Nice quiet restaurant with good quality food. We went for oysters but unfortunately they were sold out, so settled for snails instead and they were delicious! Lobster risotto was slightly too salty(can do with less parmigiano) but overall pleasant. Partridge was nice as well. The service we received during the meal was really good, but I couldn’t say the same for when we first entered the restaurant.I suppose it’s not the costumers’ fault if their reservation didn’t show up on the record…

We enjoyed a magical slow lunch at Brasserie Ambassade, overlooking the canal. We were blessed to receive a window table to soak up the views we are all too familiar with and love in Amsterdam. Brasserie Ambassade is the warmest restaurant where the team make you feel at home, and we felt like we were part of the family within minutes. The food and wine were exceptional and very affordable. A fixed-price lunch for an amicable price will help with the decision-making, and you can sample the exquisite cuisine. Take your time perusing the wine menu over a glass of champagne, as they have an excellent selection of premium wines. Amsterdam, you have the dining scene fit for a Queen; we can't will to be back and explore more of this enticing menu and revisit the lovely team.

A gem along the canal We finally made it to this restaurant after cancelling our New Year’s Eve dinner due to a family emergency.  Their manager simply refunded our deposit without question, so we vow to visit the next chance we got, which was tonight.  We were glad we did!  The service by Christa, Sophia and the manager Josephine was outstanding, they were friendly, attentive and professional! The food was creative and tasty; the Leek Confit was a stand out and the Sea Bass main was excellent as well! The place was packed but not noisy and the huge artwork on the walls made for a sophisticated ambience! It’s not cheap, but Definitely worth it!

It does not seem like a place where many locals shows up, so an international audience should be expected. However for me it was definitely worth a visit and I would very much enjoy coming back in the near future!

The service was friendly charming and had an attention to detail. I love it when you get a hand towel (not tissue paper) to wash your hands after using the conveniences. Unfortunately, some of the WC users were not so attentive to putting their used towel in the used towel basket. It was noticeable, but not a detriment for my night. In our view the entrees were the pinnacle - we had the burrata and the venison tartare and they were both original and absolutely delicious. However all the other courses were incredible as well. I can definitely recommend the cheese board for dessert which is well curated and very tasty. Another real highlight were the wines by the glass which were amazing - our waiter also had superb knowledge of the wine list and gave us flawless recommendations. We booked this last minute and are so happy we did.

Great restaurant in a hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. We had the last reservation available at 9:30pm. All the waiters were extremely polite and explained all the courses to us. The chommelier helped us choose a nice bottle of French wine that paired perfectly with all our courses. All the courses we had from appetisers to main courses and deserts were very tasty and even the homemade bread they served at the beginning was one of the best I’ve ever had. I was surprised when I told the waited that the bread had some nice sweetness aftertaste and he went to ask on the kitchen and then brought us a sample of the “secret ingredient” to taste which was some spurt of honey. It is not really expensive for what this restaurant has to offer and if we had extra days on Amsterdam left we would probably visit again.

Since I didn't have a reservation I ended up trying the Brasserie Ambassade at the hotel bar. I ordered duck confit per the bartender's recommendation and it definitely was a delicious experience. Everything about this dish was perfect, I would recommend it. For drinks I got Manhattan which was very balanced, strong and just perfect.

The restaurant was quite busy late on Friday evening so we couldn't get a table inside the restaurant. They accommodated us so we could eat dinner in the library salon downstairs which had a nice ambiance to it. We ordered Cod fish, duck for main course each. Main courses were amazing. They messed up our dessert order and we had to remind them when it didn't arrive after about an hour. Desserts weren't anything exciting and you can skip that.

I didn’t enjoy the dinner. Since we came I noticed not cleaned glass on a table, I asked the waitress to replace it. She replaced it with a new, just a little bit more cleaner. Food was not great either. Beef tartare was below average. Sea bass was good, but the portion of sea bass was very small (I feel it was less than 100g).
