We had the best ever Thai dinner I could asked for in Europe. My friend (she is Thai) made the order. Thai tea, Singha beer, Som Tam Thai, Massaman Curry, Chicken Cashew und Shrimps with Garlic. It was a blast! Lived in Thailand myself. Very delicious place.

Great choice for Thai food in Amsterdam. We were let in a few minutes early before opening time. Service was super quick and very friendly! The interior is decorated very nicely and authentic, too. Highly recommended!

Was skeptical at first because of mixed reviews but was very pleased with my red chicken curry (Phanaeng curry) for lunch. I asked my waiter, who turned out to be the owner, what his favourite dish was and this was it. Good level of spicy. Efficient and friendly service. Will be going back to try more dishes.

The best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. The papaya salad is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The panang curry with chicken has fresh lychee included to help balance out the spice. Wow. Definitely get the sticky rice. We ate here twice on our visit (one of those nights was my birthday). Can’t wait to visit again on our return to Amsterdam.

Super recommend, great food, we tried three options to shared among 4 and we had s great lunch: papaya salade (with a lovely spicy twist), chicken fillet with cashews, and a pad Thai with prawns. All super tasty, we really enjoyed the whole meal. We paid 59€ (15€ each) with no alcohol. 👍👍👍🙂

This used to be the best Thai restaurant in Amsterdam. We have been coming here again and again for 5 years now. Here you could get Thai food tasting just like in Thailand. Not anymore 😭 today I’ve ordered my regular vegan Pad Thai and just couldn’t make myself have more than a few bites. It looked and tasted like the sauce was based on ketchup :/ there was mostly noodles with very few pieces of cauliflower, sprouts, chopped green onion and 5-6 pieces of tofu. I ate the few pieces of tofu I had in my plate along with 2-3 small cauliflower pieces, and just left the plate as is. We paid the bill and tipped because of the still good service. After paying the bill we did share with the waiter our disappointment. Not sure what happened to our favorite restaurant :( but we won’t be coming back. Across the street there’s a (much much) smaller restaurant also called Snackbar Bird, maybe the two are somehow linked. We have been there a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Maybe the chef moved from this Bird to the tiny restaurant across the street?

The food is good but nothing worth waiting in a 10+ people long queue. Some of our starters were served cold and that definitely killed our mood but the main course was warm and tasty. The Green curry is SPICY, beware. The food was good, Thai food we all know is good, heart warming, soul warming.

You need to wait at least 15 minutes in the weekend which worthes the experience. The portions are big enough and prices are reseanable, the staff are nice and friendly. Food is delicious, I came here multiple times, definitely come back again!

Showed up later than we should have. They were closing soon but took us as we promised to be quick. Friendly staff, fast service, good prices and DELICIOUS food!! Giving 5 stars because they let us in so late and we were starving

Yummy thai food. Came to know about this place from a friend and had read great reviews about this restaurant on Google. True to all the reviews and recommendations it is actually a great place for thai food lovers. Nice, cozy yet very busy restaurant right in the heart of Amsterdam red light district. Had ordered Red Thai Chicken Curry with Fried rice(you could also choose to have steam rice for no extra cost or noodle/fried rice with an extra cost, these come included with the curry). Portion sizes are great for 2 people and sharing is possible. I went there for a late lunch or you could say an early dinner at around 4pm and it was almost full. So I would recommend going early to find a place or you could end up standing in a queue.

Good food and location, the duck was a bit chewy though. Also the service was a bit rude. Although we spent a lot in dining and drinks, the service wouldn’t give out tap water as it is usual in other restaurants in Amsterdam. Wouldn’t recommend it as a first choice.. shame!

Really authentic food. You can tell everything was made with love. Large portions so definitely a bang for your buck. Service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere inside is really cool too. Highly recommend!

A fantastic all around authentic Thai restaurant with savory dishes chock-full of flavor. The spring rolls and the satay chicken were fantastic starters. The main dish : Paneng Nua was mouthwatering and spicy. The coconut milk mixed with panning curry provided the perfect sweet and spicy combination.

We did not feel very welcome. After we finished our meals, we were asked to leave. Packing your leftovers costs 1€ extra. Food is good, but not above average. Very spicy means very spicy here.

When we arrived at the place it was packed! The restaurant itself is somehow tiny (similar to other restaurants in the area). They managed to get us seated in around 10 - 15 minutes. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Must try if you love Thai food and found yourself near the area.

Food was very tasty! The fried rice with meat and shrimps was amazing. Service was fine given that the place was full and we had to wait around 25 minutes to get a table. Some waiters were nicer than others.

Very nicely decorated Thai restaurant. We sat upstairs and had a good view of the canal. There is a very large selection of Thai food. It didn't take long for the food to arrive either. It tasted delicious, wasn't too spicy - just right! We recommend.

If you are in Amsterdam Central, make sure you come to BIRD THAIS RESTAURANT. This was amazing, and the service was great, she was very social and knew all the foods on the menu. I got the Pad Thai with Prawn, and it was super flavorful I would definitely get this again. This is a must go...

Excellent authentic Thai food in the heart of Amsterdam. Tried the Bangkok set menu for dinner and really enjoyed it. The restaurant is nicely decorated!

The place has a very nice vibe and the staff was very polite. Service is also fast and the food was fresh and tasty. Though it felt like a type of Thai fast-food for Europeans. We ordered pad thai and tom yum soup. I was surprised the pad thai was not made with rice noodles, but with a tagliatelle type instead. And the soup had a mild clear broth instead of the typical reddish hot and sour dragon fire I was expecting.

Very delicious food if you are looking for authentic Thai food, the food portion is big so its good to share, we are 2 and we ordered 2 main dishes but we couldn't finish them. -Tom yum soup with shrimp was average -chicken satay was good -Stit chicken with thai basil, garlic and chili was veeeery good 👍🏻 highly recommend. -The service was good. The line goes very fast, we waited for less than 10 minutes.

some of the best thai food I’ve had like.. EVER! Life changing honestly we needed a few moments of silence to comprehend the slapping meal we just had. You might have to queue 15-20 minutes but it is well worth! Their set meals are the most value tbh, we had the chiangmai set and the bangkok set. I preferred the creamy tomyam ka to the regular tom yam koong so take note!

Tasty food with decent price considering the location. The service was really good and the decoration was beautiful. They have vegetarian options. Would recommend to try it out!

I had really high hopes when entering the restaurant. The place was packed and staff were so lovely to seat us and accommodate. Couldn’t have been more lovely. We ordered a starter platter which was okay…nothing special. Then the mains came out…I ordered the noodle soup with beef which was awful. I don’t know what meat was in the dish but it did not taste of beef. The soup was also really sweet. My partner ordered Thai prawn red curry and it was incredibly spicy with very dry prawns, how prawns can be dry I don’t know. All in all not up to the hype. However wonderful staff and nice atmosphere.

Terrible food and service! Lined up to eat here on a Sunday night the wait is about 25 mins. Was never greeted and felt welcome at all. The food is not authentic, the meat were all frozen. We ordered pad Thai with pork, pineapple fried rice with chicken and chicken satay. The satay had so many sauce, the meat are super roughy came with 4 pieces only ate 2 because it was so bad. The pork and chicken, both were tasteless. Unhappy about the service, the staff there especially the male taller server are super rude and impatient.

Decent prices and good food. Portion sizes are also generous. Staff is helpful: seated a large group with little space, and even charged a party’s phone, but incredibly slow! Rice shouldn’t take so long to come! Interior is well decorated.

After all those years still one of the best Thai restaurant in town. Love their Son Tum and curry’s. Decent portioning. No reservations, so get their right before the dinner peak hour of 18:00.

It's here Delicious enjoy From the Thai dishes, very friendly staff, affordable prices. The dishes taste just like in Thailand itself.

Good and tasteful food, much to choose from. Nize menu, different spicyness and original flavour, like it has to be!! Certainly a spot to come back to! Must eat! Aroy Maek!!

Food was nicely spiced but didn't have many flavors beyond that. The vegetables in the dishes were typical Dutch ones - we didn't spot any typical Thai or Southeast Asian vegetables. Two starters were cold. Vegetarian options are limited. Staff missed friendliness and was even slightly irritated when we gave the cold starters back. Luckily for us we still had a lovely evening as we had nice company. But no reason for us to return to this place.

My favourite Thai place in Amsterdam. The best Thai food! Big portions, fast service, very friendly staff, always welcoming and smiling. The restaurant is usually busy but you’ll be always seated after some wait, they work very efficiently.
