I am usually not a critic but this one deserves it. I have been to this place a many times, unfortunately with every visit the level of service keeps on decreasing. Went there again this Sunday afternoon for some live music. The place was completely dis organised, people were waiting in the queue to enter but there was no one to tell them if they can grab a table or do they need to wait for some one to let them be seated. Asked one of the waitress and the reply was "i don't know, today is a mess". She seemed to be very stressed with work. After 15 mins of wait in the queue, we managed to find a table on our own. Table was very dirty. We asked for menu and to get the table cleaned, after 20 mins a waitress cleaned the table to a level where we had to clean again with some tissue or else sleeves of our tshirts would have been dirty. Menu was still missing, we grabbed ome from nearby table. Considering how much time it was taking, we decided to order main course plus dessert in one go. Main course came after 30 mins and was bit cold but still was delicious. Once we eat main course, our plates were taken away, we reminded them that we have ordered desserts as well, we were told they are on their way. 30 mins passed after last reminder, we reminded again that we are still waiting for desserts, same answer they are on their way. After 50 mins of waiting we paid for main course and left without a dessert. This is the end of my visits to Pllek

Super fun and interesting. Menu is mostly good. Reviews from our table in the wild boar sausage were mixed. I loved my courgette flower and the burrata. Great server! She even took a photo of the olive oil they use for my friend who loved it. Beautiful plating.

Enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Pllek Amsterdam. The avocado toast with ricotta was truly delicious, hitting the right notes. The cozy atmosphere, complemented by the charming oven, created a pleasant setting. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, making the experience even more enjoyable. A solid five-star recommendation for a lovely breakfast outing.

The food was great and fast deliverd. Personally I found the temperature high which was a little uncomfterable. The dish I had was called "The Wild Dog" and can be seen on the photo(would recommend in the winter months) Overall great place to lunch with a nice view, good service and food!

A cool place to grab a drink or snacks. They have a mini beach where some live music takes place every now and then. We came here for the Photo Booth on the second floor. Very fun shooting process: it’s hard to be prepared and the photos are unpredictable. But that’s the fun part!

Five star for the atmosphere Two star for the food One star for stupid kids playing soccer Never thought I would come to the north to hang out with friends. This place is super cute and fake beach is very chill. The food…… very basic. The fish I ordered is basically white toast with can fish. Like….ummm…okay… While we were chilling out side enjoying the view. There were bunch of stupid kids playing soccer. Then, they kicked my wine which were spit all over my jacket. My mood was totally ruined so we leave. Pllek staffs should have warned those kids to stop. Quite disappointed afternoon because of these stupid kids.

Great place in Amsterdam to escape the crowds and to have a drink and some food. Food menu is limited, but the quality is perfect. You can order and pay using a QR code, so no need to grab the attention of a waiter

Great place for the ambiance and to have a nice night out in a different ambiance. Dinner menu was a bit limited and I felt slightly overpriced for what was offered. The food was good but not exceptional and was a bit disappointed by the Curry which was more of a beat sauce than traditional curry. Service was friendly but a bit slow

A lovely place to spend the day on a warm day. Close to canal, so you can see the boats etc. Food and service is good. You have to book on a sunny day as it gets very full with long queues. Also great to walk around the area. The restaurant has great deco.

Plenty of seats inside and outside. Some flies is a little bit bothering. Hamburger seems to be simple, but the meat is excellent! The cucumber is nice! Not like normal caned ones or sort of things, it’s much fresher and delightful. I guess you can find whatever you like to drink here. Cause it’s simply too many seats, even the staff is plenty enough, they still take time to come to your seat sometimes. Expect to wait longer here.

Five stars for the location, three stars for the food (value for money definitely not worth it: curry dish was good not worth 20€ as well as a piece of brownie 8€ especially as we ate it on our laps during the open air movie night). Four stars for the movie experience, I felt it was too crowded so it would be best to regulate the number of people joining by reserving before coming in. We even didn’t get to sit properly on a chair / bench / pillow or long chair.

Very nice place to relax and have a drink. We were here on Jan 2nd and it was raining so the terrace wasn't open, but the inside was cozy and relaxing. Fast service and great ambience. Plus a sweet kitty came to our couch.

Good selection for vegan and vegetarian. Love the ambiance with the disco ball hanging above a beautiful fire place. There is seating for small groups but also for large ones. Recommend for team outings. Only thing was findings this place. Seems to be hidden in a corner. They could have better signs.

It looks very unassuming from the outside but the inside is like a lovely huge lit warehouse setup with comfortable seating and these pictures are from peak January winter. I recommend their coffee and dessert. The food was good too! Great stop to hangout. There are steps leading to a few tables upstairs as you can see in the picture.

Interesting building, made of containers, with a nice atmosphere inside. Sunday it was continuously packed. There are children’s activities from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday’s, this makes the place kids friendly. After 5pm there was live music. Very nice, but conversation is about impossible then. The menu was limited, but had some plates for kids, again adding to the place’s kids friendliness. Altogether a nice and relaxing experience!

Pllek has a very nice location overlooking 't ij. Great atmosphere and good food. We were able to have lunch without making a reservation. There's an interesting choice of lunch items and most are great to share.

One the best views in Amsterdam! Poor lunch menu. They could easily rename the “wild burger” to “frisbee burger” frozen patty on grill! Yikes!

need to visit while in Amsterdam, just take a F4 ferry to Noord Amsterdam from terminal, it is free and take just 10 min. Food is delicious, fish (sea bass), beet salad and various appetizers are spectacular. Prices are reasonable and you can spend an afternoon here. i would recommend to get there around 4 pm if you get later you will find a wait time for a table.

Great location.. Must be really nice in the summer.. You have to order through a QR code that brings up the menu and then they are calling your name in order to serve it to you.. The staff is really friendly and they do the best they can considering the circumstances..

Such a beautiful place, warm and welcoming. The perfect place for a chill, Amsterdam afternoon. Drinks are great, food is too, just wish there were more vegetarian options. Will be visiting again and again!

The atmosphere is nice of course, especially when the weather is nice. The pillows to sit on the sand are a nice touch. Service on the other hand is very slow and it takes a long time to get peanuts and a simple drinks. Mixed drinks take proportionally longer. In terms of food we avoided orders since drinks took so long.

Went on a weekday on a cloudy morning and it was delightful. No one was outside but I think I saw heat lamps on the deck if people wanted to be. The DJ decks were resting inside indicating the poster outside of their 11 PM - 3 AM parties are probably a really good time. I better weekend summer days and nights make for a really good time which is unsuspected in this restaurant setting. Wish I could’ve seen it at night. The food was delicious.

Love the cozy atmosphere. I enjoy going there any season, inside or outside it is really nice to hang out with friends for drinks. The problem is, it is always crowded and not that much options for the food. I can still give 5 stars because I love it there.

Came here on a recommendation and we ended up leaving a bit disappointed. We did not have a reservation but were told that we'd likely get seated since were just a party of two, and in this regard they came through. We were seated fairly quickly. The atmosphere is trendy and kind of fun, it's got a good view of the water and is built inside of these shipping containers. The place was busy and patrons were all smiling and happy and looked like they were having a good time. It was a good first impression. After being seated it took a while to put in an order. Actually, after a while someone came up to us and asked us what we wanted even though we hadn't been given menus yet, so it took a while just to get the menu, then another wait before our order was taken. The staff were friendly but a bit inattentive. I ordered a fish dish and it looked nice, but ended up being quite a disappointment. Perhaps it was the particular fish but it had very little in the way of flavor, it was cooked well enough but just had no taste. I felt like I could have just been eating a salad rather than grilled fish. The sauce was also pretty low on flavor. Maybe more salt would have helped but overall it was a big letdown after the initial impression and the price. Ended up finishing quickly and hastily leaving as I was not looking forward to trying anything else.

The location of Pllek is fantastic. You can get there with a free ferry from Amsterdam main station. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking and you have direct water access fro the summer. The food was good. The scrambled eggs were definitely more intriguing than the shakshuka. The drinks were fine.

Place has it’s charm as it has waterfront and weird containers-meet-warehouse vibe. Menu has become bit shorter now but good presentation and taste. Service is as slow as ever, but the qr code scanning is better than old menu’s. I most likely will return as well as will recommend the place.

We visited for lunch and had an amazing cod salad dish with sea vegetables. It’s a place with real atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed a mild day and loved the views over the IJ. They have a good draft beef too. But the cod dish was absolutely brilliant. We like to think we’re a couple of foodies, and this far exceeded any expectations. Service was typically Dutch (casual to the point of non existent). No one greeted or even acknowledged us as we arrived and meandered through the restaurant, though there were several staff members around who passed us. I am used to Amsterdam so knew we would have to ‘find’ a server or we would sit unattended forever. So I’d did and when free she then came to the table and asked if we’d like a drink, of course she didn’t have the drinks menu with her so I asked for it. When she came back to take the drinks order, I had to ask her to now go and get food menus! She was friendly but clearly no one ever trains them how to be efficient.

Fantastic place to build a bar. Nice view with the river. We enjoyed our beers outside with our friends. The atmosphere was vibrant. The staff was very polite and reachable. Definitely I will drink my beer again in my next vacation to Amesterdam. All the best!!

Waterfront Marvel. A day at the beach without leaving Amsterdam. Love the atmosphere and the design choices. A full great experience. Just take the free ferry from Central Station and after 15 minutes (or so) you will dock in this new and super interesting side of the city. A must see and try both for locals and tourist. Don't miss it. Enjoy

We came in the North part of Amsterdam to visit the Amsterdam Street Museum in a rainy summer Sunday. We decide to have lunch in the neighborhood and finally end up in Pllek. Nice athmosphere, quite busy but, surprise surprise, the service staff was friendly and attentive, the food came in a reasonable time and was of good quality. We had falafel, Mackerels and burger. Well done!!!

Very nice place! First time here it accommodated a group dinner and it was lovely! The only exception is that you reach here by ferry and so one has to organize really good to reach dinner time and come back in the ferries before midnight.

From other reviews it looked like more of a restaurant, at night it seems to be a club though. Super cool neighbourhood in general, NDSM, easy to reach with the ferry which is for free, and also the Pllek was super uncomplicated, just walking in, big dancefloor, and especially the outside area with bonfires at the beach was amazing. Cocktails were quite strong, so that‘s good, tastewise could have been a bit better. Really liked the place and would definitely recommend.

I went there with some friends and we had an amazing dinner with some drinks and it was all great: natural, simple and lovely. The place is cosy and vibrant, staff friendly and bathrooms are simply amazing (the purple one is the best). Can't wait to be back!

Amazing restaurant! Great attention to detail, and the place itself is beautifully located. Even when the place was completely crowded, I was served within minutes. The food itself was unique and delicious, and well prepared. I'll definitely be coming there another time!

One of my favorites in Ámsterdam!! A must in NDSM área! Everything is amazing!

  • 5/5 Marissa H. 2 years ago on Google
I would come here for the unique vibes. The restaurant is in a really cool area, very different from the center of Amsterdam. Edgy, upscaled recycling-- loved it, such a breath of fresh air. The restaurant itself is massive, with a big outside area and nice views of the water. The service was a bit on the slow side, but the food (lots of vegetarian options) and atmosphere was great. If you're here to chill and enjoy the vibes, you're in the right place! We had drinks and snacks on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Stood in line for a bit to get the QR-codes checked, which didn't take too long. But I would recommend to make reservations just for the ease.

They have the best food ever with the best cooks and the best staff. I highly recommend their vegan dessert Noreen’s Mango Tapioca, it’s super delish you will feel like you’re in the Philippines. 😄 The place is wonderful and very comfy, you will feel like home when you dine in. 😊
