Great spot with friendly staff and finger-linking good chicken and spare-rips. The Bratwurst is a bit lagging but this have no impact on the overall rating. Highly recommend this place.

Great selection of beers. Knowledgeable staff. Beers are properly stored, but due to that served colder than their ideal serving temperature. Take some time to let your beverage warm up to the recommended drinking temperature. Good selection of finger food and small dishes. They do accept credit cards.

Stopped in for a beer in late November, cold and rainy. The patio is covered and the heaters are over each table. The beer and bitterballen were both delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're on this side of Amsterdam

One of the best pubs in Oost for me. It’s very lively there, good selection of beers and tasty food. Burgers I had (chicken and beef) were very good. The stuff is always in good mood. I like coming back to this place.

Big beer garden with extra seating inside. The meat was incredible and the portions large - the rib meat fell of their bones - perfectly cooked. Great beer selection too including non-alcoholic ones

We have been going to De Biertuin almost weekly. Unfortunately we dont see the same staff, buy when we go we always have a very delicious meal. The menu is the type of menu that you want yo try everything. The beer selection is great and service is usually super fast. Staff is friendly ( not over the top) but we have no complains so far. We will be bringing our visitors there for sure. The Ribs are really really delicious.

Great service, a lot of interesting options for food and beers. The fried halloumi was delicious with some red pepper and sauce. The atmosphere outside is great when it’s a good weather, not loud event with a lot of people. We’ve 2 times in Amsterdam and both of them we went to De Biertuin East.

This was one of the best pubs I’ve ever been in. It has amazing barfood, and a massive selection of beers.

Great location just off oosterpark. Nice beer list and good god do they know what to do with a chicken. Tried the roast chicken and chicken burger and both were 10/10, no notes. Side Caesar salad was also great, with lots of anchovies and cheese and croutons. Forgot to photograph the food because it was so gorgeous it needed to de eaten IMMEDIATELY so here’s a photo of a beer ✌🏼

Great spot to have a drink and chill with friends. If you are getting snacks after 12 am make sure to order the vlammetjes (spicy beef pockets look like envelopes) and kaastengels (fried cheesesticks).

Bear cider was tasty, I had the loaded potato which was delicious and a good size but you only got about 40 grams of pulled chicken. Definitely needed a lot more. Was served swiftly and the staff were very friendly.

Had a couple of small plates to share and the chicken was fantastic. Next time in amsterdam will be visiting to eat fully for sure! Great selection of craft beers also

Awesome place with a huge variety of biers. It's a local place, which is a bit outside of the centre and far from the tourist crowd. Burgers are okay, but it is better not to try the chicken burger. Prices are OK, totally normal in Amsterdam.

Great little bier garden in AMS, highly recommend the schnitzel. Fantastic variety of beers and a great atmosphere. Super nice for the fact that their kitchen is open on a Sunday evening. Good time all around! Go if you are hungry and in the area :)

This place is always full! Regardless of the day. Probably because they have a great beer selection, and the food is quick and of quality. The No.9 tram takes you straight there. Open until 3am on weekends! Great place to go for a session with friends

Turned my friend and I away saying too full. Two girls came behind us, smiled at the barman and they were let in, despite being told there was no space, they smiled and still got in.

This is my first time visiting Amsterdam and I am grateful I am staying right across from it at my hostel. My friend recommended this place and I was blown away with how delicious the food was. The staff were very nice and always checking up on us.

Absolutely great pub! Vast variety of beers to taste, delicious food (the French fries ❤️), very nice waiters and cozy atmosphere. We were on a 4-day trip in Amsterdam and we had dinner at this pub twice because it was just too good. They don't take reservations, so I'd suggest showing up at 6pm more or less, before it gets too crowded.

Met a few people at a local brewery and tagged along to this place for dinner. The food hit the spot and the beer selection wasn't too bad either. Would definitely recommend.

Love to go for drinks with friends here. Especially outside it’s nice and cozy. Biertuin (Beer garden - literally translated) has a great variety of beers. Definitely recommend to go here. The burger are also awesome here!

My favorite beer garden in Oost. Large selection of beers on tap or by the can/bottle. Always full with happy people enjoying a drink and a bite. Big tables to accommodate big groups or offer roomy sitting for a couple. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Oosterpark or Tropenmuseum. Don’t forget the bitterballen 😉

The Beer was good but despite the reviews I felt the food lacking. I have to say that I am from NYC so perhaps I'm biased about my ribs and burgers so take that for what it's worth. The burger was on par with Shake Shack but with with a very fine grind of beef and a mayo based sauce that presented nothing special. I have no idea why the grind was so fine for the burger and I don't know why that is so prevalent here but the grind was so fine that the texture is off putting. The ribs were the standard Asian inspired sticky variety that seems to be the thing here and they too left much to be desired; I really don't get the BBQ here but maybe that's just me. The chicken was fresh but over done and dry and the side of mac n cheese was a case of trying to reinvent the wheel. It was like a fried egg roll with mac n cheese inside and a strangely overpowering dipping sauce, I did not like this at all. The sweet potato fries were very good and the onion rings were standard. The service was really good with an attentive wait staff and prompt service. If you're into local beer then by all means visit but if you want more than pedestrian bar level bites, local ingredients or not, stay away.

Their burgers are exceptional! We had a perfect night there: staff was nice and super organised, the atmosphere created was warm and welcoming. Portions of food were perfect for the price paid. Absolutely recommended!

Not like every other place: very big and great beer menu, we got a burger each (2 people) and a small plate of nachos (they are huge), the food was really good overall. Perfect, kind service! Will come back.

Nice place, we got to stay on the terrace in the sun. The staff was welcoming, however the food was really not great. We ordered some mac n cheese, the sauce was basically water with a bit of cheddar cheese on top. We also got a schnizel and half chicken, expecting that they would come with something on the side, a bit of salad, some potatoes, but no, they came simple and they were quite dry. So I would recommend this location mostly for drinks, not for food.
