AVOID, TOURIST TRAP. I don’t know how this place is still open. DISGUSTING! Overpriced food, 0 quality and 0 customer service. First of all, the shop is dirty, the garlic sauce bottles had build up sauce on the top and the table was sticky. Secondly, the food was undercook. My lamb was completely red inside. I did tell the rude shop owner that my meat was undercook and he gave me the rudest look ever! Before our meal came, he did bring us a portion of pita bread, which we DID NOT order. We thought it was for free. But it wasn’t! Please avoid the to the pita bread trap. That hideous guy will charge you 1.50€ for a ridiculous portion of bread without even order it. When we check the bill, we saw that it was 11€ extra. He did charge us for another kebab! When we asked what that one came from, he didn’t even give us an explanation, he just simply said yes yes and remove it from our bill. I insisted that we didn’t order the pita bread and he should give it for free. He was so stubborn, it was unreal. When he gave us the change, he just chucked it to us on the counter. Please AVOID! Such an unpleasant experince.

The restaurant was very close to my house. I found this while searching for Halal food. I ordered this chicken dish. Alhamdulillah the food was good. The best thing was that the whole time I was in the restaurant, the recitation of the Holy Quran by the famous Egyptian Kari Basset was playing. I enjoyed it very much.

On the menú we saw chicken pita + fríes 9,99€ then We thought the final price would be fine but it definetly wasn’t. 3,99€ Per a small bottle Of water?? Are you crazy? Totally disapointed. We won’t come back.

    1. Food was almost raw. 2. Service couldn’t be worse than this. In general they are not friendly. A female group were having dinner and they complained about something. The staff were very aggressive with them, and when they asked to see the manager he was even worse. Surprisingly, he escalated super fast and started to curse the guests and wanted to fight with them. 3. Prices are not the same as the menu. In addition they trick you to pay more. Example, offer to bring you sauce with the fries in a way that you think it’s free and then ask you to pay like 5 euros for it in the end. For me, I order extra bread and paid 20 euros for it! That’s even more than the main dish. I think that’s why he keeps fighting with guests after all. 4. They charge 2.5 euros for service I don’t why. 5. Cash only and they don’t say in the beginning.

Worst place ever. 10€ for a kebab and a Fanta. Kebab was just an heartless rewarmed bread with tasteless meat and three tiny slices of salad. That’s it. Shop owner almost forced us to pay cash (what we didn’t had). Guess to put it not on the list. Prices are also nowhere to see. U just think of something good and when u here the price, u see at each face shock but no one dare to say no anymore 😅 human being I guess 😅 just don’t want to be rude. But anyway, added a photo of my „delicious „ food.

The meat is completely toxic and dirty. After the first bite you better consider to stop eating this because of the risks to your health. I wish you a nice day and keep away of this restaurant.

We ordered a 12.95 plate and a 15.95 plate. My friend noticed something was wrong as soon as we entered, they literally took the menu back from us. When we went to the cash register, the bill suddenly showed 60 Euros and they wrote down a lot of extra things they wanted. We both still calculate it, and amount doesn't reach 60€ even with the extras they wrote. Also, cards are not accepted. I think it's because of taxes. Portions are also small as all Europe kabab restaurants. They offer you something like free and you have to pay them more than your meal. Our meat was also undercooked. It was a literally tourist trap. Those fries are also extra and they are so expensive and they were also on pic on the menu. So meat is halal but the money they make is not

I don’t usually write reviews but this was just too much. The owner is clearly a scammer. I read the reviews but I didn’t think they’d be soo true. They will force you to pay with cash or else they will charge you extra by card. They will ask your card and make the payment themselves so they’ll charge you 50 cents or one euro higher. Clearly a tourist scam

To be honest, I read many reviews after I ordered and I was concerned. But the food turned out to be great and the service was good too. Prices were exactly as written in the menu. The owner was friendly too.

Less than Ok place, un-reasonably expensive. Was charged double the money for the item compared to the other shawarma shop for chicken sandwich and Falafel sandwich (broodje) Food also tasted weird for sure, either old chicken or something else. Wouldn't visit again for the same price.

Should have read reviews first. This is way overpriced. 28 Euros for 2 wraps and 2 iced tea. Chicken was raw in one wrap. Shwarma was ok, but after seeing the raw chicken we stopped eating the food. Terrible experience.

Chicken was sour, dunno if it was due to sauces or if it was due to old chicken. I really did want to stop eating after the first bite but since other good Turkish halal restaurant was closed, we had no other option nearby. Plus the chicken Shoarma was almost €13, money wasted. My friend got shoarma with rice but he also said no yum element in taste.

beware!! Prices are not included. The owner is a con artist. Shawarma wrap. Shawarma is about the size of an enchilada (small) wrapped in tin foil. The meat was dry and tasted bad. The price of shawarma was 9.50 euros, it was requested to pay in cash, but when I paid 10 euros, beware!!

Service and the attitude of the people couldn't be any worse. If they offer money to eat there again on top of free food, I wouldn't do it! If you expect at least the basic level of decency and respect, don't go to this place!!

We were 8 friends on a vacation in Amsterdam. We ended here on a nightout and ordered a pita each. The guy repeatedly tried to trick us into paying more than it cost. (It was clear that he was doing this to tourists on a Daily) We payed seperatedly and each one of us had to tell him he hadn’t typed the right Price in his Dusty machine. Bad service, good kebab tho

Overpriced & charges a "service fee". Doesn't take card (employees lie about the card machine being broken, but it seems to be broken every day judging by all of the other reviews). The food is also not good.

I would put -1 if possible. Worst service ever in Amsterdam. The old man at the entrance was quite rude when I just asked if I could pay by card (which wasn't the case). I didn't leave the place without the bottle of water just because I was really thirsty.

Terrible food, terrible service. We ordered chicken and lamb plates. The only thing edible was the chips. They don’t know how to cook here. The lettuce was actually bitter. The meat was cut too small and was very greasy. The owner is very rude and cheap. The place itself is dingy and dirty. We saw a cat from the street walking into the restaurant and going into its back room. Don’t waste your money here. Anything else will be better. This place needs to close soon.

The Master First, we found the chef yelling at a customer. The smell of old oil fills the place. My friend ordered the kebab and I ordered the kofta. The taste was terrible. In short, if you want a bad dining experience, try Kebab House.🤮

I found this place yours ago, and it had become my go-to place for a late night Shawarma Pita after a day of drinking beer in Amsterdam.... when the father was running the place.. He would give me fresh hot Shawarma on a pita with some great homemade sauce and a big pile of french fries... fresh and hot. I thought the place was great, and food was great. I really didn't care about the cost. The last few times I was in here to see him, the son was there being trained to take over the business....or ruin it. As in many other reviews, there was a lot of yelling and screaming. I guess eventually, the father has had to retire, and the son has taken over the place. I was there last week. He and his buddy were running it. I ordered a shawarma pita. What they brought to my table was a shawarma wrap. I said "hey I ordered the pita?" The friend laughed and said,"Oh yeah, we don't have the pita today, " and turned around and walked away. I almost got up and left it on the table and walked out of the place, but I was very hungry. There were about 10 french fries on the plate..... About a third of what the father used to give. I sat there and ate my sandwich in disgust, watching them work in the kitchen as the crowd built. They looked over a few times and laughed at me because I was eating the food they threw down in front of me, like a stupid drunk American. When I got up to pay, he asked how my food was. I said "it sucked. You give me something I didn't order and expect me to eat it and pay for it? You should have told me you didn't have the pita when I placed the order." We had a heated conversation on my way out the door and told him I would not be back. His father would be so ashamed and so should he. The music they play is very authentic Al Jazeera. There are better places to eat in Amsterdam. This will not be on my list any longer.

The owner is very rude and food is horrible. Be aware of this place… I went to crystal halal food place. It was much better than this place. Please try a small portion before you place your order.

Horrible. Very poor, unfriendly service. Sub par kebab. Edible but would not recommend unless you are desperate. Do not recommend. Do yourself a favor and make the trek to Leeman Döner. That place is worth your hard-earned euros.

Terrible atmosphere right from the start. Got a bad vibe when there were no prices on the menu. Became annoyed when I asked to pay by car and when he put through the €25 for my meal it declined. Turns out when I got coverage it was declined because he tried to put it through as 85 under a different merchant name. Horrible place MUST AVOID

I go here all the time and get a swarma wrap and my misses gets a falafel one we both have chips and a can of coke each. The foods tasty in my opinion. Service isn’t the best you feel unwelcome when you’re there but it’s fast enough. I’m sure they make the prices up every time we go as it’s never the same but always between €21-30 They don’t accept cash and the nearest one is €4 to take money out if I remember correctly. I’ve been to worse places though! Oh and the toilet… see for yourself. 😂😂

The best halal restaurant to eat in Amsterdam Centraal. Amazing food, mainly Turkish cuisine, and very good prices. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. You should definitely try it if you're in Amsterdam.

Had an amazing experience here. The staff was quick and responsive. Just what you need as a tourist when you are short on time. We were a group of 3 friends visiting Amsterdam for the first time. And it was delightful to find halal food at reasonable prices. The shwarma and pita were delicious. We liked the fries as well. Everything was fresh and warm when served. The restaurant also had a clean restroom which is highly appreciated.

Tourist trap After ordering they ask you if you want sauces but never said than each one have an extra cost of 2€. At the end you eat fries with ketchup, mayonnaise and a little cheddar sauce on the kebap and have to pay 6 extra euros. Wish you the worst soretes.

Scammers, I should have read the reviews before. They offer you something in a way you think it's free (and it should be as in all the other places over the world) and then they charge a very high price for it. We ordered two plates for 26 euros and we were charged 37 euros. I asked for the bill to see why and found out that the bread that came with the plate was charged separately and so were the sauces in the table. They also charged us for the service and they added some extra that we didn't know about. Food is halal but the prices they charge you and the way they make it is not. My sister-in-law brought water from outside, the guy there told her we also have and we would bring it to you if you asked us for it, "we are all Muslims". I doubt they are.
