The waiters can speak English, they also have menus in other languages. We order duck, Duch beef steak and chicken supreme. They are good. I like the duck a lot. My friend like steak.

Although this may not be fair, we walked 25 blocks under the rain for the Dutch pea soup. It said it was opened all day. When we arrived, soaked to the bone, ready for some warm soup, it was closed. The least you can do, is update the information.

Tbh, food was fine and portions are quite generous, We tried the traditional Amsterdam 3-course menu dishes. The salmon fillet is super most and tender whereas the meatball plate is very filling. Fries are included in bothe menus. I have to say though the whole dining experience is far from pleasant - the staffs give the impression of being annoyed. My friend and I were seated at a table more inward and every time we need help we have we'd wait for waiters to come near our table (which never happen) and so we have to walk towards them near the entrance to ask for something (only to be shunned by them with a "my colleagues will come to you soon" when this is exactly what never happened every time we needed something) it makes customers feel like they're being a nuisance and this feels very unprofessional

We went to this restaurant due to its great reviews online and it did not disappoint. There are a lot of tourists in there but the food was really good, so we did not think we got a trapped in a tourist trap. We had a cheese croquettes as appetizer (oh, so good!!! Cheesy, warm deliciousness) and for our main course we both had the hotchpotch. I do not eat a lot of meant and usually go the vegetarian route but this dish was heavenly. A little on the heavy side, but it gives you a homey feeling. The interiors is super cozy and comfortable and the staff super friendly. Go check it out yourself!

Friendly service and people. The Danish Decor and food was incredible. We enjoyed our Spring soup of white asparagus and these ball-type appetizers. The smoked salmon, ale and aperatif were excellent.

Great environment! But for the food, may be the taste is adjusted for tourists. I ordered a 3 course menu. The portion was good. I was very full after eating. But for the erwten soup, it is not hot enough. And the apple pie was cold. It was taken out from the fridge probably instead of freshly baked from the oven. But overall, it has good price to quality ratio amid the restaurants in Amsterdam.

Wow. When we first found this restaurant on a map after getting to Amsterdam, we thought it might be good, but it wasn't! It was great! Service was friendly and attentive, they offered a high chair for our 2 year old, and offered him colors&paper for doodling, and that was very entertaining for him! They have kid's menu for about 10 euros if you need it, too. Now to the food. Very traditional Dutch dishes are very well cooked. Prices are good for such a great place. We ordered goose with mashed potatoes&asparagus, and that meal was wonderful. We also have had cheese appetizer. Yum! 5 out of 5.

Very nice restaurant. Food is delicious, staffs are kind. Well, they were quite busy and food came a little bit slow, but it was acceptable. All the dishes - pumpkin soup, tomato soup, meatballs, beef steak - were excellent and price was reasonable. Higly recommend this restaurant!

This place was great. Charming atmosphere with old world panels. I order the Amsterdam Menu with the Salad with Smoked Mackerel, Meatball with cabbage Stamppot and had the Apple Pie. The food was very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating with recommendations.

Amazing food and the service couldn't be better, they ask you in the front desk for your native language and choose a waiter who speaks that. That makes you feel more "like in home". The place also have an antic but chic touch. πŸ‘Œ

February 2018 - we were looking for some traditional Dutch Restaurant. Found this one, read the reviews and went to have lunch. We were not disappointed. The staff took very good care of us, the place is nice and clean and the food - as you can see from the pictures - was very well presented and tasted very good. Would definitely recommend.

It is a good restaurant, there are many reservations so you have to book in advance, especially on weekends. The plates are really big and tasty :) We liked the ambiance, it is old-fashioned with wood and bricks. The personel is really nice. We tried the starter with 7 different flavors, the fish of the day and the calf liver, everything was tasty <3

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
