The best place to go for live music in Amsterdam. They are open 7 days a week and have always nice bands playing. The place is just the right size. Always with a great mix of people from all sides of the world. Locals, expats, tourists, always easy to mingle and have a small talk. If you manage to get there before 10.30pm you get in for free. Otherwise the fee is 5 euros and it pays for the band.

Jazz and Blues Venue, could be one of European finest stages. Staff always has a smile and are speedy in service, the location has an entrance fee but are open till late night. A must visit in the local Amsterdam jazz scene.

We went here on Sunday for R&B night and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of music being played. They were truly talented, and the venue had excellent sound. The drinks were good and the bar was attentive. I highly recommend this for a casual late night out with live music.

Cool, live music venue in the heart of Amsterdam. Was not too busy when we arrived just after 10pm but soon filled up. Dancing is encouraged in front of the stage, with a long bar that runs along the side wall for easy access. Drinks a little on the pricey side to cater for the tourist traffic. The band in the night was lively and got the crowd going. Good night out. Entrance fee was €7 per person.

Nice pub for some live music, passing the night with friends while drinking and chatting. The barmen are kind. Prices line up with the rest of the pubs. The live music i saw was very good, a skilful band playing some covers.

Lovely little venue, friendly staff from the door to the bar, fantastic music and good vibe.

You must visit this place if you are in Amsterdam. We first came 19 years ago and new that we'd be back. Nowadays its 5 euros entry fee but the music is well worth it. A friendly atmosphere. Quite a small venue, I imagine all live music is top notch. Toilets are very clean!! Highly recommend this place!

Great music and the people are nice. However I went there got a bit tipsy and asked the bouncer for a high five. He then kicked me out and pushed me to the ground. He started becoming aggressive after i was just asking to go get my jacket. He kept saying “lalalal” as if he's a toddler who does not want to listen. I tried to go get my jacket again and was thrown on the ground again. I had a lot of fun but the bouncers need to relax because i dont think a 19yold girl is a threat and deserves to be pushed to the ground for trying to give a high five lol. Ego is too high for no reason.

Increadible vibe and very nice unique crowd. Increadible live music till 5 am. Friendly staff. Not sure but I think you must be introduced by someone to get in. Small fee on the entrace. One of my fav. In Amsterdam so far

Good music, great bar. Cocktails were excellent and the band was kicking. I'll be returning on my next trip.

On Monday's you have jam sessions, do if you can sing or play an instrument you're welcome to join. The live music start at 11pm. All the other days there are different bands performing, from jazz to rock to Latin vibes you can find it here.

I'm really undecided between 3 or 4 stars.. The live music band and the music afterwards were great! but unfortunately the mixed drinks were bad, we ended up just having some beers and the only bathroom in there was discussing, right next to the bar, it stunk!

We found ourselves in this small cozy bar by chance, but got a lot of fun! The fee is meager - 5 euros, and the musicians are laid out like at big concerts! Highly recommend! Great staff ☺️ Really good drinks and awesome atmosphere.

Great place to have fun until late night/an early morning. Live music, friendly staff and cosy place. An entry fee is just €7. Definitely we will come back if we visit Amsterdam again.

I enjoyed the music and atmosphere. From the friendly doormen to the energetic bartenders, everyone appeared truly interested in making sure every customer had a wonderful time.

Quiet night but excellent band.

Looked for live music in Amsterdam and found this place. Didn't know what to expect but it was really great. Entry was 5€ and worth it, although the drinks are expensive, 6.50€ for a small cider. The Blues musician (Lamar Chase) that gave a concert on that day was amazing!!

This is a great little live music venue in the heart of Leidseplein. It's small but never feels overly crowded. The sound in the venue is really well managed - they've absolutely nailed the balance and volume for the size of the venue, it's never "blast your head off loud". It's €5 to get in and drinks are average price for the location. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I used to like coming here but it seems like every time I go now there’s a strange crowd. I’ve had a man grope me and he wouldn’t leave me alone. Although I pushed him off on multiple occasions. And another time, another guy who was harassing my bf to show explicit photos of me. And the other night I don’t even dare say what else happened. It’s so upsetting. But I don’t ever want to come back. The music is really nice but I’d stick with cafe alto from now on. It’s unfortunate because I love funk and soul but it really attracts the wrong kind of crowd. :/

Nice vibe and jazz music every night. It got a relatively bigger pool for dancing on this street.

An amazing little place in which you can find good rock blues music, live playing and with different bands every night from 23:00 to 4:00 and enjoy drinks and beer all over the night! Absolutely recommend, loved it!

This late night joint is great. Friendly staff and excellent musicians come and play with others in a jovial jam night on Mondays. I heard the gigs on other nights are really cool too. The barman and barlady are very nice

World famous live music venue.

Brilliant ambiance and always amazing performances. The blues, rock, and soul is in the very walls. The drinks are pretty decent too 👍. I've been coming here for a couple years and it's always worth it for the live music.

Rude bouncer at entrance. The bar was empty and he answered every question sarcastically. Being polite and friendly is the bare minimum to deal with Public and this guy was unable to deliver. There are better clubs around where you can have a great time. Don't give your money to who doesn't deserve.

"I wouldn't even give them one star! From New Orleans, LA, they call themselves the Bourbon Street Bar, trying to proclaim themselves after the iconic place. But let me tell you, the experience was far from welcoming. These were the most unwelcoming people I have ever encountered. We were so excited to visit this place, but our satisfaction quickly turned into disappointment. The staff was incredibly rude, beyond belief. Their behavior was completely uncharacteristic of the vibrant and friendly spirit that New Orleans is known for. Take it from a native, this place does not live up to the true essence of New Orleans."
