Hate to give bad reviews but this was a terrible service. Waitress gave us an option to seat wherever we wanted and later on moved while we already were eating our food. So they could seat other people. On a Saturday night you should be ready for this kind of situations and know where to seat your customers for new ones to come in. On addition to this, food is over priced for what you actually get. We ordered nachos for two people and it barely had any cheese and meat. Overpriced for €13.50

Extremely slow service (1 hour and 20 min to get the first course), really expensive for what it is and bad/rude staff. Dishes were not impressive at all, bad presentation, dry chicken, tasteless meat, really small piece of salmon and it was burnt at the bottom. I do not recommend it.

Amazing steak, one of the best one I had in months. Served on grill that kept steak warm and helped us cook some of the parts I wanted to cook more. Nice environment to sit and staff is doing their best to improve your experience. I would totally recommend this one if you are up for nice grilled food.

One of the worst restaurants I have been to. I had to wait for more than 1 hour for the food to arrive. The food did not taste good and was cold. The grilled chicken was really hard and the prawns were really old. The service is terrible

A great location, and there should be no reason to be this bad at this place. Ribs were dry, it says BBQ, but no sause to help the dryness of this tasteless meet. You need to order extra, nothing is included. If you order the 4.50 mushrooms you will get "roasted" mushrooms. More like 5 mushrooms they left in the oven for 10 minutes, no spice, no oil, no sauce left on a plate. Save your money, this place is not worth any of it, and if you read this and thought it wouldn't be that bad and that you afterwards feel I was right, save the effort and let bad restaurants go out of service. Service was poor, no excuses or explaining.I think they know.

Service was incredibly cold and poor. After waving for attention it took 10-15 min to take our orders. Waiter didn't seem to care. We didn't get our starters at all, food was overpriced for the quantity you get. Surf and turf for 30,- gave you 2 small overcooked shrimps and a small steak that was overcooked aswell. No atmosphere music either. Recommend to avoid.

Service was a bit cold and we had different food experiences. The onion soup was good but too greasy, the salad was ok but a bit pricey for what they give you and the steak was served cold and was hard. Also we were served after a couple that arrived after we did, so time-wise I think it was unfair.

Having stayed in Amsterdam over the New year period we tried a few Restaurants and cafes. This was our least favourite, I personally found the food very ordinary, the ribs were overcooked, the fries and onion rings appeared to be straight from freezer to the fryer , they were standard shop bought onion rings and fries, not good . We ate the night before at the opposite end of the road at RAIN and the difference was chalk and cheese. The food at RAIN was exceptional with possibly the best onion rings I have ever had . I would not recommend Downtown and would suggest you go to the other end of the street for a far far better meal , superb surroundings at a very very similar price.

The food was great, and the service was extra special. Lots of attention to all everyone eating in the restaurant, and the food was delivered without any delays. The portions were large and we didn’t manage to finish even though the taste was great. Definitely recommend.

Really good food, fast service and very nice people, i really recommend the chicken with steak! So tastyy!!

Warm, welcoming staff. We all enjoyed our meal. The Fish platter was very good as was the Caesar Burger. Seating was comfortably spaced. Although, it is situated in a very busy area, if you don't want to be part of the throng then look to eat about 6pm to 7pm.

Without a doubt the worst meal we had in Amsterdam. The service was so incredibly slow. We had steaks which came with cold sauces. My friends steak was almost uncooked (asked for Medium) and took over 10minutes to rectify, so the rest of the meals were cold, the chips became cold, the. The meal was 1hr wait from starter to main course. The plates and glasses were left on the table for ages, eventually the glasses were moved to the bar area (next to our table) and remained there for the rest of the meal. When we asked the head waitress for a reduction or resolution she refused and said that we should have complained sooner. Also the boss was away and she was unable to help when the boss was away. There is a strong brand image from the outside but please do not be taken in.

This is the place where we had the best burger. Crunchy bread, with a nice big burger meat and potatoes. If you want a very good burger this is the place. Nice terrace outside.

I recently visited a restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their steak dish. The steak was cooked to perfection - juicy, tender and flavorful. The seasoning was just right, not overpowering the taste of the meat. The side dishes complemented the steak nicely and rounded off the meal. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, adding to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious steak meal.

Had a great dinner at Downtown Grille Restaurant. We stumbled across this place after a day of site seeing. They had plenty of options for our group and food was tasty. Staff was super friendly. I enjoyed our meal and time. 😀

The American stew is literally the most delicious meal I have ever had. The beef was tender and melted in my mouth and the sauce was rich and meaty. Absolutely 100% 10/10. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend this place over anywhere else in Central Amsterdam.

This is the most incredible meal I have ever had!!! We ordered the Tomahawk steak & back wrapped chicken with rice and roasted corn on the cob. The steak was so tender & juicy and so was the chicken. Everything was PERFECTLY seasoned and just YUM! Also the fresh bread and dipping sauce is a must try 🫶 Our server Marina was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. Thank you. ❤️

We went for dinner about two weeks ago. It's a small restaurant, and unfortunately it was filled with smoke from the coffeeshop next door. The staff were very kind and helpful, but there's not much they can do about the smoke. The food was okay, nothing spectacular, althought there was way too much paprika on everything (and I love paprika!). It was just not anything to stand out in the thousands of other restaurants in the city.

Good place on the Amsterdam centrum. The employees were very friendly. The dishes were delicious. Wine and food are good prices. They receive all payment methods.

Worst Restaurant in town or better in the Netherlands. a ICE Cold Steak, a dreadful wine The honey Bacon Chicken ist dried to the bone. If you read this, leave it as fast as you can. I also paid a soup, we never get. Only to get Out of Here.

First of all I should start with the food was okay, it wasn’t great but I cannot say anything bad either. Now on to the service. You get inside and a man greets you, asks me where I’m from; right after us another random couple from our country walks in and he starts going on and on about Amsterdam and his food, let’s just say we (and the other couple) do not care, we just want to enjoy the quiet and the company we brought. This happens a few times. When it’s time to pay the bill he says it’s €75 by card; we should add a tip under the napkin in cash. It wasn’t €75, he added a tip himself and asked for another tip in cash. WE DO NOT TIP unless we want to. This is not the USA. €68,8 is what we paid and we left. Wherever you go, whether it’s here or someplace else, do not fall for it.

I have never left reviews for a restaurant before however I am sat here still not paid the bill and loved it so much I had to review it now. Steak was perfectly cooked and the peppercorn sauce was delicious.

On a rainy monday afternoon, the vegetarian vegetable stew was perfect. Our server was lovely and on every request immediately. its Cozy and nestled on a beautiful busy Amsterdam intersection of bike paths. Warm and friendly!!
