I was staying in the CASA hotel and I loved it. I was expecting to eat in the restaurant EAST every evening, but my first visit was so bad I didn´t visit this place again during my stay. Thanks to that, I found a lot of awesome places nearby. I came to the restaurant pretty hungry. I wanted to get the menu quickly and tried to make an eyes contact, but I had no success. Even tho the restaurant was rather quiet, it took like 10 minutes and a lot of eye contact, before I was noted. I said I want to eat. The young lady brought me a dutch menu, without a word of explanation. I wanted to ask for an english one, but noone came for another 7 minutes. That was enough for me and I left. As I was leaving, I told the young lady the gave me a dutch menu. She said: I dodnt find any else. Well :) Thats it. I went to a differetn, excelent restaurant and never returned.

A lovely cosy modern restaurant. We went here yesterday without booking a table. It was 18.30 h. It was possible & we could choose where we wanted to sit. Most of the staff is friendly. I took the Dutch seaweed burger, served with fries & a mustard mayonaise. It was super delicious! My husband took the angus steak burger with all of the toppings, also with fries & the same mayo. He drank a white beer from brewery het IJ & I drank sparkling water. I had an earl grey tea afterwards & he drank a white tea,...no room in our bellies for dessert though. There is also an hotel attached.

East has very few options for a vegetarian, I mostly had pancakes without beacon and once a pasta. I loved the pancakes but pasta was not so good. One thing I loved about East is the staff, they are lovely people, always serving you with a smile on their face and they attend to every minute thing. Thank you east for the most delicious pancakes!

Comfort food at reasonable prices considering it’s Amsterdam. One Dutch sausage + 6 pcs of fried stuff (meatballs, spring rolls , cheese sticks) and a 330ml Heineken for 14.50€. The food is tasty, te crew is nice and friendly and the atmosphere of the place is great

Works almost around the clock, which is pretty rare in Amsterdam. Good athmosphere. Really good coffee. Reasonable prices.

If you are looking for breakfast pastries LOOK NO FURTHER. The cinnamon roll at the coffee bar has been the HIGHLIGHT of my stay. Forget those greasy-fatty supermarket pastries. This is QUALITY. So so yummy! Would be awesome if they could offer some syrups for flavored coffee though 🤔

Ordered 2 bitterballen as an afternoon snack, complimentary from Hotel Casa. Waited over 30 minutes, never received the dish, and got blue bitterballened by Restaurant EAST. They were clearly slow rolling us on the free balls. Would give zero stars if I could.

We were here on a Sunday night. Restaurant was very quiet. Reservation was not needed. Staff was friendly and nice. The food tasted well. A bit more bread for the starter would have been nice. Main course could have been a little warmer. The main meet dish was not cold but it could have been a little hotter. That is the reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise I would have given it a 4. Prices are decent for Amsterdam. Local food is a big plus.

From 7 am till 1 am you can enjoy tasty food and drinks there. Perfect for earlybirds or an early breakfast meeting. It’s not only a restaurant, but also a wine bar, deli and spot for good coffee. In the deli they sell the most delicious products to take home. From the wines they serve in the wine bar.

Hamberger of Lakenveiken beef is delicious. If you like seafood, their bouillabaisse is recommended. The house special Gebee beer is super. Friendly staff.

The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Casa Amsterdam. Food is very good, not so expensive. The breakfast here was excellent.

Their events are excellent! Little Fridays (the 5eur cocktails on Thursdays) alone are worth the visit and review, but their Oyster Happy Hour was awesome! Looking forward to the rooftop bar in the summer, and their next events!

Ordered a club sandwich for €12 but should have gone with something else. Great atmosphere and friendly staff nonetheless.

Poor choice of dishes for the dinner menu. Waitresses and waiters all seem to be students (completely inexperienced) and completely unable to cope, this restaurant should spend some money on real staff! Food was good, nice and warm, but too expensive for these small portions. The restaurant is quite loud, more a bar with some side dishes than a real restaurant. Of course, it is a hotel restaurant. Still, there is more potential than what they made out of it. Too bad, really.

Service a bit slow but overall good food and nice place. Price are ok for the quality. Veggie burger is really good. Also tried the cocktail and they were good too.

It’s not a 5/5 because it’s overpriced but it’s definitely good.

This place was unexpectedly great! We ordered the sea bass and octopus dish and both were fresh and full of flavour. So delicious, would recommend!
