Not a great all-you-can-eat experience. We visited the restaurant on my birthday and I was extremely disappointed! The two stars are just for the decoration because it was probably the most beautiful restaurant I’ve been to but the all you can eat experience is not really an all you can eat at all. There are a ton of rules such as having to finish and leave within 1h30’, or that you only have 5 rounds etc which cancel out the whole experience. Additionally, it was not worth €35/pp (excluding drinks) for the food. Although the dishes were tasty, for that much money you would expect a better experience. The service was slow which was not the waiters’ fault it was just too many people but because of that you do not enjoy your food at all. We had to wait almost 35’ for water and there were times when we were served ONE SIGNLE SUSHI and we were two people on the table so we had to wait all the time and while eating we also had to order for next rounds because of the time limit. I would honestly not recommend this place:(

I’ve visited the restaurant since they have all you can eat in their menu. I’d prefer Miso Sushi to Sumo if you are looking for “all you can eat”. (+) The service is good and fast. (+) Waiters are friendly. (+) Price is reasonable. (-) There are variety if food in the menu but lack if different sushi. Miso Sushi has more varieties. (-) Too much rice with sushi, it fills you up.

The fishes aren't fresh at all, the side dishes are microwaved. Very bad experience. The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. The food sucks!!! One small bottle of water cost 3.65 euros. Will never go back again.

AVOID. Terrible staff. Staff don’t even welcome you, just pure awkwardness. The Chinese woman who took us to our table, who I’m guessing is the manager, was awful too. It was obvious she had no care for customers, just money. We asked for tap water, as the 2 fizzy drinks we ordered were tiny and finished in 1 glass. We were told by a waitress that “ she isn’t allowed to serve tap water”. It was obvious the woman felt embarrassed and awkward to even tell us this, but just shows how this restaurant is trash and just money driven. We spent a decent amount of money at this place, to not even be able to have some tap water as we had already ordered wine and fizzy drinks. The sushi was awful quality too, tasted cheap and it’s a scam. It’s “All you can eat” yet when we order sushi they have the audacity to bring only 1-2 pieces on a plate. I’ve never been to such a bad place for sushi. If you want quality sushi, go else where. 0/10

Coming from Melbourne where we have an extremely popular "All you can eat" Japanese restaurant - this was a bit disappointing. The Good: - the food was good - it was a quiet night so service was pretty fast - pretty venue - fried banana was great The Bad: - you can only order 5x rounds of 4x items per round. This might sound like a lot however for context, a plate of salmon nigiri comes with 1x on a plate and counts as 1/4 of your orders for that round. Makes it hard to be able to experience and try all the unique things on the menu. - you're under a time constraint of 90mins with a clock ticking down. You're not allowed to order multiple rounds at once so make sure you eat quick & find time to order in-between dishes. We finished our 5 orders with 13 mins to spare with only 2 of us. I could see this being a bigger issue with a larger group - forced to buy a drink alongside all you can eat (per person) - if you feel like water, make sure you drink before you go or bring your own as they don't offer tap water and the cheapest option on the menu was a bottle of mineral water for 7.95 euros. - you get everything on the menu included except sashimi. This costs 6 euro extra per plate In summary, experience was alright - despite the negatives above the food tasted good. I likely wouldn't return here though.

Not really anymore like it used to be. The sliced duck was cold and portions were really small. Sushi’s tasted bland. They call themselves All-You-Can-Eat but with portions this small it was easy to get to the 5th round. For the price there are better All-You-Can-Eat places in the neighborhood.

I've visited this place twice, and during my last visit, I was quite surprised to spot a mouse 🐁 in the restaurant! I brought it to the attention of the staff, who seemed surprisingly unfazed by it. Despite this unexpected encounter, I must admit that their food is absolutely delicious, and the restaurant itself is quite beautiful. However, the mouse sighting did take away from the overall experience 😄.

we ordered 2x all you can eat (which is limited) and 3x a la cart dishes. the a la cart dishes are very small. slightly larger than the All you can eat portions. The main courses (10€) came WITHOUT rice and without any side dishes like vegetables or similar. After a complaint they only said that the portions are small in every Japanese restaurant. (ridiculous)!! With the limited all you can eat orders, everything came out mixed up (on one plate orders of 2 people) -> but sharing is not allowed. overall NO RECOMMENDATION. Unfortunately, the staff was also totally rude, inexperienced and effortless. I think €33 for a limited all you can eat outrageous, and the food wasn't that tasty. if you want to spend a great day/evening with friends and families, you should avoid this restaurant.

All you can eat. But ordering a drink is a task at itself. The staff is extremely rude and not willing to help (there was only one guy that was supportive) the food often to greasy or even cold. The sushi was medium but other dishes horrible. Safe yourself and don’t go here. I don’t usually write bad reviews. But nobody seem to care at Sumo. 🥲

Spoiler, it's not really "all you can eat" because you get the limited amount of rounds, but if you're not so food obsessed like me, I doubt you'll make it until the 5th round. The food was absolutely great, I have zero complaints on that part, but what I didn't like was the fact we couldn't choose where to sit tho the place was pretty empty and the fact we had to pay as it was dinner althought it was 4:30pm (dinner price starts at 5pm). And you'll see this one a lot in the reviews and it's the price of the drink- 3,95 for 0.22 cola is... But all in all, it was a cool experience to eat so much good food and the staff was amiable. Also, have in mind you have to pay if you don't eat it all (which is great imo), so be careful not to order bigger portion food every round.

Food was nice! You have 5 rounds (3 orders each time per person) and they are pretty fast. I liked the beef with cheese inside and all the other things were good as well. I didn’t try the sushi because I don’t like it, but everything else was good. The price was ok, around 31 euros per person. We reserved online.

Very fancy looking restaurant. We had such a load of food and the variety was amazing. The salads, sushis, grilled fish and the other stuffs were all great. The environment is quite relaxed and they were ready to accommodate us without having pre booked and we were a group of 14 persons. Overall we had a great experience and the service was great as well. The place closes very late so you can chill till about 23.45. I had the black sesame ice cream for dessert and it was really different but still nice.

Even for a non sushi lover this restaurant is offering plenty of options to choose from. I love to order from the iPad as it makes everything very easy. The danger is to order too much. The staff is always very friendly and the funniest thing is they get help from to robot cats! It’s so nice to see these trolleys driving around in the restaurant. But what I like most about this restaurant is the decoration: from all sumo restaurants this is the my favourite as they have the big golden Buddha in the middle. Always a pleasure to dine here! And don’t forget to have some space for the ice cream as that is included on the price.

I have lunch there with my bf. Really good taste. Cool place. Got 5 Rounds @8 menu that you can choice for 90 Minute but you can still there until 120 Minute. The price 23,5€ pro person (exclude drinks). They give you tablet so you guys dont must ask a waiter/s to order. Some menu you must extra pay. The portion small but we only until round 4. We let the last round because of so full. Super restaurant!!

Really hipe place , service very bad , food its ok,but what don't match what u pay and what u get, atmosphere is good when the place is 50 % empty otherwise u sit so close to each other its very bad , its not even 10cm from. One table to other one, u can easily join ur neighbor tables conversation, no privacy, so I don't really recommend.

It's not going to be the best Japanese food you're ever going to eat, but it's tasty enough and it offers good value for money and the service is impeccable. So as long as you go in with the right expectations you're not going to be disappointed.

The personnel was not at all enthousiast on displaying costumer service, so it seemed. They were most likely only hired to ‘Just serve food.’ The menu said we’d have 2hrs with 5 rounds of each 4 items. This appeared to be 1,5 hrs with 4 rounds. It also didn’t mention anything about paying extra for certain dishes. As you can see in the video, simple side dishes and most deserts came with an additional fee. The dishes themselves were okay, anything fried felt old and the salmon filet with wasabi appeared to have been served out to others before us since it had dried up. We decided to pass on this potential plate of food poisoning. As we came there for lunch, when we arrived short after opening on Tuesday, the smell from the toilets suggested that no cleaning had been done since the weekend. Luckily my wife was distracted by the semi-untraditional choice of gangster rap making it a multi-cultural ambiance. When we payed for the lunch, the waitress asked: “Do you need the change back?” suggesting that we’d leave the change as tip. Normally I’d lovingly tip 10-15% but in this case I suggest you find a sushi restaurant which actually has the quality and service you’d like to experience when paying well over €80,00.

Good sushi, good variety, even for people who don't like fish so much, such as me. The salmon mango sushi is the best though. Great atmosphere too, beautiful interior. The yuzu ice cream is a must try.

Delicious sushi and a very good price for an all you can eat buffet. I enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere. Will definitely be going again. My favourite was definitely the deep fried salmon rol :p

Paid €30 for all you can eat sushi. The food was amazing and I was so full. I’m not sure if it’s worth €30 but for an occasion maybe it’s worth a try. I’m not even a huge sushi fan but there’s enough range there to get interested and have a great time. No tap water annoys me always as it’s just a cash grab but oh well, games the game. Service was okay, they just all looked miserable so 3/5 stars for that. Overall okay if you can pay the price. The inside is beautiful.

It's a big restaurant. The decoration is different and the ambiance is a bit dim. We tried the "all you can eat" menu. A total of 5 rounds are ordered. You can order 4 pieces of food per person in each round. The food is delicious, but we were already full in the 4th round. Their sushi is good but not much variety. You place your orders via iPad. Food comes very fast. Don't forget to ask for green tea ice cream at the end of the meal. This ice cream is not on the menu, they just bring it if you want it. The taste is a little different, but it is a unique food here. Waiters were indifferent. They leave your orders on the table without any dialogue. Sometimes it takes time for them to get the empty plates. The restaurant can be tried once to have a different experience.

We've been in total 3 times. First times, some years ago, the food was fine. Today, we came after a long time, and the food is much much worse in quality, oily, heavy, and full of mayonnaise in dishes that I felt it didn't go well. Dishes we didn't order were on our list 🤷‍♀️ water is always overpriced and the moment we ordered coffee the took our bottle with water still inside.

Visited st lunch time, you pay 25€ and get 5 rounds to order. Each round you can order up to 4 dishes, range choice is quite big. It's a great deal and experience! * Drinks not included

You get 5 rounds and a select amount of orders. I didn't think it was enough but boy was I full by the end. The only dessert worthy at the end were the sesame balls, although they are really small

It is the second time we came to this restaurant. It is pretty nice, really good decoration. The location is perfect because you have plenty of bars/pubs around. We chose the buffet menu, you have 90 minutes to eat 5 rounds of 4 dishes each time for each person and we couldn’t keep on going after the third round, is a lot of food. The service is great too, when you choose the order at the tablet they bring you the dishes in few minutes, sometimes you still have the food from the previous round. About the food, I didn’t expect this tasty sushi in a buffet restaurant, surprise. It is so delicious. The only thing I could say that I didn’t like at all is the price of the drinks, but considering it is a food buffet it is normal as well. We will come more for sure. Recommended!

Pleasant and helpful staff. Food of varying quality. The deep-fried shrimp and chicken were excellent, the grilled salmon was dry as dust, and there was far too much ginger in the poke bowl. But they did come up with a very good gluten-free sushi and maki dish.

Stopped by for lunch mid week after the movies and was pretty disappointed. We were one of the few people in the restaurant and we still had issues being served. The 2 servers were also making and eating some of their own food not in demo or break way. Kinda weird to see your server wearing their at home sweats and dangling food into their mouth on their way to your table. Our table and menu were also dirty so hygiene is clearly not a priority at the moment. Food was meh. An I always deduct a point if ice cream costs extra money cause why have all you can eat when a third of the items are extra, dessert should be a standard included item. I can say the space does look nice though.

Great venue, great service. Was really a nice spot to have a meal with some cool robots delivering food. I had to deduct points as it was very expensive (you get 5 courses of 4 dishes, which is too much) and you have to pay 35 euro no matter how much you do or don't eat. Our bill ended up at close to 90 for a glass of wine and a meal (steep for Amsterdam). Also quality of sushi was good, but the other food wasn't as high as the price would suggest.

Nice interior. But busy on the weekends, orders take some time (especially sushi). 90 minutes go by fast, so you have to plan your ordering; this can be a little stressful. But overall a good experience.
