I don't know why everyone is praising this place. It is barely average. The price for the quantity is exorbitant. The service especially here is non existent. The girls serving are least interested in serving you. It took her 30 mins to get a spoon and 45 mins to get the plain hummus. The pita never arrived. If you value your time and like good taste look for someplace else.

Mana Mana in De Pijp has a really nice, cozy space inside. The two level atmosphere is cool and makes for a good date spot. The food, though overall tasty, left something to be desired. The dishes are each quite small which I understand but you do not feel like you get good value for each dish. The favors are interesting and definitely well done but I could not get over that you are paying almost 13 euros for a few pieces of cauliflower. The sauces on the dishes were very good but it seems that they use the same sauce for multiple dishes. The smoked aubergine was okay but extremely smokey, like you are eating charcoal. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be but we weren’t in love with it. The knafeh was stellar and exceeded expectations. Recommend ordering that for dessert. The service was alright, it is clear that the staff is a bit stretched as we asked twice for the pita that was supposed to come with our hummus. Overall, we had a good time at Mana Mana in De Pijp but feel that the value isn’t that great for what you get. Certainly the dishes are interesting with great flavors but for the price you should have more per dish.

Very nice restaurant in de pijp area where it’s very easy to locate. I loved their menu since it offered new meals in the middle eastern cuisine. The menu is rich of different plates that could accommodate to all tastes. Some dishes have better taste than others. The service was super super good and the staff are very friendly.

We walked past the door and decided to give it a go — and what a discovery! This place is a gem. We tried their signature cauliflower dish, the chicken thighs, and the mince over labneh, and I absolutely enjoyed every bite. If I had to choose, I’d say you definitely need to try the cauliflower; I’m sure it’ll surprise you! The waitress also recommended trying the Mana lemonade, and I’m glad I did because it was very tasty and refreshing, complementing all the flavors on the table. The staff was also super friendly, and the place was packed, so make sure to book a table before popping by!

Delicious! The cauliflower was our favorite. The hummus and eggplant were also good. So was their hibiscus ice tea and homemade lemonade. Will definitely come here again. I recommend you to make a reservation so you won't be disappointed ;) it's just a small restaurant.

Quiet place, excellent food and service ! The humus was delicious (You can share it but the portion is kind of small for two, but it’s ok if you eat it as a starter) The plate we had was really yummy as well! It’s maybe a bit pricey but I would totally recommend this place ! Thank you for your sympathy and for the special attention !

This was honesty some of the best food my partner and I have ever had, extremely authentic, and we left completely satisfied. Every dish was impeccable, staff were extremely friendly and service was great, location and ambiance are spot on, and quite affordable for what you get! I’ve never had eggplant or cauliflower this good, and the presentation of every dish was amazing. Unfortunately my partner and I are just visiting, otherwise we would both definitely be regulars here. Fantastic vegan options, would highly recommend to vegans and vegetarians. Don’t miss this place!

Cozy and charming place to have dinner. The food is very tasty, flavoured and varied. The place is not really big but perfect to enjoy your dinner without too much noise. The staff is nice and very efficient.

We came here based on a recommendation from our friends who always visit the one in the West. Turned out we were disappointed by long waiting time but the food was served almost cold. At first we thought it meant to be like that but during the pay, I asked the staff and he told us it should definitely be served hot. So he talked to the chef and decide to take one dish of the total bill without telling us why it was all cold (super strange when you waited for almost 30 mins for the food). Besides this point, the taste was great and i thought it could be perfect if it came hot. It’s pricy since the portion is not as well that big but acceptable due to location. However, we were in doubt to try the one in the West since our friends told us they have never been disappointed at that branch.

This is THE place to bring your foodie friends. We tried the Psychedelic Caulifower and the Kebab and were so psyched. Love the food. The seating is cramped and a little uncomfy but would return to try the rest of the menu! Love the presentation too.

Every dish we ordered was delicious! The gorgeous presentation is a nice touch too - makes for great photos and a more pleasant experience overall. I highly recommend the smoked aubergine and the laabane. You might have to order more pita bread because the laabane is super rich. The staff were friendly and thoughtful. We were seated at the second floor and they would make it a point to drop by every now and then to check if there was anything we needed.

Came here with friends for dinner over the weekend and everything was so fantastic. Even though I'm not vegan I enjoyed multiple amazing dishes with my vegan friends. The food is fantastic, service was exceptional and drinks also delicious. We were looked after by multiple servers as well as the bartender who came to check on how the drinks were. Very very happy with the whole experience. Thank you to the whole staff for an amazing dinner!!!

Must visit when in Amsterdam!! Creative, flavorful and delicious food, friendly and excellent service, soft and warm ambience. We loved everything we ordered especially the cauliflower, shashuka, chicken thigh, and hummus. They have a few different locations, make reservations ahead of time.

Lovely place with great food with a sharing set up. Plenty of dishes to choose from - we had the cauliflower and hummus, iced tea and lemonade and the goat cheese desert. All were super tasty. Minus one star for the price as for “sharing is caring” type of restaurant the individual meals are way too overpriced.

The restaurant is located in a nice area, very rustic and cozy. Thanks to the large windows, the interior is very bright. Too bad for the limited space at the table; the waiters recommend taking many dishes to share, but there wasn’t enough space on the table, at least I speak from my experience. The menu is quite varied, and features vegan, vegetarian and carnivorous choices. Everything I tried was very good and the staff was courteous enough. From the menu, I would recommend the humus with falafel, which I usually find too dry in other places. So, if find your self in the Pijp and you want healthy and tasty option, I recommend Mana Mana.

Good food, but staff is too disorganised and so the experience is too unreliable. For example, they lose your table reservation (nevermind that you made the reservation in person with a member of staff taking note in front of you). Once I ordered a dish and it arrived so late that by then we had already paid the bill and were ready to leave. And so on. It's a shame because they deserve better.

Really nice Middle-Eastern place with plenty of meat and vegetarian dishes. Everything was so fresh, delicious and good looking. You can enjoy a good cocktail as well. Bookings/Reservations are recommended as the place is really popular. Don’t miss it!

Great food. I can highly recommend the eggplant, together with the pita bread, it is heavenly. So creamy and yummy. Will come back for this. Plenty vegetarian and vegan options. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive even though it was quite busy.

There were a few people serving in this restaurant. We ordered 2 starters and 1 main dish to share for 2 of us. It was odd that they brought us only 1 starter to share (it took about 15-20 minutes to come out) and they served the 2nd starter with the main dish (another 20 minutes). (Drinks also took 15 minutes). We thought this was odd. When you make a reservation at this place, you're only allowed to be there for 1h15 minutes. So by the time we got our food/drinks and ate, we had 10 minutes left. One lady came over and told us we had to order our dessert NOW if we wanted to still eat. (I was thinking of ordering more food but didn't do that because we felt rushed). We just found it odd that if a restaurant only allows you a short amount of time to eat, usually they serve food pretty quickly and not take a chunk of your "supposed" eating time waiting for your food. Food tastes fine. A bit laid down by the whole experience. I was told the location in the West was better/bigger but probably won't be visiting here anymore. There are other places that serve equally good tasty food without rushing you out the door.

Small, cozy place with unique and eclectic food. The Psychedelic Cauliflower is amazing. Dishes are small and shareable and generally have good flavor. Space is small so it can get crowded quickly. Good selection of drinks. Staff are friendly but busy. One star down for not accepting credit stars.

The place is quite small although you can sit outside (if it's summer or if you're brave enough). Plenty of options on the menu, all good and tasty, so with a big group is easy to go for a little bit of everything and try them all. My favourite list: hummus, the cauliflower, lamb special and the smoked aubergine. 33€ each for brunch including drinks, it was not my first time here, and it won't be the last one!

Delicious food. It was hard to narrow down our choices. It was beautifully plated too. We had hummus, labneh, the cauliflower and also not pictured the sweet potato and spinach salad. The salad was too sweet with dates and reduced pomegranate balsamic dressing. It was the only thing I didn’t like. The pita was fresh and warm and they gave us veg sticks as well. Delicious!! And the staff was so helpful with my nut allergy.

Delicious food, absolutely amazing. Very tasty, the smoky aubergine and the baba ganoush were super flavorsome, as were the chicken thighs and the kebabs. But it is a very very small and crowded place, not the most comfortable to sit and enjoy a conversation with friends.

Middle Eastern restaurant. We ordered Hummus with lamb, falafel and baba ganoush. The hummus was somewhat dried out from sitting in the kitchen for too long and the baba ganoush missed the roasted taste. Service was good.

Wow, I mean wow. This restaurant we stumbled upon while looking for something to eat was such a great experience. It is small and crowded, but the food experience was exquisite! Great flavors and great presentation! I mean, even the Pita bread and the humus is great! I will definitely come back for more! That Smoked aubergine will be stuck in my head for a long time!

Foods were so great. There are so many varieties of vegan/vegetarian options. You get free pita breads when you order dip dish. Staffs are friendly and location is easy to find right on de pijp. Only thing I was not happy about was that their plates weren’t so clean. I found lots of threads and small hairs on the plate which I had to clean with my napkin.

We ordered the cauliflower, chicken thighs, and shakshouka to split between two people. The food was beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. It felt like a fine dining experience without the price tag. 10/10 absolutely fantastic

Food here was super yummy. Definitely get the cauliflower if you go but be prepared as it is minimum 28€ each but you do get 2 dishes and it’s more of a share style. Great vibes!

  • 2/5 Ido I. 3 years ago on Google
We ordered from this place 2 portions of hummus and 2 Israelis salads +2 packs of side sauces, excluding delivery it costed €53. Though the food was ok in terms of taste and quality the portion size was extremely small taking the price into account, comparing to similar restaurants that serve similar food in central Amsterdam. As for the humus itself, it was tasty but they add 3-4 different toppings that hides their humus and it's less appealing IMO especially since they could deliver such toppings separately.

  • 4/5 Killian Saint c. 3 years ago on Google
The service is quite slow but the food delicious. It's nice that they sell medium portions, so you can order several pitas or eat only a little if you're not too hungry.

Only reason for 4 stars is, when they are busy, ordering gets weird, where you can order from deliveroo but not from thuisbezorgd for example, or from smart phone you can but from laptop you can't. Also one or two times they cancelled when we actually thought order went through. But food is very very tasty and arrives always nicely in their well arranged bowls.

I have ordered Mana Mana through Uber Eats and I was really excited for the food as it looks good and I love vegetables and hummus. Cauliflower is one of my favorites... but what I got?! Come on. I am surprised. Let's start with the hummus, this is not a hummus anymore its a bowl of soup or whatever. It hides the whole taste of the hummus, I can dive into it and it would still be like juice, where is the solid hummus? Then for cauliflower, same thing! All the sauce that they use, maybe put it on the side, so people can do it themselves because this makes no sense. I didn't like any of it. I liked the freaking dry Pita the most. I just had to write something because I had such high expectations and they crushed down on me. Second part is for the portion and prices. Tbh the portion are OK, not too small not too big. Lots and lots of Hummus soup or juice. The prices tho, are expensive! Hence I expected some good food! Hence, I am writing this review now, with pain in my heart. You've to do something different, you can't deliver the hummus or cauliflower like this. It is not good and for me a waste of money. I am sorry to write this, but I am just disappointed.

Great food, however organization and service needs improvement. The table was not ready on time. The restaurant seemed extremely busy with takeaway orders, so the food did not arrive at once, but only 20 minutes later than my friend's. Waiter did not notice my empty drink, had to get myself notified to get it. The staff was friendly though.

Oh man, the food here is to die for! Lunch menu is quiet small and limited (although DELICIOUS too) - so try come for dinner. Superb!

Slow service, sometimes a dish took 45 min and drink orders were forgotten. Food is excellent. Except, staff does not know what gluten-free means and was not aware of which were the lactose-free dishes served to us making us uncomfortable to eat the food safely.

Portions for the price a bit small (hummus with 2 falafel for 11 euros). Could easily have eaten two main courses alone. You sit nice outside, service nice. Delicious food! Hummus is insanely good, dishes selection so good - I had hard time chosing :) Wanted to eat everything! Also, a really good wine choice for Amsterdam! Just slightly stressful day for the staff, it was busy in the deliveries (understandably). While seated we saw at least 6 delivery guys wait, come and go in the small space outside. Would advice better organization of this, for less distractions and stressful moments. But besides that, it's a fantastic place, please visit and support them.
