I’m a bit conflicted when I have to give this a rating. But I’ll just try explaining. Obviously the location is great if you manage to get a nice spot. We were lucky that a table on the front row just freed up, so that we could take that one. We were sitting very nicely in the sun along the water. Great! However, the chances of this happening are slim. And all the spots that aren’t along the water and in the sun… Are basically just spots under a parking garage. To be honest, at the Waterkant you either have a great spot, or a very bad one. The drinks are good, they get a point there. Food and snacks however are not great. We had a burger and fries. The burger was good, but the fries were clammy, I think they didn’t get enough time in the fryer. I don’t want to be that guy to complain about pricing.. But considering that they only offer self-service, and that the fries were quite clammy, the prices are a bit steep. If you want to grab some drinks, I would recommend checking if there’s a nice table available, and leave if there isn’t. Otherwise, it is just a terrace below a parking garage with barely any service and pricey snacks & drinks.

Nice place to grab a drink. There are plenty of people, especially during sunny days, but the vibe is worth it. The prices are ok, you should come here with friends and take the large Heineken which is just 19€. Also the location is pretty nice, you can chill on the canal or at the tables inside with the music (usually reggaeton). I'll come here more often now!

I was here twice over the summer. It's a very vibrant place with a great atmosphere. I would say 30 percent of their sitting is in doors and the rest outdoors. I bought a couple of drinks and some food and enjoyed the time there chatting with a friend. I'd best describe it as an open, vibrant, bar with good music and different stalls for food. With semi casual style to everything. I would definitely recommend it as a nice meet up spot for friends, dates and others just be prepared to either potentially wait for a table or squeeze in with another group somewhere. I don't know if they have a booking system. . Late/night it turns into more of a party vibe but it's very chill.

Food was good, but be aware that you will not be able to sit anywhere together if you are a group larger than 4. Even with 5 of us from the same household we had to sit either side of a large screen, totally understandable- if from different households. One member of staff kindly removed it so we could see and speak to each other, only for another to put it back 5 minutes later. Ironic considering the lack of social distancing at the bar and a solitary hand sanitiser in the whole place. It’s a shame that lack of common sense tarnished an otherwise great spot.
