Delicious dutch pancakes! We ordered #14 and #15. They may look “not enough” but it really gets you full. Staff are not that friendly, i asked for a plant based milk and they brought me whole milk.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be both an unpleasant and disappointing experience and I'd definitely give this restaurant a skip. Don't be conned by the 'authentic pancake' experience slogan. The food is a fusion of every nationality on the planet. The service was cold, unfriendly and slow. They got my 'design your own pancake' order wrong, and still charged for the missing ingredients. The food is way overpriced for the quantity and quality that you get, and unfortunately, the taste was seriously bland and disappointing. Be prepared to bump elbows with people at the table next to you as the restaurant is seriously small and cramped. Not to be repeated I'm afraid.

Unbelievable gluten free pancakes. The gluten free menu is incredible! I had the banana, bacon and hot pepper GF pancake and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. All gluten free dishes come with a plastic chip on them so you know 100% that they prepared it separately and properly! Cannot wait to go back…tomorrow!

The pancakes are good but multiple orders were missed at our table and those around us. We ordered 2 pancakes: the bbq pulled chicken (very good) and the apple (also good) but we had to remind the staff about our order. We heard a couple other tables with the same problem and discounts were offered as a result.

We were somewhat neutral towards Dutch pancakes (felt like something between American pancakes and crepes), but the toppings were pretty good and drinks too Nice ambience and everyone seemed happy to be there so that's a plus Worth a visit especially as a quick and filling lunch and to try local pancakes! Tip: order a savory and a sweet one to share with your tablemate!

Yummy Dutch pancakes! They taste better than they look. My partner ordered savory #15 with chicken, bacon, onion, and guacamole (€18.5) and I built my own (€8) with banana (+€2.5) and strawberries (+€4.5). Both hit the spot - wish we had one of these in NYC. No wait at 10am on a Tuesday. Service was slow, but expected since they were understaffed; waiter/host was very friendly. My coffee was decent, but would pass on the smoothie.

We arrived here by 12pm, the Restaurant was half full and the staff took us to our seats. The prices are juicy but the pancakes are even jucier so it's really worth your money. I ate the traditional pancake with bacon and apple. Absolutely perfect, would recommend.

I've been craving pancakes for very long now. I checked many reviews for other places and I choose this one because they had american style pancakes. I gotta say they don't disappoint at all. My crave was satisfied and they were delicious!!! As a side note: the place is small just like any other in the 9 straatjes but if you get a chance to sit down it's lovely.

I loved how as soon as I ordered a soya latte was asked if it was preference or allergy and because I mentioned it's intollerance, was given straightaway a different alternative menu and explained how it works. All the food prepared for the allergy, vegan, etc... comes with a little white coin to mark it so there is no confusion. The server was amazing eventhow they were super busy, always very helpful and able to recommend what was the best option for us. Not only that, we ordered the amsterdam pancakes and they were wonderful. Can't recommend it enough. Be prepared for queueing if it's a busy day/time, but believe me, it will be worth the wait.

When there a line waiting to get it, you know its probably pretty good. Was not disappointed, definitely worth both the walk, and the wait. Good pancakes, great service. Highly recommended!

A bit pricey for a $$ place and they will upcharge on top of that for the lactose friendly pancakes. That being said, I was happy to have the option! Service was friendly and food was delicious.

One of the best pancakes I’ve had, especially the savory one with bacon and cheese. The grated Dutch cheese formed a lovely crispy layer that is oh so addictive. The place is quite small so be prepared for a queue but it’s worth it :)

Came here for breakfast at 08:30am. There were still plenty of vacant tables then but the crowd started coming in after 9am and there was a short queue when we left. Adding pancake syrup on the savoury pancake with bacon, banana and peppers was the best advice given by the waitress. It was yummy. Coffee was good too and I enjoyed the mini stroopwafel that came with it.

This place came recommended on the travel guide so I just had to try! This was my first Dutch pancake so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I liked it! I got the apple and cheese which was very different, I don’t know what I expected but I would recommend! I also had the Dutch eggnog coffee. Service was friendly and fast! Shop was small and cute/quaint.

A great place for pancakes, I did not enjoy the first order of pancake all that much. I ordered the Dutch apple and almond pancake, it was not as sweet as I expected it, a little rubbery and not warm. I was a little disappointed. However since I heard a lot about this place, I returned the next day and ordered Dutch chocolate and banana, and it was amazing I was very impressed, the pancake was moist, thin and warm. I’m so glad I gave it another try. Service was very good and swift both times. They do not take cash as payment (cash tips are okay). I believe they can be even better.

Cozy breakfast cafe featuring Dutch and American pancakes. We had a savory Dutch pancake with cheese, spinach and egg. American pancakes with bacon. Fresh Orange juice and tea. The ginger lemon tea was awesome.

Get Dutch pancakes here! You won’t regret it! We had bacon and cheese one and bacon and apple one, both very delicious! Very authentic street view also! And good coffee!

Date of visit: October 2018 We queued and dined outdoors. This was worth the wait. We stayed locally and this was a recommended spot. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Food = tasty and portion size is large. If we are in the area again, we will re-visit.

I had the vegan Dutch pancake with bananas and almonds... it came with chocolate sauce on the side which was a little too sweet for my taste but the pancake was still incredible without it. I would definitely go back.

Food 5/10 A very touristy meal I have to say. The pancake itself was a little soggy and looked a bit sad. There were parts where I thought it wasn’t fully cooked through. It was a big slab of pancake though, so at least they weren’t skimping on the portions. Atmosphere 6/10 Simple decor and interior, nothing cool and outstanding about the spot. White and blue tones. It felt a little greasy inside, despite appearing quite cute from the outside. There was one cool clock utensil tower on the wall, but besides that it was quite plain inside. Service 6/10 Everything honestly took quite a while, so that was a little frustrating.

Super tasty, cosy and authentic Dutch pancake bar with a really good all over (pancake only) menu. Not to cheap but very reasonable giving the location, the portion-sizes and the taste 🤤 Don’t expect anything other then great pancakes and you will be super satisfied 🥞 Original New York 🗽 Pancake House’s Dutch memories come on top for free, just even more tasty and way more original 🇳🇱 Menu: https://pancakes.amsterdam/menu-in-your-own-language-1/picture-menu-english

The place is right in front of the central station Amsterdam which makes it much easier to reach and as it is right in front of the station there is always a waiting line. But the line moves pretty fast. The staff were helpful as soon as we entered we were offered seats which had higher chairs and we weren't comfortable so it was changed upon request. What we ordered : 1. American pancake with maple syrup, bacon and fried egg ( no 28 from the menu ) 2. American pancake with maple syrup, strawberry and cookie dough ice-cream ( no 28 from the menu ) 3. Vegan Dutch pancakes with maple syrup In addition to breakfast drinks : 1. English tea 2. Pancakes hot choco 3. Coffe with maple syrup Everything was rettt delicious and it was totally worth the wait !

I ordered a bacon pancake which maybe that was my mistake but in my opinion, I think the food is overrated. It tasted ok and it was soft texture but it just felt like a crepe with bacon. Maybe would be different with other or more toppings but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought. Prices are high imo. Servers are friendly and it’s a nice building but if you want to experience then go for it.

Amazing pancakes. Myself and wife have intolerances (one gluten free and other dairy free). We visited as they offered gluten free and vegan traditional pancakes. Lots of choice for toppings too!

This seemed to be a very popular spot. We had to wait outside for a little while to be seated as it is a small restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was better than expected. Would definitely recommend for a quick bite while you’re in Amsterdam.

Pancakes Amsterdam was so good I came here twice during my three-day visit! And I’m not even usually a fan of pancakes. But Dutch pancakes are different — in the best possible way. And while yes, this place also offers American style pancakes, their specialty is Dutch pancakes, which are thinner, almost crepe-like, and not nearly as sweet. You can get a premade combination off the menu or build your own. And my build-your-own gluten free pancake with blueberry sauce and whipped cream was so so good. They were very well educated about allergies and included a flag in mine to indicate that it was gluten free. And the person I came with (a local of 10+ years) also raved about his Dutch apple pancake. The service was friendly, albeit brief and minimal. And it’s a very cozy shop, with less than a dozen tables so expect a short wait. But this will easily be one of my first places to revisit on my next trip to Amsterdam for a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack!

Haven't been here for 10 years, still the same fantastic pancakes. A favourite of mine is 31 with extra 🍁🥓 🤤🤤🤤. The little young girl was very kind and helpful too. Definitely recommend this place

Incredible apple & cheese pancake. I also ordered 2 eggs on the side and a latte. All was wonderful, served quickly and politely. Wonderful place.

Very delicious pancakes with a lot of flavour but maybe a little greasy for us. They are quite big and we could not finish the whole dish. The apple juice was also a good choice! We would not mind going back the next time we are in Amsterdam!

It’s a small and cute place to try dutch pancakes. There are many savory and sweet options and you can even make your own pancake. It’s a bit touristic and obviously a little pricey but it was very delicious.

Really tasty Dutch pancakes! Went for the spinach-cheese-fried egg one and the bacon-onion-mushroom-cheese one Quick service, friendly staff! Just a bit overpriced but worth it!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
