bar guy came to the door and accused me of being drunk. I’d had 2 glasses of wine all evening. My friend who’s Korean and hasn’t really a knowledge of whiskey asked for a whiskey sour and the bar guy like made fun of her for it. Maybe that’d be a good chance for a bar man to educate about whiskey, not belittle someone. The bar man had zero interest in us, our drinks were empty for a long time before he bothered to come over. We ordered a whiskey and he made a joke that he’d assumed we weren’t going for the expensive one. I tried to tell him I’d been to both distilleries where the whiskeys we’d ordered had been made in the Scottish islands, he didn’t even reply to it. All the bar guy did all night was talk to a group of 4 people I assume were his mates at the opposite end of the bar.
