The restaurant is located inside an hotel. The meat is very good, but the service is slow, even when the restaurant is not in full capacity. The place itself looks very good and inviting. I recommend to book in advance.

Amazing restaurant. We were lucky to have tried it while we stay at the W hotel this time. And we will come back again even if we didn't stay at W. They have a great selection of age beef, and the service is just outstanding.

Adjectives and superlatives are needed to describe this experience. From the moment you walk in, you know you're in for an incredible experience. The staff is very helpful and the food is incredible. We came from the airport on a long layover just to enjoy their breakfast buffet experience and share it with our daughters. We first enjoyed it in 2018 and I have been back multiple times over the years never losing my sense of awe and enjoyment. If you are in the area, treat yourself to a delight with a dizzying array of options and perfectly cooked foods. Nature stuff to get the French press coffee to start your day off strong. A++, I will be back.

To be honest, besides the view and the interior of this place we were really disappointed. The restaurant was under staff, which result to less friendly waiters. The meat that we ordered not medium but almost well done. I mentioned this to the waiter and he went to the chef with it and come back with “the chef said the meat is perfectly medium” while the meat was so dry and not juicy at all. Only in the middle part there was a bit of redness but 70% are well done.. RATE: 3/10 The fish for main dish was also very dry, my friend couldn’t finish more than half of it. RATE: 4/10. The lobster was also not that good, my friend rate 6/10. I mean for a peace of meat which was more than €100,- I was expecting a better service and meat. The starters was fine: rate 7/10. My friend ordered cheese cake for dessert and she rate 7/10. Conclusions: I won’t recommend to have dinner here. But it’s a nice place for drinks, hence they do have nice cocktails. RATE 8/10. The service and quality is a bit overpriced compared to what you get. However the view is lovely.

Honestly the best steak in Amsterdam. We ordered Tomahawk and Porterhouse Steak rare and oh boy, WOW. The meat was perfectly cooked, so tender, juicy, huge, had an amazing crust outside, seasoned with big salt flakes, and fat that melted in your mouth. I miss this steak so much and I'm crying as I'm writing this review reliving the memories of this beautiful steak. On top of the meats, the atmosphere in this place is incredible! It could be a bit loud but it was perfect for me to concentrate on my steaks! Ha! Oh and all the staffs in the restaurant are amazingly nice and smartly kind.

Centrally located restaurant with a luxurious decoration, very beautiful terrace and very tasty dishes! The grilled Lobster and the squid with smoked paprika were amazing. Also the aged steak was very tasty!!!

Honestly very good food and nice atmosphere. If you wanna grab some decent food with variety also of you are a big group of people they have quite well structured set menu. Compliments to the chef! Service could’ve been faster but the place was packed and they still managed quite well. Do Recommend! P.s. wanted to upload more photos but was busy eating :)

Great experience. We booked a seat at Chefs counter and received a wonderful treatment by our seat manager. All the staff was polite, quick, and warm. Chef had a sharp mind and orchestrated the kitchen while also answering our questions. We ordered Roasted Leek, spicy plate, roast beef carpaccio, mrs Porter, and coconut dessert. Just enough to taste the menu for 2 people. Suggested wine fit great to the menu. Wonderful first-time visit to Mr.Porter. Definitely coming back.

This was our last dinner before lockdown. It was very good! I loved the ribeye steak, mac and cheese and lobster! The yellow tail starter was alright, it was a bit too sour for my preference. The service was amazing! I hope to come back soon!

Lovely restaurant inside the W Exchange building in Amsterdam. Difficult to get a booking but my husband and I stayed at the hotel so was able to get a table on the last night of our stay. Excellent waiting service, really enjoyed all the food and ambiance. Great end to a cheeky weekend in Amsterdam.

To be brief, In my ventures dinning and working at the finest resorts & restaurants across the Caribbean. Mr. Porters and chef Dario was brilliant during my visit to Amsterdam, the service was above and beyond the expectations. Would definitely recommend to those who could comfortably enjoy the views, service and luxury.

Best experience so far. From walking into The front door to the reception it’s a fantastic place. The atmosphere is amazing Service is of first class plus the food is exceptional tasty and delicious. Had my hubby’s birthday here and they made his day special for the night. 100% recommend a visit while in Amsterdam.

The hostess gave priority to another couple, who came later than us. Even though she already said hello to us. Place looks beautiful, good service and attention. Meat was good and had a fun night, but not sure if I will come back :)

Incredibly loud music which feels like you're in a club. I get that it's the vibe but I have a total headache after listening to House for an hour over steak. Great South African wine selection. Food is ok, service a little slow and inattentive. Great decor. They didn't acknowledge a birthday I asked to have marked.

There are numerous Argentinian steak restaurants in the immediate vicinity of Dam Square, most with identical menus. If it's a New York style steakhouse that you crave, you have to check-out Mr. Porter, a rooftop restaurant on the upper floor of the W Hotel, a trendy hotel in the Spuistraat, where there is usually a Lamborghini, Bentley or something similar, parked outside the front door. Just before you reach the restaurant reception area, there is a large floor to ceiling vitrine displaying various mouth watering cuts of meat being aged to perfection. In the background, a team of chefs are busy carrying out culinary preparations. A host or hostess guides you to your table. An extension of the hotel's W Lounge, the restaurant occupies an impressive amount of floorspace. The terrace has outdoor seating for those who prefer to dine 'al fresco'. The views, mostly of the eastern and western parts of the city, are sensational, with many of the city's landmarks clearly visible. An eclectic selection of curated music, often emanating from DJs next door, blends in with the surroundings to create the perfect ambience. If you bring guests, you know they won't be disappointed. It's also the perfect venue for family and business celebrations, or to propose to the love of your life. The menu features a "Little Kick Start" - a diverse choice of appetisers such as fresh oysters, spicy yellow tail sashimi, pan fried baby squid, Taboon roasted Foie Gras, Beef Tartare and various vegetarian options. Carpaccio, is offered in meat, fish and vegetable variants, as are the salads. There is a limited seafood selection including grilled lobster. If it's meat you've come to eat, you won't be disappointed. Personal favourites include Chateaubriand with Foie Gras, Japanese Wagyu A3, New York Strip and Rib Eye on the bone. Prices are not cheap, but still reasonable when you consider the oh so delicious food, impeccable service, great views and unique surroundings.

Great service and atmosphere but the food was really disappointing, especially considering the price. We sat at the chef’s table so got to see the kitchen, which was cool, but overall would not recommend. Beautiful presentation, but everything was really bland.

Nice establishment in the city center with a beautiful view of the city, nice service Vitaly created a wonderful friendly vibe recommended a very tasty dessert Snickers, its presentation and taste is different from the classic dessert making it more delicate and refined compliments to Chef, delicious coffee. I recommend to look into the establishment will be satisfied.

Food was good, just not great which is what is expected at this price point. One of our steaks was disappointing, had so many tendons it was not a great cut. The wait staff is really nice and our waiter was polite and with a nice attitude but the service is slow and not attentive. Disappointed as I’d been before and it was AMAZING in the past.

At night this transforms into a bar rather than the restaurant this is listed as on maps. Very friendly servers and relatively fast service. The drinks we ordered tasted good, and the atmosphere was excellent. Perhaps due to covid, the place wasn't too busy, so it's easy to find a private spot to hang out with your friends. There's also some outdoor seats and a swimming pool for those that are brave enough for the cold dutch weather. Prices are relatively high, but in line with other cocktail bars. Expect to spend 10-18 euro per drink. Will definitely visit again. P.s: Even the bathrooms have a very nice atmosphere. 😄

Fine steak dining on the roof of Amsterdam. Views, food and service were incredible, although the noise and ambience a bit overwhelming.

The place with amazing food. Delicious tbones, potatoes carpaccio. A big variety of wines and champagne. Coconut ice cream was the best I have ever tried, feels like Thailand!

Best dinner we had in Amsterdam! Food was worth the price in my opinion but drinks were overpriced-but again the atmosphere and vibe made up for it. Service was also really great. Thank you!

Very nice and elegant place. Food delicious & stuff excellent. Food is fresh and very good quality. Very good meat, perfectly medium steak and it melts in your mouth, its so soft. I am steak eater and here they really know them job. Highly recommended.

That was not our first time in the restaurant but this time something was different. The food and the service was not the best. The timing of the dishes was incorrect. My partner received his main course 15 minutes after mine. I ordered the Seabass that arrive with a tomato sauce on top and that’s it. When we arrive to the desert we order coffee and that arrived after 15 minutes when we already finished the dessert. In general the dishes were lack of flavor and the service was not on point. Maybe Covid impact this restaurant, hope they will go back to their high standard times.

Amazing place, location and views from the roof top are beautiful! We had meat based menu! So no compilations for chief! Some delays from the service, but is ok! A great spot for cozy staying in Amsterdam! (Expensive by the way)

We went there for my Birthday , and it was first time going there ; 1st as soon as I got inside it was wow 🤩 very luxury restaurant loved it 🥰 2nd the atmosphere was very good 👍 3rd , service was super on point , I forgot to ask the name of the waiter blond guy and blue eyes , he was very good of taking care of our services, always asked us if we were doing ok .. thank you so much 😊 for being the best …food was on point 🥰😋.. very good and delicious 😋.. And the view of course I couldn’t stop taking pictures lol.. very beautiful. I recommend this place in a heartbeat😉

My wife and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. Stunning location overlooking Amsterdam, food was delicious, I had the chateaubriand topped foie gras and a red wine jus that was out of this world, sticky rich. My wife had the Madame fillet which she said was cooked to perfection and came with a jus. Sides were a triumph, asparagus with pardon peppers, macaroni and cauliflower cheese and an onion loaf to die for !!!! Dessert was also delicious and it came with a happy anniversary cake and sparkler! Lovely . Service impeccable and good knowledge of all foods . Prices are slightly high but you get what you pay for . Ohhh and the bread to start !!!!! 💯

An absolutely stunning meal, you could tell there was real time and effort put into the food and the service was fantastic Sophie our waitress was brilliant we will definitely return when we visit Amsterdam.

The service was really attentive and friendly! We really enjoyed the starters and the desserts. Unfortunately our steak wasn’t cooked medium rare. Also after their second try the steak was a bit dry. We went on a Monday where the restaurant was empty. I’m sure their steak is normally great but we were just unlucky. We also saw their head chef was off earlier that day. Still enjoyed my birthday there and the service was really great.

Excellent restaurant. We had only an hour for lunch, and we informed the staff about it. Within 30 minutes, we had all our food, including steaks. Outstanding speed and service. The presentation of dishes was very intriguing. Highly recommended.

The best restaurant we visited in Amsterdam! We went for the Sunday roast and it was AMAZING! Being from England, we have tried sooo many roasts and this has to be the best one I have ever had. The drinks and pudding and ‘on the house’ starter was also so lovely. So filling and just over all 10/10 The waiting staff was all so friendly and knew their stuff, especially the main girls that served us Sophie and Erica. Made us feel so welcome. A nice touch was that the chef came out to check over all the guests to make sure their food was ok and that they was enjoying everything and if we needed anything. Such a personal touch that I have never experienced anywhere. I wish there was more restaurants like this. Next time we are in Amsterdam we will be back!

We had a wonderful evening at Mr Porter. The food was very good and Björn and other staff made our evening even more pleasant! We had a Mrs porter steak and several other dishes, portions are big. Music is very loud but nice. This restaurant is definitely an experience, not cheap but worth it.

Wonderful experience, excellent dishes, thoughtful and attentive service, gorgeous location. We had cocktails before dinner right across from the restaurant at the W Lounge, great start! We had dinner outdoors and it was perfect! The starters were good, the sides perfectly paired, the steak was the hero, and the coconut dessert was fantastic! The drinks are just ok.
