Extremely disappointing delivery, I feel robbed. All toppings were missing, all sauces were missing, one of the side dishes was wrong, presentation was extremely unappealing, buns were sloppy. The normal fries were so sloppy that they went straight into the trash. We ordered through Uber Eats. After calling the restaurant, the person picking up told us that they were extremely busy and that one of the cooks was sick. Then you shouldn’t accept any orders. I would have happily waited another hour instead of receiving this disappointing mess. The manager apologized but said he couldn’t do anything for me due to the busyness. I applied for a refund of €60 (for only two people!), but only got refunded €8 for the missing items. Absolutely horrid experience, I feel like I have been robbed. Never ordering from this place again.

Well we came because of recommendations. It is a good burger. But! It's not that amazing. As a burger lover I like my burgers more juicy and meaty but dont get me wrong! It's good and will be a great lunch but not a burger you will remember in any amazing way (hope you can understand what I am trying to say)

The burger is good but there are plenty of better burgers in the city. Service was good. Short staff, which had a lot of dirty tables in the late afternoon. Got the single patty smash burger. The American cheese should be melted and the bun needs some work. Feels like a bun you'd get in a big chain.

Visited the restaurant after a long day. The shop is not far away from the city centre, around 10 with 15 minutes. It's located in a quiet peaceful street with many shop that hosts every morning a flee market. The restaurant itself is quite small around 4 tables so sometimes it might be difficult to find a seat. The menu has a variety of burgers including beef and lamp meat while they have hot dogs and salads. The prices are good with average 15€ you can enjoy a good amount of food ( the price includes burger's and French fries). The staff is quite helpful. The waiting is around 10 with 15 minutes and it is self service. Also you can choose between ketchup and mayonnaise for your fries. However, the burger is not so juicy. That is quite unpleasant as the beef was medium to well done. Finally, I believe that the burger should be medium rare and not good in order to be juicy and flavorful

I ordered Butcher with Cheese with extra jalapeño. Burger was juicy and meat was good. Burger bun was fresh and perfect. Fries were also really great, but I really want to try their sweet potato fries the next time😋

This was the highlight of my food experience in Amsterdam. I had the fish and chips, and was blown away at how good it was! My husband had the lamb burger and that was amazing as well! The bathroom was a fun added bonus! The staff was so sweet, and service was fast. It's small inside, but worth it!

Service is nice. Burger is eatable. It is very dry patty, no spices no grease. Who has a little taste and doesn't spend their time In McDonald's will not come back here twice.

The burgers were really really tasty and high quality!! While the seating wasn’t the most ideal and the shop was small, i definitely recommend the food. The truffle burger could do with some more toppings but apart from that we had no complaints in regards to the food. The French fries were crispy and the burger patties were cooked perfectly. We did come out of there smelling like smoke and food which wasn’t the best but we didn’t mind too much.

Had a great lunch at @thebutcher_official which is hidden away behind the market stalls. We had cheese and bacon burgers paired with fries. The servings were huge, making it a satisfying meal. The burger patty was juicy and flavorful, and all the ingredients were fresh, adding to the quality of the meal. I opted for the sweet potato fries while the others went for the butcher cut fries. Both were equally good, making it a tough pick for next time. The place is a bit on the small side and the service could be friendlier, but the good food makes up for it.

I like The Butcher chain, burgers are one of the best in the Netherlands as for me. This exact shop is good, however I always like burgers on the Nine streets The Butcher better. Not sure if the meat is different or the way they grill it. But still I’m always happy to grab a burger in De Pijp here. Sweet potato fries are good as well!

Sweet potato fries were delicious, the burgers were ok, tasty but nothing special. Regular fries were a bit raw, mozzarella sticks had no taste and the hot wings were good. But the thing is that we paid 80€ and the portions were small , especially the potatoes and most of all the forgot all the sausages (we had around 5-6 to our order)

Tasty hamburger in town, definitely worth to try! The bread is soft and fluffy and meat is really good. There two negatives which are bad air conditioning and average fries… if you want to eat inside accept to to be smelly after that..

The place is very nice and the food experience there was very good. The staff makes the burger in a proper way. If you care about the having proper meat burgers this is a place to go to, you won't regret it! But one thing that you need to keep in mind, dinning in experience is a bit smoky as the ventelation is not as good in the place specially if it was busy.

The Butcher is the best dirty burger you will get in Amsterdam. They are open late, and taste even better after a few beers on a night out. 10/10 would recommend it to everyone

Disappointed !! We waited 10 minutes outside because they forgot to remove the sign "closed" on the door. When our burgers were ready, they realized they forgot to prepare the fries (frozen, not homemade). The music was way too loud and toilets were not clean at all. Only one great thing : the burgers !

The butcher burger is fantastic! Ingredients and the preparation are top class! Great location, perfect place to have a lunch after heiniken experience, as the butcher is 5min walking from it! Well done to the guys in the kitchen, very professional and friendly! 10/10

Randomly came across it, all I can say is great find and value for money! Super tasty burger, served by very friendly staff. I appreciated bring asked how I would like it cooked. It came fast and went down like a treat. 11 out of 10!

Best burger in Amsterdam! A must to try ! Although the restaurant is pretty small but the food quality is superb! And the location is very close to the Albert Cuypmarkt! The price is reasonable too !

With my wife and daughter we went for dinner in this hamburgers restaurant where we had already been years ago and located in the De Pijp district of Amsterdam with only a few tables inside as they work a lot with take-away service and we ate the same hamburger. The Butcher with cheese with raw Aberdeen Angus beef, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, gherkin & the burger sauce very good abundant flavor with excellent grilled mozzarella as a side dish. You order at the cashier, you pay and then a waiter brings the orders to the table the staff very kind welcoming competent smiling fast service and expensive prices but adequate to the quality of the hamburgers

Loved the smell of the flame-grilled burger. The sweet fries on the other hand were a bit burnt and didn't taste good.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine and we where glad we ate here. This place hands down has the best burger in Amsterdam. Will definitely recommend this to all and will be coming back.

Best burger of the city! Very delicious meat, well cooked and well served. You even eat with your eyes first. The staff is really friendly and the music in the background puts you in a happy mood.

If you would like to waste 1 hour for two burgers to come with the whole restaurant empty, I would recommend you this place 100%. My partner and I went there a few days ago because we were craving of burger. We ordered 2 burgers and some fries and we got lucky that the girl asked the kitchen what was going on with our order. And that happened around 45 minutes after ordering, if not, we could’ve wait more than that… I would like to highlight the blonde guy, he didn’t care about us and he seemed to be the manager. We were thinking that at least they will invite us something and nothing happened, despite waiting for 1 hour for freaking burgers with the whole restaurant empty…
