Stumbled on this place on a pub crawl. What a blast! Owner and bartender were sweet and attentive. Lots of locals and they talk to you. Music was upbeat pop and great fun as people sang along and danced. There is a tiny dance floor inside and a nice sidewalk cafe to smoke on. The owners dog sat on the bar and I got to pet him/her. So sweet and it felt like home! Friendly place. Great service. Upbeat.

Epic playlist, cozy, and very attentive staff. During several moments, the entire place was staffed by one person (besides the cook, I imagine) and he handled the crowd in a very efficient way. We enjoyed the place so much, we ended up switching tables throughout the course of the night and by the end of the evening truly felt as though we were home.

The most fun I had during our Amsterdam stay. We came around midnight, or maybe past midnight, on a Saturday night. It looked quiet on the outside, like a small chilled pub, so we said 'let's have a drink and head somewhere else'. When we entered, we realized we were wrong. The place is small but it was packed, with music and people dancing and having a blast. We stayed until almost closing time. Service was friendly and vibes were amazing, it was full of locals and we danced to classic pop tunes and to some Dutch songs we never heard off. Super fun.

The place is like no other , they stay open for a bit longer than other places . the staff are always happy to help, and the ambience is very good.

The host is the highlight of this cafe. Not just friendly & courteous. She made us feel like we arrived at the long lost family in Nederland - she gave us complimentary cheese to tase with our Sauvignon Blanc & a toasted ham & cheese sandwich. Inexpensive menu options. Our experience was just flawless, while overlooking the harbor & Amsterdam train station. Quirky & odd decor that’s weirdly cool. Try the Fruity bier if you’re a fan if ciders.

So much Fun!!!! Great staff, great music and yummy cocktails, and shots named 'apple pie'! Very friendly atmosphere and super easy to make new friends in there! Love it!

Such a nice spot away from the madness of Centraal. You can enjoy some nice beers or traditional Dutch snacks! I also made some new friends. Will definitely be back here!! :)

What a gem. A friend of a friend is local and she said she would meet us here last Sunday night. What a recommendation. Really cool authentic Dutch bar. Some of the locals told me that "I found Amsterdam in Amsterdam, and I was privileged to be where tourists don't normally go."

Fabulous place, staff are so friendly and helpful. When it comes to 'Oh, which beer should I try'. You can sample the lot, and they have some wicked local beers.

Absolutely brilliant bar! My boyfriend went three years ago and wanted to show me it. Had a fantastic evening, the atmosphere is brilliant the staff are lovely! They even have a little dog!

Empty when we entered (2pm) staff very friendly and lots of local draft beer. Stopped on the way to our coach home so only stayed for 1 drink. Will definitely return if I go back to Amsterdam

Had an extraordinary afternoon at cafe Pollux. Such a cozy and welcoming place with a great staff and clientele! The owner was hilarious and the others in the bar made us feel like we were locals! Can’t recommend enough as we’ve been traveling for a couple of months and really needed some tlc…oh and can’t forget that the beer was great as well :-)!!

Nice lively place. Was a bit quiet initially but grew on us as it got darker outside 🎊. Super friendly and nice staff. Beautiful and unique interior. Super cozy. No food available late night.

Best pub we visited in Amsterdam. Great staff, great music, great dancing and such a friendly crowd. Made to feel so welcome and got to know such nice people.

Exceptional drinks and amazing ladies that work behind the bar. Burger is fantastic and a steal at 6$ - sit outside for a great view of the canals. Will definitely be back!
