The venue was beautiful and nicely laid out with a front and back entrance. There is a stunning bottled wall which is super impactful, with stunning upholstery and Decor. The venue had a moderate price on food and drink, this place had a great atmosphere and background music. I think this place would really benefit from having live music. The food was tasty and delicious which is why it's got 3 stars with the venue and the host when he was with us being being accommodating. The only feedback I have is there wasn't enough waiters/waitresses. They were super busy and not enough of them to meet demand, special on the floor and behind the bar, we waiting for two lots of drinks up to 20/30 min wait, this was after leaving our table and asking to be served on a number of occasions. Food took 45min to get to the table. We was so ready to spend more money but they wasn't very accommodating on checking up on if we wanted top ups so sadly we went elsewhere to spend out money. But the tall Italian waiter was super friendly and very apologetic and when he was with us he was super chatty and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. I'd highly recommend the Dante Burger. The first one I ordered was not cooked properly and was thus served cold and undergone. I informed the staff and it was immediately taken away no questions asked. But the best part is, I didn't even have to wait 2 minutes and a while new, freshly prepared burger was at my table. This one was absolutely amazing, the taste and quality were absolutely phenomenal. Amazing. We were a party of three and the other 2 both had pizzas, which they enjoyed and finished themselves. A great evening out without any drama and a great vibe with music and an easy going feel. The service was also great, they were busy, but we never had to wait ages to get a server's attention and the food came out quickly. They do get quite busy in the evening around 7-8, so it may be best to make a reservation. PS. What makes this even more impressive was that the restaurant was packed to capacity.

The food was delicious. Couldn’t have ask for better on a rainy day. The atmosphere is nice and the tiramisu is to die for.

The place is really nice, but it took them 3 hours to hace a couple of starters ready and the main dishes. And then they wanted us to hurry the local as they wanted to close. And the 75% of the things that we ordered, we had to cancel them as they run out of those dishes at 21:00 already. The food was not bad, but it won't be a place that I will recommend

The restaurant is located is a very central location with many other stores around. It has two “fronts” and you can choose if you prefer the canal or the busy streets. It’s very beautifully decorated and rationally priced given the location. If you are around worth to check the menu. Random note, the one who decided to put the kitchen on top floor and have the staff waking up and down with orders deserves the “boss of the year #not” award. I felt the pain by even watching them working

Never order the steak in the Dante. it’s very hard to cut and eat. And it cost 23.5 euro…,it definitely doesn’t have the value. I’m very upset to have this terrible experience in the Amsterdam.

Food, service and atmosphere… everything was nice🥰 I will definitely visit again. We had some cocktails and food, they were all so so so good… shrimps were so fresh, I personally really loved the pasta, and my bf also liked his pizza and the cocktails!! Definitely recommend!

I Don't Unserstand Most of the negative Reviews. We were four people, ordered 2 Pizzas and 1 Pasta dish. Got our Drinks and the food in a normal time, even tough the Restaurant was pretty stuffed with guests. Would Go Here again!

It's a nice place to stay for dinner with friends, if your friends have a very good salary The food is nice, but maybe for this money you expect more tasty Stuff is very welcome. Maybe the music could be calmer to hold the atmosphere of the place

Dante's have a fantastic menu that is mouth watering and attractive to read. Not only does the food read well, it also tastes just as great. Highly recommend this as a 'must visit' if looking for somewhere with a great taste! Price reflects the service and the food presented. Alcohol is on the strong side - no complaints!

Lovely experience at Dante’s. Staff is very friendly and helpful, shout out to Cristian and Evert! We got some cocktails who were very nice and refreshing. We got pasta and steak, we had no leftovers because it was so good!

Food was good. Service was excellent. Atmosphere super cozy. I would recommend they switch to cloth napkins. I would come back again.

We had lunch at Dante, which was excellent. The portions are generous, and there are numerous meals to choose from. The staff was friendly, the cocktails were delicious, and the setting was lovely and cozy. I highly recommend that you visit Dante! :)

I went here for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday night and we had such a great experience! The staff were super friendly and attentive, the cocktails and food was truly amazing and the overall experience was great. I loved the cozy atmosphere in the restaurant, especially the beautiful bar where I would definitely come over for just drinks in the future! Highly recommend this restaurant, make sure to have a reservation since it seems to be quite popular!

We waited for over an hour for our food and coffee to come ..let alone a waiter.. it was so busy and they had lack of staff. Food wasn't so great and took alot of time to make .. the location of the place is nice since its next to the canal.

The sweetest staff my friend and I received flowers from the staff on Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice especially the bar. The food was amazing and the bread with the octopus tasted very fresh. The pasta with the calamari was very nice they also put a lot of calamari in it it was very tasty. I loved the pizza it was thin and very airy. The pizza really tasted traditional. The restaurant is very safe restaurant for both families, dates or just an outing. Everything was very reasonable priced and the location is very good central Amsterdam

It’s a beautiful restaurant located in a nice area, with a really welcoming service. The food though was a little bit disappointing, our gnocchi were missing its Italian taste, and the octopus salad was very basic, although fresh and big.

Such a nice place and the kindest sincere and enthousiastic staff!! We had so much interaction and jokes whilest continuesly being served with great food en cool drinks. And they loved having the kids there. Location gives a great bit more relaxed impression of amsterdam in the back next to the canal, behind the main street, locals and tourist passing by, on the boat, bike, car, scooter, foot. And a bit more busy in the front Spuistraat. And to tip it of they heard we were celebrating a fresh wedding and without asking they came with sweets and treats and because of the chemistry they even tipped is of with a special homemade passionfruitshot. Together we celebrated and toasted love. Souf, greekgirl, frenchmen with wooden bo-ti, the owner, and his oef so pretty and sweet daughter, and great helping son in law, the chefs. Great end of the day!

The staff is very rude! You almost need to go and prepare your own drink and food. The food is average and the drinks have nothing extraordinary. I won’t return, and I would definitely not recommend this place

The pizzas were good, salad and steak were ok. Employees were kind and helpful. All that considered, it was not worth waiting 2 hours for our food to be served. A group of 10 people got served 2x faster than we did for some reason, fun (we were 4)

The venue look gorgeous and good location. Staff were quite nice.The food was little let down. My Gamberi e calamari was more pasta than shrimp and the calamari was SUPER chevy (not in a good way and I know the are supposed to be a little tough). And we hoped the Dante Inferno-pizza to be spicy but it wasn't. I would still give it another try.

We tucked in to Dante Kitchen & Bar after getting caught in a rainstorm. Thankfully the food was excellent! The servers were friendly and attentive. It was the first time we had bitterballen and it was so good that we did not get it on the rest of our trip because we knew nothing else would live up to theirs! The drinks were a bit overpriced and slightly missed the mark on being balanced but they weren't terrible.

We sat outside for over 30 minutes and didn’t even get a menu card. The waiters ignored us and it’s clearly not a priority to them to treat their costumers well. We went to the restaurant next to it and got served by a very nice, humerus waiter immediately.

We waited for an hour for our food and the burger was overcooked - dry and hard. It's huge restaurant with tiny kitchen and they can't possibly serve all the people on time and with good quality. The waiter was very nice and the location is great, but that's it.

Really cozy restaurant, we had lunch here. I ate so much, I’m known for a small eater, but here I had no stop. I love bread and I love pasta. Everything was so good. Good service, really good food and cosy environment!

The experience at Dante starts with amazing interior, then you are greeted by friendly staff. The menu is diverse, there’s something for everyone. I personally loved cocktails selection (both classic and signature ones). The tenderloin we got was great but the swordfish pasta was a little dry to my taste hence the 4 stars. Otherwise great place with a great location!

I had a good experience! I loved the cocktail menu, especially the signature cocktails. I went for the “Be My Lover” cocktail and it was presented to me with the whole smoke show thingy, absolutely stunning (you can ask the bartenders for this which is so much fun!). I think the bartender was an incredibly lovely person and he was very passionate about making cocktails, the other signature cocktails also sounded amazing so would definitely recommend to pick one of those! The food was good! I had the octopus carpaccio, never had heard of it before and it tasted nice! I also ate the shrimp pasta, which was nice but the shrimps didn’t have a nice bite to be honest they were a little too soft for me but maybe that’s just personal :). Anyway, I liked the people working here. So had a good time! (And again; loveee the cocktails!)
