Great spot for brunch in Amsterdam! We had a group of 7 and the staff were super friendly, service was quick, and the food and cocktails were all delicious. Quite a few options for vegans/vegetarians, and the vegetarian burger was one of the favorites at the table. If you’re a meat eater, I highly recommend getting a side of the homemade sausage.

Finally a perfect place for a Brunch here in Amsterdam! I really love it… and recommend it! I’ve been there twice and both of them the food was really so good and the staff so kind! Furthermore… The interiors are really beautiful… so what else? Also the coffee wasn’t bad at all (and I say as italian as I am).. 😉

The food is very delicious, the service is superb. The only reason why is not a 5/5 is because it is slightly overpriced, with all breakfast options staring around 15 euros and the portions not being large (the pancake in the picture attached was 15 euros). But it is a great place to have a brunch on a weekend, and the food is delicious. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time because it is always very packed.

Ordered THE SWEET HOT CHICK, which is a combination of a fat buttermilk pancake, fried chicken drenched in maple, chilli glaze and a gooey fried egg. It was the perfect breakfast combo on a semi rainy morning.

Great dinner experience! We found other Google reviews and they were correct! The staff was very accommodating and without a reservation, we were seated right away. The waitress gave a great recommendation. The food was terrific, especially the Parmy and the fried chicken. Great meal!

Has been my favorite place to eat burgers! Smashed burger with kimchi was amazing. Served with fries which were also deliciously seasoned. They have also a menu for the kids. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended to give it a try!

Recently I was just browsing Google Maps and I stumbled upon this amazing place. What a great spot to discover in Amsterdam! The crew is very friendly, attentive and genuine. The food is really good. Tastes great, quality and quantity are on point. I had the “Shak attack (v)”, which is a “Box Sociaal” style shakshuka - two baked eggs in a spiced tomato and paprika sauce topped with marinated feta, fresh mint yoghurt and toasted sourdough (although I did add a thick cut of bacon and some halloumi to it as well…). It’s really good and it tastes exactly the same every time I ordered it. Just the right amount of salt and fresh flavours. It’s can be a busy and crowded place (while maintaining a proper distance from each other, due to current COVID-regulations). Just make sure to make a reservation in advance to make sure that you can enjoy some of their great food and/or drinks. Definitely worth a visit or 2… 3… 4… or more ;) (Oh… and I had a slice of their apple pie as well, which was really tasty. To finish strong you know)

The perfect place to stop by and eat your brunch. We had visited the Artis Zoo in the morning and were starving when found the Box Sociaal. We were welcomed by a nice guy that helped us with the menu choices. The burgers were tasty as well as the juices but unfortunately I have no pictures of it because, as I said, we were starving. But trust me, it was tasty and totally worth it. Oh, and I was positively surprised when a little dog just entered and was welcomed by the staff! Good to know they're animal friendly :)

Delicious scrambled eggs cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Coffee was great too. My only issue is the sourdough toast - I would’ve loved it to be toasted a bit more so it’s nice and crispy on the outside. One I was served with was very doughy. They also have outdoor seating which is great to enjoy your breakfast with a view.

Had some lovely lunch here, light and tasty. Place got fairly busy, but service was quick enough. Unknown if it was expensive, as I have no other point of reference for Amsterdam. Even still, it was good quality.

We went for brunch and the Kip it Real pop up on the same day. The staff are extremely friendly and create a really welcoming atmosphere. The food at brunch was delicious and no less tasty in the evening. Every weekend they are open again in the evenings for dinner. The food is reasonably priced and there's a good range of soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails. My husband said the coffee was the best he's had the entire time we've been in Amsterdam!

We went there for brunch on a Saturday. The place was very busy and crowded. They have really interesting food choices and good options for vegetarians. The food was fresh and delicious. I also really liked the service. Everyone was super kind and attentive.

Energetic staff, solid food, sanity saving coffee. Back again in Nov 2023 and the good folks at Box Sociaal are still going strong. Brunch is the strong suit here and they do it exceptionally well. Just be sure to reserve in advance and be prompt to avoid disappointment.

Amazing food and perfect service. Korean tacos with veggie chicken is a bit small, but with the haloumi Fries in the side it was a really nice meal. Waiters were super friendly and attentive.

This place is a MUST...we was a group of 10 and went here on our last day in Amsterdam. Wish we had gone there sooner!! Everything on the menu is amazing and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Absolutely brilliant for brekkie/brunch especially. We will defo be back and I highly recommend this place...you will not be disappointed.

Location is really nice. We decided to go there for brunch after Micropia museum. I would recommend reserving a table beforehand. We ordered burgers and coffee. Everything was great, burger buns were a bit stale but I think that was rather an exception. French fries are perfect Very friendly staff and delicious coffee! I’ll be coming back

Awesome owners, waiters, nice affordable and tasty food. Possibilitu to choose veggie, meat or fish for dinner. For lunch is brunch so the menu is different, I wish they would have some dinner plates also for lunch. Environment is cozy, next to Artis so you can combine it. It's really little and really busy during weekends so I recommend to reserve online.

I used to order their delicious burgers during covid lockdown times but unfortunately they changed up there menu and don't deliver anymore. Curious as I was to see why they did this I went there to grab a bite and the reason was to get back up to speed now that the restaurants are allowed to open again and I must say it was delicious! They now have a bit more sophisticated menu, as a starter I had a delicious Ceviche Halibut and as a main the pork belly, both mouth watering. I'd say give it a try and support them opening up the restaurant again since it was not that busy for the quality they give and they can use every guest to keep it this way! Good experience there for our first time in Amsterdam. Globally the food was good, the fried chicken on toast was gorgeous but The chicken parma was too dry :( the drinks were wonderful, especially the home made chai latte. The tastier I’ve ever tried. I put 4 stars because the place was way too loud. Not the kind of place to stay if you’re an introvert or want to relax. The service was very good. Finally, it was nice to be seated on the balcony.

This place has had a consistently friendly service and good food with great coffee. Unfortunately it's now ruined by really terrible value for money. Which is a shame, as I liked this place. However the last three times I've been, I've had the creeping feeling like the prices are going up and the portions are less generous. This last time I was charged 7 euros for two poached eggs on one small slice of bread. Added haloumi for 4 euros and got two small slivers. No sides, no garnish. The rest of had items between 11 and 16.50 euros and left hungry with an overwhelming sense of having been ripped off. Won't go back.

Very nice spot in a good neighborhood. Came here from a recommendation of some locals that I met while in Barcelona. Glad I came here. Had the Kim Tacos which had a good amount of spice to them, a solid beer and the table next to me was definitely cracking me up and they knew it. Great time. Would come back again while in Amsterdam!

Cute place next to Artis. The service was good but I would only be back if you can sit outside. Inside it gets super noisy with loud music and has a very restless vibe. The food was good and they had loads of vegetarian options which I did appreciate. Unfortunately some of the dishes are lacking some flavor due to one that’s overpowering them all. The girls working there are quite attentive though and are very quick!

I’m literally writing the review as I finish my meal cause it’s that good! The shrimp toast was sooo delicious on top of the pickled slaw. My husband got the burger with a fried egg… top 3 burgers ever eaten!!!! (And we come from Alberta in Canada which has amazing beef). Service is welcoming and friendly. The drinks were also solid. Mmm!!! We walked in at 2:00pm on a weekday with no wait time.

Delicious brunch, for a very reasonable price. Think about reserving, because they're quite booked. Even with a reservation, you might end up waiting 10min outside, but the waiters are nice enough to offer the drinks if so.

Box Sociaal is a cracking place. I extremely lovely vibe to it. Staff were friendly and on top of superb service. Food was fantastic too. We had brunch but I'd love to go back and have something off their dinner menu. Every product and dish is of high quality that you can tell has been carefully procured together. Overall a lovely experience and will definitely be going back and recommendations will follow to friends and family who travel to this wonderful City! Thanks

Box Sociaal is an excellent and unique place. We loved the decor. The food was spot on. We had the sweet hot chicken and eggs yo way. Both were delicious. Give it a try. It is short 15 minute walk from the Red Light district but the walk is very scenic. You won’t disappointed with this place.

Be sure to book ahead as this place is popular! The food was great, highlights being the fried chicken and the flat iron steak, the latter was cooked to perfection. While it is a little on the pricey side, the portions were generous. Service couldn’t be faulted, friendly, efficient and always with a smile. If you’re in Amsterdam, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I recommend the homemade fried chicken, a speciality highlighted by the establishment. I could taste several dishes and everything was good and qualitative. Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. We had a great brunch that turned into afternoon drinks and the staff was even kind enough to let us finish our drinks, after they had officially already closed. Will definitely come back!

Used their services for catering of a 12 people party, and it was just amazing!! We had both vegans and meat eaters, and all the food was super tasteful, full of flavor and just awesome all way around. The cake was just over the top. 100% recommend. Keep in mind I plated what you see in the pictures :)

The coffee which was a blend of Brazilian and Ethiopian beans was perfection, best coffee I have had in Amsterdam and reminded me of the great Melbourne coffee… the breakfast sandwich was divine and the Kim chi tacos were packed with flavour! For aussies, come and visit here to feel a touch of home from the koalas on the wallpaper, to hearing that Aussie twang when the cafe staff come to bring you some ‘waada’(water). Will definitely include this in our regular brunch rotation now.

We went here on our last day in Amsterdam and it was enjoyable. We were seated immediately and service was very good. I think it is a little cramped which takes away from being able to relax but other than that all good 👍🏼 thank you!
