If you would like to know more about the Netherlands and at the same time want to enjoy a 5d experience , This is Holland is the best place . It will cost you 18€ per person , you can get it online , offline both . My suggestion will be online, then don't have to wait much in queue . There it displays three different videos in dutch with English subtitles. It gives you a brief about Netherlands history, it's straggle with water overflow, building dams and it's cities . The video at the end is about 5d without glass , it will give experience off travelling in an aircraft . This is a really awesome experience I had in my entire life. You can't compare other 5d movies with this one. In this place you can have coffee, beer and other beverages with a small snack. The price is normal only. Free 🚻 also available.

An amazing attraction. I thinks it's a must-go when you are visiting Amsterdam. Particularly enjoyed the 5D flight which was surprisingly impressive and fun. There's a possibility to buy a combined ticked for This is Holland and A'DAM lookout. We thought it was worth it.

I was excited to try This Is Holland because I really love flying theater. This one is accessible via the free boat to cross the river. The staff was very friendly and funny which was amazing. Keep in mind that the flying theater show last only few minutes and it’s really similar to the one in Epcot or Europa Park. I just found it a bit more thrilling but nothing too bad. I was very anxious as I hate thrill ride but it turned out totally fine. Definitely something I recommend for anyone who loves this kind of ride.

This is an amazing ride We went for the last show on Sunday evening. It was no rush in queue If you are here in Amsterdam for a shot period like 3 to 4 days and fancy to visit Real Holland like country side, then this is your saviour. It's like a 35 minute show and broken in 3 parts. Last part was amazing and thrilling It's a life time experience using 5 d experience You sit in a flying chair and experience the real Holland and Amsterdam from Air. Note Kids below height of 1 meter can't go. We were lucky that our 4 year kid reached 100 cm and was allowed to get into the ride.

The place wasn't crowded, and I recommend checking out the aero show that delves into Dutch history. Looking back, they could trim down the lecture time and enhance the flight experience. It's reasonably good for the price, but I think more flight time would be appreciated. The entire visit took about an hour, mainly due to the slow-moving queue from one room to another.

This was such a fun experience and I easily recommend this attraction for those visiting Amsterdam. Definitely do the 5D flight, you will be glad that you did. The attraction goes through a thorough history on Holland and how it was developed. This is all done with a virtual tour guide that makes the experience pleasurable. It all ends with the 5D simulator flight which was so much fun!

A great attraction that shows the history of the Netherlands in a very beautiful and special visual experience. In the first two rooms you see a video, the third room is the flight experience. It is necessary to make a transfer to the row of chairs. High quality Educational Entertainment! Accessible toilets.

What a fun and immersive experience you can have in Amsterdam! This 5D ride will leave you in awe with the beautiful flight over Holland. Definitely worth a visit if you’re planning to visit Amsterdam.

Lovely attraction, definitely worth a visit while you are there! The experience was immersive and fun, all staff were lovely and polite, and it was a great chance to learn about the beautiful country you're visiting while in Amsterdam! The flight experience is a must-do, and I don't want to give too much detail and ruin the surprise for others, but it was a lot of fun and definitely great value for money!

One of the must visit tourist spots in whole Amsterdam. The experience of flying in a flight simulator while exploring the rich culture and whole country of Netherlands is very exhilirating and amazing. That was the very highlight of your visit there, the 5D flight simutlation. I never knew of this place since I only knew the usual tourist spots in Amsterdam like the Rijksmuseum, canals, the red light district, coffeeshops, etc. But after the 'This is Holland' experience, I will difinitely recommend going to this place 💯

Book ticket early also go for combo ticket. There are three rooms in total. Last room is 5D experience, and thats only worth visiting. Rest two rooms have introduction to Holland in dutch (with English subtitle, which is hard to read because screen is close to eye). Just go for experiencing best 5D experience and history of Holland.

Very nice 5D experience. I'm not used to decent attractions in the Netherlands, but this one exceeded my expectations! First you get a bit of the history of how The Netherlands lived in harmony with the water around it and after that you'll "fly" over the Netherlands. Nicely done!

The actual experience is pretty cool and atmospheric - I enjoyed it. It's in an interesting building too on the north side of Amsterdam next to the A'Dam Tower just a short ferry trip from Centraal. Only thing I would say is that it's a bit pricey for what it is. I had the I Amsterdam Card so it was included in the cost of that.

Just loved it. We went there to reach Zaanse Schans and the village was outstanding. Covered up with natural beauty and windmills it offers a lot of scenic views. Eva was our guide and she was cheerful and knowledgeable. Just loved it.

We did an expedition to Edam, volendam and Zaanse. It was really worth it and better than what I was expecting. We tried a lot of cheeses and saw a windmill inside. The guide and chauffeur were very nice.

Absolutely worth to visit! It is the similar entertainment technology what the Universal Studios use in Los Angeles. Amazing feeling to flying over Netherlands! Free to visit with Amsterdam City Card. 👍🇳🇱

AMAZING! We finished this program on the last day at Netherlands. It’s nice to “fly over” the sites we have visited and have a look from a different angle. The presentation is artistic excellence. Must do in Amsterdam. It’s included in the I Amsterdam city card, so to me the price is not an issue. If you have the city card, don’t miss it!

I'd expected a little more, but the last 5D experience really worth it! It is like you are on a plane and you are flying above whole Netherlands. You can see storms, fields with tulips, castles, people ice-skating. You can even smell the flowers and grass, you can feel the drizzles of water and the air. This "flight" made me really happy and excited!! It really brought me higher than weed!🤩

We had a wonderful time at This is Holland! Definitely recommend to go there when you are in Amsterdam! The flight was very impressive and gives you a good impression of the Netherlands, especially when you are only visiting Amsterdam. The price also includes a small interactive exhibition after the flight where you can get more details about the places you saw during the experience.

The experience is a truly amazing and immersive experience and is something for the whole family. It is arranged over a couple of floors. You begin in the waiting area which has a small cafe and you are then taken upstairs to a gallery with a printed wall covered in the traditional Dutch blue-white tiles. There are also quiz machines to test your knowledge of The Netherlands. You are led into an area where you have your photo taken. You are then taken into the first of three rooms. The first room tells the history of The Netherlands in a very clever and entertaining manner. It is narrated in Dutch with English subtitles. The second room explains what you will see during your "flight" over The Netherlands. Then comes the actual flight. I am not going to spoil it by telling you what happens but it is so much fun and so realistic I felt a little travel sick after it had finished! After the ride, you go downstairs into the gift shop which has some rather nice souvenirs. You can also buy your reasonably-priced photos as a download from here. It was well worth the visit and I shall go back when I have more visitors.

As AMAZING as the 5D flight experience was, our description of it will NEVER justify how amazing it really was. I totally understand that no camera is allowed but it would have been amazing if they had a camera in front of everyone to capture our reactions because OH MY GOD!! It was AMAZING!! And am sure everyone will pay to have the video downloaded on their phone, at least that’s how other places in Amsterdam did it, even the A’DAM LOOKOUT and The Upside Down, and that way we were able to show family and friends how much fun we had on our flight experience. Maybe something to think about because, did I mention it was AMAZING!?

It is a 5D simulator flight where they put you on the fun ride. They take you through some history and geography of Holland. The vegetation, the significance of the dams and wind mills. I booked the show in package with madam tussauds and dungeon. The show last about 30min and there is always some line because the show starts at certain times. It is better to book the ticket in advance. They have the locker for 1eu charge.

    Visited with my 4.5 year old daughter (min. height for entry is 102cm) and she absolutely loved the last part (flight simulation) of the experience which is divided into 3 modules- It starts with a narration of a brief history of the Netherlands on a theater screen with engaging visuals (narration is in dutch with english subtitles and duration of this module is 8 minutes), for the part 2 you need to take the elevator to a upper floor and module 2 lasts for around 5-8mins. It is also a pre-recorded message on things to keep in mind for the flight simulation (Module 3) which is the best part and the highlight of the visit. The flight simulation takes you through varied Dutch Landscapes - tulip fields, windmills, royal palace, Rotterdam port, Amsterdam canals, etc. The multi-sensory experience lets you smell the tulips and lavenders and you get sprayed with water as you come closer to sail boats etc. All in all, it is definitely worth a visit. Better to book online as slots run out quite quickly;

A great introduction to the Netherlands, and excellent experience—the trivia, the videos, the fly-over (which was very good—good music, so many landmarks, and some excitement). Great for kids!

Well, what can I say.... Booked a full day of visits and sight seeing. We ended up being taken to one side as we were about to board the coach and told we were supposed to be on a different one. Our coach was due to leave at 9am, we were still waiting at 9.45. They eventually boarded us on to another coach and it became quite apparent it wasn't the trip we paid for. 4 people were left standing on the coach as all seats were taken, probably because they put me and 3 friends on said coach so it was overbooked, but this didn't seem to bother the driver and we set off on our journey. We ended up only visiting 2 of the sites we were supposed to visit that day and not what we originally paid for. All abit of a shambles. We enjoyed the cruise and the gardens, just a shame we didn't get what we booked. Just updating said review on the back of their reply. We did book this trip through this is Holland, I have provided a picture from the receipt we received. They also said that we would receive a full refund due to their mess up but have now backtracked and are arguing the toss, even though we have it in writing that a full refund was going to be given. Make sure you get what you paid for and don't expect a refund if you don't. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

The flight simulation was amazing!! We only wished it was longer, it takes 9 minutes but such a different experience. It’s suggested if you’re hesitating:)

This was a beautiful experience. You'll get to learn an important history about Holland. The biggest surprise is that once you buckle up and take a trip around Holland and its 12 provinces, you will be amazed.

Must visit places in Amsterdam. Worth so sped on The tickets. The 5D expensive is really superb. Wonderful technology used to make you feel like you are flying over Amsterdam and doing a tour of Holland. Fling over land, water, mountain, city moment.

It's really nice experience. I enjoyed my visit to this place. Even staff is very helpful and nice. Only thing I missed in flight experience is how Holland look in winter. Can you add some portion of winter in 5D flight experience? It will really nice and wonderful experience of winter in 5D flight

Amazingly connects past and today's Holland through thrilling 5D flight experience. Must visit in Amsterdam.

A must to visit especially for the 5D experience. There are 2 presentations of the history of Netherlands that are made with humor and are very nice to be watched and after that you literally fly over the country in the 5D projector.

We planned my daughter's birthday party with her friends. Girls had an amazing time and the flight experience is thrilling for kids and adults too. Definitely recommend!!

You can buy tickets with voucher (nothing special) that can obtain in the desk that located exit gate but ticket officer is selling the list price while you can get half price almost with no sense voucher paper. Be aware of this. Don’t pay too much. Secondly it is 15 minutes show and not 1 hours. First two shows is just general information. 5D is nice but image quality is rubbish.

  • 5/5 Pria B. 2 years ago on Google
The best experience we had in Amsterdam was this show. I can proudly say that I have seen everything there is to learn about the Netherlands. No photos were permitted but I took this one. You just have to go and see.

What a great experience. In the first two steps you will get "prepared", then after this the flight experience over Holland is something magical.

  • 5/5 Gabi G. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience! Nice staff and beautiful views plus some history details! Only downside is that it’s in Dutch with English subtitles- so for all other foreigners there is no translation. But great for the rest

  • 5/5 Maylinn On R. 2 years ago on Google
Learn about NL in a fun way. You start this experience by taking pictures, move to the next area where you can take a digital quiz about NL while you wait for the first little movie to start. The last room is where you take a seat and buckle up for a fun flight over NL. You feel wind and a little water while flying over the sights. The screen was a bit blurry at times but overall it was a great experience.

One of the best things to do in amesterdam. For the whole family. It's fun and you will understand the country and culture a bit better. Thank you! And keep going!

  • 5/5 Sergio B. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the Best new experience of last years. 5 stars are barely enough to describe it. Complete new way to discover some lost paradises of entire country. Definitely "must" visit. (We were on a plain day and with "I Amsterdam" card, so with no problems to go inside without actually having booked. But due to capacity of 20 people at once it'll be better to book a time slot)

  • 4/5 Guust de w. 2 years ago on Google
The experience could be done in 30 minutes as well, but in the end the wait is worth it through a beautiful flight over Holland which will test your senses. I went with my 5 your old daughter and immediately when it was finished she was ready to do the flight again!

  • 5/5 Shriharsh K. 2 years ago on Google
It walks you through history of Netherlands. Before actual flight experience there are couple of informative videos which can be a bit boring but I find them useful and funny. As such the flight experience is totally worth a wait and I would totally recommend it. If you can go for I Amsterdam card, this is included in that card.

Wonderful show, entertaining and educational in the same time, strongly recommend it if you are interested to know the history of the country. (subtitled in english)

Yes, it's quintessentially touristy, but it's also super fun, *and* pretty informative. Whether you're a (semi) local or an international visitor, I recommend this for families, teens, or adults. It's good to be playful & a little silly, while learning 😄.

  • 2/5 Stephenie A. 1 year ago on Google
Our second visit was rather disappointing compared to the first three years ago. First off, the trend to PIN only payments in tourist areas is very frustrating for non European visitors who often need to pay with cash as their cards do not always work. Strike one. While our host was enthusiastic, he did jump on me for having my phone out to turn it off, as per his instructions. Apologies for not managing Simon says quickly enough! Strike two. We were last into each room as my parents who are both 77 move very slowly. I’m grateful they are moving at all! In the second room we were therefore left standing as there were no seats left. None of the guests offered us their seats and we opted not to cause a stir and remained standing for the duration of the short film. Strike three. The film very clearly states that as guests move into the simulator they should fill in seats from the far end. The families in front of us did not follow these instructions. We were left with a fragmented group of five and a very short time to solve the problem as the voice over counted down the start time. Panic! Eventually a staff member came out to assist, forcing the families to move down, but admonishing us in the process that we couldn’t expect to sit together. I’m not sure why not, we reserved tickets in advance! There was plenty of space if people cooperate and have enough time to do as asked. Strike four. To add insult to injury the Dutch families who didn’t follow the very clear instructions (given in Dutch and English) to move down then proceeded to stereotype all Americans as rude, while they themselves were being incredibly rude and speaking about our mixed party of Americans and Dutchies in Dutch thinking we didn’t understand them. Boy were they sure surprised when we responded to their rudeness in Dutch! It’s embarrassing that they would assume they can speak so abusively with impunity. I have very seldom been so angry and ashamed of Dutch people. The staff should be more involved in making sure that instructions are followed and especially that vulnerable guests have a good experience. Luckily my parents both enjoyed themselves during the short flight, but I will recommend another activity when we next have visitors.

  • 4/5 Ivan B. 1 year ago on Google
So, We really liked the show, especially the main part. The beginning could be a bit better, knowledge testing spots could be more rewarding rather than people just giving answers while waiting for the next part; water intro movie is a liiiitle bit incoherent, but that's a personal opinion. Finally, regarding the photos; when you take people's photos at the beginning let them know what to expect in the end, a free photo, something to buy or something else. Then we got to the shop the kid working there was not the best in English and didn't actually know that we can get digital photo to download, for free. Go and check it out. You will like it.
