After entering the establishment to sample their liquor, I was assisted by a friendly and accommodating gentleman who provided me with five exceptional bottles of liqueurs. He patiently explained the various types available, including both sweet and unsweetened liqueurs, as well as gin and other options. I highly recommend giving them a try.

We took the free tour on our first day and the guide told us this is the place for a good Dutch drinking liquor and spirits They have a really big variety of home made drinks, preferably drinking them next to a beer. So that's what we did

A great shop and really kind and hospitable staff. Tried a number of drinks and felt very welcomed as a tourist. Would definitely return.

Enjoyed our visit here. Only sampled one of the ginevers because we all liked the first we chose. Had we realised, we could have sampled more flavours before settling for a full glass. A really character full old bar that was really busy on the Sunday afternoon we visited

It's been awhile since I've done a hand stand, but this was a great little experience! Everything we tried was great, but I recommend the Boterbabbelaar. It tastes like a Werther's Original.

Wonderful tasting room for Genever and many flavors of dutch liquors. The staff is super friendly and happy to share knowledge of the liquors and the city. Be sure to remember these liquors are meant to be sipped with a side of beer and not taken as a shot. The first sip is taken with a bow to the full tulip glass without picking it up. Try the salty licorice flavor if you like licorice candies it is unique and delicious!

Wow! If you're ever in Amsterdam and looking for an unforgettable drinks experience, you've got to check out this place. Seriously, it's hands down the best shots experience I've ever had. The variety of liquors and flavors is out of this world. The atmosphere is super chill, just perfect for enjoying some drinks with friends. What really made it special though was the staff. They took the time to walk us through all their drinks, explaining each one and even letting us taste a few before we made our choices. It was such a fun and memorable experience thanks to them!

Hands down, the best shots experience in Amsterdam! You get to savor a variety of liquors and create your preferred combination. The atmosphere is a super casual. While all the bartenders are fantastic, a special shoutout goes to Rubi—she's an absolute gem!

A great local product and local experience. The people working there know everything there is to know about their products. They will know exactly what to make you try. The place by itself is gorgeous and typical of Amsterdam. Really central as well. A lot of nice food and bar options nearby to make it a night to remember. Highly recommend

This little tasting room/bar was a nice experience. Dutch wines and in particular these brandy wine liquores were a nice delight and treat after a long day of touring and pre dinner drink. We had the passion fruit blend which was 27% ABV and apple brandy wine which was 20% ABV and both were sweet with a nice kick on the back end. Dangerous to drink if you’re not careful with your intake. They also have a couple of beers on draft from local breweries, my favorite Oedipus was on tap. This is a nice place to stop for a drink or two.

Very cute little tasting bar for jenever and an assortment of never ending flavors of dutch liquors. The staff is very informative and also part of the tasting experience. You'll get the chance to try several flavors, while listening to some stories, before deciding on which one to drink later. All served in tulip shot glasses, but to be savored, not drank as a shot. Staff also get cheeky and ask for a tip before you pay.

One must visit this place when visiting Amsterdam. One the best tasting experience that you can have. The staff is really patient with travellers explaining them all about the history and types of liquor. One can also go next door to their store and just pick up what they want. But just the whole experience of being here in this historical bar is brilliant

I visited this place for the second time and it’s always a very pleasant experience. A wide choice of different liquores, funny way of pouring and drinking them. Fockink good.

100% the greatest local experience! The liquor is amazing, but the atmosphere inside gives it additional flavor!

Lots of history, charm and ambiance in this little place. The bartenders are knowledgeable and will guide you on the path to finding the right choice for you, with tastings of jenever, liquers and brandy wines.

Unique liqueur tasting room. It has a history of +300 years. Also there are some interesting house rules. I tried 4 different tastes and my favorites are lemon and passion.

Very cosy place with a great variety of liquors (and not only). Returning here again and again, enjoying every time. There's a store inside where you can buy a bottle after tasting.

Very fun experience to try their unique liquors. The people in the counter were very nice and really enjoying having conversations with the tourists trying their products. The place is also very interesting and beautiful from the inside, you can certainly see their long tradition.

As fate would have it, we went on a canal tour and the gentleman taking tickets recommended we stop here afterward. What a great experience. After a short wait, the man behind the counter educated us on the ins and outs of genever and how to drink from the glass (they fill it all the way to the top!). Great guy who is obviously passionate about the craft. We ordered a typical version and one infused with spices that tasted like Christmas. Can’t wait to come back to Amsterdam and visit this place again.

great genever tasting room on a quiet off-street with outdoor seating. passionate, knowledgeable staff elevate the experience to the next level, telling the story of how genever came to be and some tricky waters of its terminology. if you’ve never had genever, this should be your first stop.

They have a ton a different flavours. We tried the chocolate and the coffee they both tasted so good. Liked the place very much but the never expected a bartender asking for a tip in such a reputable place. He is the first person to ask a tip in Europe

Must visit when in Amsterdam! This Distillery is full of charm, history and ambiance! Loved it, and can't wait to go back! Line was out the door on a Saturday evening, but went pretty quick. Definitely, worth the wait! 🙌

Been coming to this old bar for years and never disappointed. A great range of Genevers and liqueurs as well as beer. My favourite is the Kersen brandy wine! Make sure you slurp your first mouthful. Really friendly and helpful staff too. Does get busy and the bar is small so you may end up standing / sitting at the pavement which is no problem. Great that mobile phones are not allowed to be used in the building 😀 Although the establishment closes at 9pm last orders is usually around 8.40pm

Truly a one of a kind place. Came here with some friends while visiting the city and we had a tasting. The bartender was very friendly and fun to talk to, and he had a lot of information to share about the history of the distillery and their products. If I’m ever in Amsterdam again, I’ll certainly be coming back here

A must visit when in Amsterdam. The staff are really helpful and the drinks are all pretty amazing. I’d recommend the salt liquorice flavoured liquor. Also worth popping in to see the celebrated Hans.

Staff were great in finding what would go down best with you from the vast array of drink available. Real old style bar. Must do if in Amsterdam.
