👍👍 Very authentic pub, quite English, a wide range of beers on tap (12 different craft beers), the personnel and the owner are very friendly and helpful. Basically a scam/tourist trap. No menu is provided when you ask for one, only to be charged 17 eur for 2 very mainstream beers (almost 3 times more than in a regular pub).

Tourist trap. I've been on vacation for 3 months. It is not a budget problem for me. Maybe you should accept the criticism of many customers around here and improve, unless they want to continue cheating people without announcing the prices. I repeat, 3 months of vacation, clearly your prices do not make a difference to me, I just do not like scammers. Try to be humble and stop responding arrogantly to customers, there is still time to be a better person, maybe you needed a little affection, hugs.

Popped in for a quick drink and to warm up a little. Very cosy inside with not a lot of space, which can be a blessing or a curse. For me and my partner it was a blessing to get out of big crowds for a while. She has a glüewein (mulled wine) and I had Delirium's Christmas beer. Great place to sit in the window and people watch while listening to the good music they had playing too.

They didn't bring us a menu, the waiter came and recommended one local beer. We ordered 2 and only with the bill we found out that we have to pay 18 euros for 2 beers! not recommended.

Really BAD EXPERIENCE. 4€ for a tea that you can prepare at home with a teabag from Lidl and 4€ for a small cappuccino. Those prices are not the prices in Amsterdam, you have another coffee shop in the same street for 2€. They don't have menu and they don't show their prices anywhere. I don't recommend at all.

A great down to earth little bar right in the heart of central Amsterdam. I had the pleasure of this being my local when I was in town. The staff are friendly and the beer is good, I totally recommend it.

Had a wine there before catching the train and the waiter was very friendly. I still find 6€ for a wine a bit overpriced but it was a delicious Pinot Grigio.

Cozy and small little bar, gets you away from the hustle and bustle of shopping and walking around. Beer was ok price was absolutely shocking so expensive for a poor beer.

So, no food except a cheese or Sausage platter. But I’m here for the beer and the atmosphere. Quaint and dimly lit setting. A great moody, art deco vibe with some cozy seating and great taps!

First stop in Amsterdam! There is a pancake shop across the street where our bartender brought us our food. Amazing! The Gladjanus is great!

My pregnant wife came here asking to use the bathroom and the blonde lady working there instantly said if we don't buy alcoholic beverages we cannot use the bathroom. Very rude lady and careless of a pregnant lady's needs. Offering poison to top it off? Absolutely disgraceful.

The most expensive beer I had in my life. No menu on the tables. So, don't order before check the prices. At least, they allowed me to order some food from another place. Friendly staff.

We were looking for a nice spot to get a beer and some rest. There was a free table outside so we got a seat, and ended up staying for 4.5 hours. The service was excellent, the beer was cold, the cheese and meat plates were delicious and the location is perfect. We also came back the next day and spent another 4 hours here. Because it was my mom's birthday we even got a free shot of limoncello. I can totally recommend this place!

My wife was breastfeeding. We ordered one still water but we had to order two. We were not allowed to breastfeed here. 🤬😡🥵 and when she served the water she kicked the garbage away onto the street. Never ever again.

I had this place (Café Van Beeren, super close to Damrak) as my watering hole every day during my travel to Amsterdam last week, the tables outside are usually in the shade and the personel is super welcoming and nice. Great for having a few beers and a smoke or two in the afternoon! 10 stars! /Swedish white hoodie guy

I spend 5€ on a hot chocolate. Drank it within 10 minutes waited out the rain and just got out of there. Waitress didnt seem interested and not friendly. Chocolate was alright but definitely not worth my time and money

Seems to be a tourist trap (No Menu)! I never had such a short and unfriendly experience! There seems to be no Menu. When I friendly asked for it, the barkeeper got so unfriendly and annoyed, almost aggressive, and walked away with the sentence that „he is busy right now“ (there were like 8-9people in the cafe). We immediately left.

8 euro pints. Rude staff. Just look at the response from the owner. Stating facts are complaints to them. I highly recommend visiting any of the bars on Warmoesstraat just on the other side of Damrak. Better prices and vibes.

Excellent place, close to the Amsterdam Centraal Station. The bartender was also really friendly and she spoke in English and Spanish. The Place also had great music selection. Highly recommended.

Nicely furnitured little bar. Feels like a small Irish Pub. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly owner. You can sit outside as well although its just inbetween two buildings.

👍 A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.
