Loved this experience. Highly recommend it. We booked via Viator. Had a few drinks in with package. Turn up a little earlier than slot to get time in first bar before ice bar part. A thoroughly enjoyable thing to do.

Brilliant place. Wrap up warm, although they provide outer layers to keep you warm. The ice bar itself was about -10 degrees. Loved the ice glasses and options of flavoured vodka shots or beer.

This is a great experience. It was recommended to me as a ‘must do’ in Amsterdam and I have to say I agree! It’s a fun experience. It is however not an actual bar environment and something you would probably only do once but still worth doing! I would recommended arriving about 30 minutes before your slot to settle in at the ‘normal’ bar and have a drink before going into the ice bar!

A lot smaller than we initially expected, however an enjoyable experience. A bit unfortunate we came to discover not all of it is ice, rather plastic. However the shots offered are very nice and it’s a good 20 min experience in Amsterdam if you have free time. Very entertaining and enthusiastic staff too!

Absolutely terrific staff and atmosphere here! After a recent visit to the Xtracold Icebar in Amsterdam I felt entirely compelled to leave a review in appreciation of the amazing and extremely helpful staff here. Before entering the Icebar, I had unfortunately; over indulged in one of Amsterdam’s famous ‘Coffee Shops’ and became very sick with a nearly 2 hour long whitey. I was very grateful to the staff who were so helpful and understanding , they knew I was very unwell and rather than throwing me out (as I would’ve done in their position), they provided me with sugary drinks and food to help me feel better quicker. I had no idea where I was or how I had gotten there, and as out of my mind as I was, I did feel very safe, I owe this to the bar, door and entertainment staff! Everyone was truly wonderful and I will appreciate their help indefinitely! Regarding the bar itself, it was my second trip there, and there will definitely be a third on my return to Amsterdam one day. Fun and exciting atmosphere from the cold pirate theme to the refreshing drinks. Very cool place and even better staff! Definitely worth the visit

Worth going once for the novelty and pictures! Even the cups are made of ice! They provide coats and gloves, but I recommend setting down your glass on one of the ice tables as it's still quite chilIy at -9°C. Really liked the non-alcoholic cocktail as well.

Really fun experience! The whole thing lasts around 15 minutes as you wait in the warm bar before going in and get a free drink there! There’s set options for that! Then you get your coat and gloves and head into the ice bar where you get two more drinks with your tickets! The glasses are made from ice and you can get some nice photos before you go back to the warm bar again 🤣

Very cool and unique experience. Fun place for pictures and I think the price is worth it. It is quite crowded in the first room you enter and the big drink you get at the start has a 80:20 ratio of ice to drink but the ice shots are so fun. The cream and the nuts and nougat were favourites among my friends and I. The staff was a little rude, mainly to my female friends and I, but nothing excessive to hinder our experience. Definitely be there early so you can have your drink before the ice bar.

An Arctic Adventure in the Heart of Amsterdam! Not too big but a must visit. The drinks served in ice glasses were a delightful touch, and the selection was diverse, catering to various tastes. Sipping a cocktail from a glass made of pure ice was a surreal experience that added a unique twist to the evening.

I've been to a few ice bars before, and this one was met the expectation I had going into the experience. Disclaimer: My experience may vary from yours, and that's okay, but let's get back to the review. Lol. You could take pictures as many pictures as you would like as long as your hands, thumbs, and pointer finger could handle being outside the gloves. I wish there was an ice throne like the rest I've been to, but it was still a great time nonetheless. You also get three drinks with your ticket. One drink is outside in the regular bar area, and the other two are inside the icebar. It goes down to -9.4 degrees, so please come prepared. I will say get your tickets in advance. It's much easier that way.

Not sure where to start but this was a good activity to do! Captain Jack Sparrow was our guide, well atleast we thought it was him. The experience at the bar was great, checking in to the drinks and the ice bar itself. Got in for our 7:00pm slot, everything ran on time. The ice bar was definitely cold, minus 15 felt like minus 50, everything was made of ice. Thought it might have had some other things to do inside but it was still very good. Characters did a good job of hyping the crowd up and giving energy before we got in. Gave a narrative with a video behind the ice bar and offered jackets/gloves to go in. Worth the experience! My only thing with this was that we had to pay to get access to the digital photos, why take the photos inside if we can’t get access unless you pay. I think maybe ask guests first before taking the photos if they’d like to pay for it after. Simply because most places give you access to the download the photos if they’d take them at any point during the experience. You have that option and not forced to pay for it if you didn’t request a photo to be taken. Other than this, drinks were great at the lounge before you enter the ice bar and inside.

Booked online before we went to Amsterdam. Had a great time. Watched a short video before entering the icebar. They gave us a coat and gloves. We had tokens for 2 free drinks in the ice bar and 1 free drink in the main bar. I had a sambuca and a beer in the icebar and a non alcoholic sex on the beach cocktail in the bar. Temperature was -9.4° in the icebar. They take your photo which you can purchase before you leave. Staff are great and the atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely go again

Very unique experience in Amsterdam. You need to book your place in advance on their website. It’s 26,50 euro for 1 person. You’ll receive three tokens you can use for drinks (included in the price). They have jackets and gloves you can use. I would definitely recommend because it’s really cold (-10C). I tried the ‘Nuts & Nougat vodka shot’. It is really good. Loved it.

Fun experience. You get 3 drinks, but there is very limited choice. 1 'normal' drink in the first bar, then 2 shots in the actual ice bar. This is more about experiencing the place than going to a bar for drinks. It is about -9c in there and the glasses they give you are made of ice, so I recommend you make the most of the gloves and coat they give you. However, you do acclimatise quite quickly.

This was one of the highlight of our holiday. Very arty and creative. While atmosphere was incredible. Actor sailor was good. Drinks were presentable in glasses moulded of ice. Overall fantastic. Good value for money and time. Will recommend it to anyone that wants to experience something different than the normal bar. They took photos and there were several packages available.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Amsterdam! I’m so happy I was finally able to visit. From the start the staff was friendly and welcoming. Myron especially was memorable. He was so sweet and funny! I loved our pictures! Thank you IceBar and Myron for making this such a pleasant experience.

The place is a bit quirky and gimmicky but a good time for the price. You have to wait in the lounge until your time slot and your group gets called into the ice bar. You get 3 drinks at the lounge (cocktails, beer, cola). When you get called into the ice bar, they provide jackets and gloves. You get two drinks at the ice bar (shots and/or beer). It’s pretty cold so you really can just be there for around 15 minutes

  • 5/5 Christos S. 5 months ago on Google • 44 reviews
Definitely a nice experience. Various tastes of shots and beer once you're inside the Ice bar, the shots were not that "heavy" on alcohol, or at least I didn't feel it that way. The taste was awesome though. The staff was great and very friendly!

The experience itself was super fun and new. The cold room was so cool haha. If you don’t drink you can have one non alcoholic mocktail and some orange juice.

  • 4/5 Jason K. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: Friendly staff and a good vibe. 3 free drinks in the entry price. Cons: Robes do not fasten and some have rips. I was glad of my own thick jacket. Smaller the London's Ice bar but a fun visit all the same.

A chilly and unforgettable experience! The Ice Bar in Amsterdam is a must-visit for anyone in the city. From the icy atmosphere to the incredible ice sculptures, every detail is meticulously crafted. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring every guest has a great time. Cocktails served in ice glasses add a unique touch to the experience. Highly recommended for an extraordinary night out!

Step into Amsterdam's coolest venue, Xtracold Icebar where everything is made of ice. • Experience a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius and see everything made entirely of ice from the walls to even the drinking glasses. • Sip on your favorite beverages from ice glasses and exchange 3 tokens for drinks. Marvel at the furniture, art, and glasses, all sculpted from ice. • Fun fact: Since the Ice Bar doesn't have lockers, it's best to bring a normal-sized purse or backpack.

  • 5/5 C J. 8 months ago on Google
Pretty awesome place, definitely worth doing! Very friendly staff, your entry includes 2x drink tokens, drinks served in actual ice glasses which is cool! The bar and tables themselves are made of ice and loads of ice props dotted about. They give you gloves and a coat which you think you won’t need, you will, it’s so cold in there (obviously). Overall it’s a cool experience, no pun intended.

  • 3/5 Ryan R. 9 months ago on Google
It's a tourist trap that's probably worth doing. They cycle you through quickly so expect to only be there an hour, tops. But it's still fun. When we went they were unable to make beer glasses out of ice so in the ice part all you could have was shots. That probably should have been mentioned when buying the tickets.

Amazing experience, loved our visit. Went with my 2 sons aged 30 and 28, visit lasted around an hour. Definitely different and would recommend 100%.

  • 2/5 Monsteralex X. 5 months ago on Google
A real tourist trap, but then again, you could have imagined it. In itself, it's no problem if the staff are friendly, but here it's quite the opposite. We're a group of 9 tourists. The first ones arrive 10 minutes early, but they're warned that if the last ones don't arrive within 5 minutes, we won't be able to get in and we won't get our money back. Our last friends arrive running, but on time. We're given tickets and told we'll be picked up in 10 minutes. To my astonishment, I point out that we've run for nothing, but I'm threatened that if I complain we won't be allowed in. Anyway, the girl at reception thinks she has the death right over everyone, I think she imagines she has the perfect job...never mind. Once inside, stressed-out, aggressive waiters serve you like robots. Then it's time to enter the ice bar. Here, too, you have to hurry, and they try to offer you a photo in case you want to spend even more on this tourist trap. In the end, after 14 minutes, you're kicked out, not exactly what you'd expected on the booking site. In the end, it's not even that cold in there, at least not as cold as the staff. Only 1 staff member was cool, and that was the captain. There are plenty of other things to do in Amsterdam, so steer clear of this stuff.

  • 4/5 Lando S. 5 months ago on Google
The staff are very friendly and sympathetic! It's also a cool experience to have drinks in -10º. I'm giving 4 stars just because inside the Icebar we could have more things to do to fill the time of the experience, but I do recommend regardless. 😊

  • 4/5 Facundo R. 3 months ago on Google New
Nice place, bought the tickets one day before go. The experience is good, the staff try to submerge you into a story and send you to the cold area. Is more like an experience, nothing out of mind. I would like more variety of drinks (there are some non-alcoholic), and also some of the ice walls are not transparent so it's not so good to take a picture, but is good for a night out once.

  • 5/5 adele c. 5 months ago on Google
Very fun had a great laugh ,the blonde hair guy wasn't for serving us which is bad service considering you get only short time to drink 2 pre paid drinks,b4 go into ice part. other than that was fab we did stay for drinks after only different bar staff on. Defo go again

Very cool experience, gotta appreciate an actual ice bar with even their glasses made out of ice. The temperature inside didn’t feel as cold as I expected it was around -9° Celsius but it was fun nonetheless.

  • 5/5 Jury G. 2 years ago on Google
Ahoi Captain! This is the coolest bar in Amsterdam, you should keep you warm and ready to a lower degrees experience! Take your coins and order your favourite drink for keeping your body warm. Take a photo with Bob (the skeleton) and enjoy! 🥶

Short fun but tacky and overpriced. They don't help themselves with a fake story at the start as if you're on a ship for some reason as that's why the bar is ice cold.... Didn't make any sense, would have like to have more range of drinks in the ice bar itself and learn more about them and how they taste differently in cold conditions for example Ice Cold Heineken. But the staff were either jaded or new and didn't really care. Lower your expectations.

Awesome concept to go at a bar at -20 C and drink of cups made of ice. Just be careful with them as they easily break.

What a great place to head while in Amsterdam. Nothing quite beats driving a Heineken, from a glass made from ice, in -10c. A must on any visit to Amsterdam. If you have the IAmsterdam card you get a 25% on entry. Entry is quite reasonable, and has 3 drinks included. Special shout out to Jamie and Abby working there, really friendly, welcoming and knowledgable when giving tips on things to see and do on my visit.

  • 5/5 Tadhg H. 1 year ago on Google
Highly recommend a visit, great photo opportunities in the ice bar. Jacket and gloves provided. The tickets we bought included 1 drink at the bar and 2 drinks included in the ice bar, either a beer or a shot (Non alcoholic drinks included). Staff working there are friendly and energetic, especially behind the bar which is great. You won’t be waiting long before asking for your drinks.

  • 4/5 Ana R. 2 years ago on Google
Was a nice experience. Drinks could be better served but still very nice!!

  • 4/5 Amal B. 2 years ago on Google
I expected the bar to be too big but it's just around 40m2. Too tight space but the host were good and when we entered the temperature was at - 9.4° We could feel the cold as you take off the hand gloves, it starts feeling a bit chilly. They serve alcohol inside and the best part is that the glass on which they serve alcohol is completely made up of ice. One suggestion that I would give is to hold the glass with your gloves on as your hands might tend to feel the cold quite quickly.

  • 5/5 andrei i. 2 years ago on Google
Thank you Myron! Great energy, great vibe and a funny personality! You made the experience an unforgettable one. As many said, what's better than a Heineken served in an ice glass? Definitely a must see if you visit Amsterdam!

  • 4/5 Jessica C. 2 years ago on Google
It was very cool however I thought the actual IceBar would be slightly bigger. Also it’s too cold too stay longe than like 30min. But cool experience.

Visited in December and was great for a short experience. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks were great. However the ice room was quite small and there wasn’t a greet variety of frozen drinks.

  • 5/5 Emmanuelle R. 2 years ago on Google
We had a great experience! The flavoured vodkas are really tasty, and the Ice Bar was fun to visit. Special thanks to the staff, they are really great and very friendly, espacially Myron!

Definitely an experience you can't get anywhere else. Good value for what you get. We started in the normal bar with a cool introduction to the pirate themed experience from a very enthusiastic member of staff. We got thermal jackets and gloves and entered the ice bar at -10c. It was a good experience and a good location for pictures. The shots weren't very good though and the professional photos were very overpriced. Other than that, the staff were nice and I would recommend if in amsterdam.

A good fun spot for a few entertaining drinks to escape the heat of the city in the summer. The nuts and nougat vodka is so good it’s a must taste!! The experience itself is quite short but you can stick around in the main bar after.

This was a super fun experience,I’m honestly so glad I did it.Great value for money,The staff were really enthusiastic and that really set the mood for me.They provide coats and gloves before you enter.I had the whipped cream and Nutella vodka shots and I have never tasted anything as good as that in my life.Great photo opportunities,A very memorable experience overall.

  • 3/5 John P. 1 year ago on Google
Decent overall experience, felt a bit pushed and squashed in the first bar area and drinks felt watered down or weak especially if you want more they are €9.50 each. The staff member in charge of the experience was very into the scene and very fun and interactive. The actual ice bar was a little hyped up for what it was. I expected more interaction on the exploration explained at the beginning but was stopped as soon as entered and magic sorta drifted away, was unsure how long we was supposed to stay inside. Ended up leaving after two drinks and walking out to somewhere else.

Very unique experience in Amsterdam. You need to book your place in advance on their website. It’s approx 26 euro for 1 person. You’ll receive three tokens you can use for drinks (included in the price). They provide jackets and gloves that you may use. I would definitely recommend because it’s really cold (-9 degree C)
