I recently stayed at this hotel on holiday. My friend and I booked a room that stated it had two queen beds. When we entered the room, we were confused to find one single queen sized bed (two singles pushed together). The hotel employees alleged that there was nothing they could do as they did not have any other rooms with separate beds. We were completely mislead by the staff and advertising on the website. Additionally, upon arrival I was asked for my credit card to put on file as most hotels do, and was reassured that I would not receive any unknown charges from the hotel. A few days after checkout I noticed a $40 charge to my credit card. I inquired about the charge and was told it was β€œdue to a mess left in the room.” I absolutely did not leave behind a horrid mess and instead left the garbage in a designated area in the appropriate container. No damages or excessive mess was left behind and yet I was taken advantage of by the hotel. Breakfast was expensive and not worth the price, but they got their money, and I guess that’s all that matters to them.

The location is good. Hotel facilities are good too. The staff is courteous and helpful. The standard services however are different from the one you find outside this city. For A hotel of this stature which charges you been 150€ -200€, a day, I think they should provide enough hydration option to is customers. They Just hand over 500 ml water per room, which according to me in unreasonable and unacceptable.

Had a one night stay at this hotel while conducting business in the Amsterdam Arena area. Rented a nice OV bike to get from and to this hotel. The hotel itself is nice. Nice rooms. Staff is very friendly. Didn't feel too well on the day of checkout and extending my stay wasn't a problem. They also regularly checked in on me if I was doing okay. Really special. It's easy to use public transport from nearby this hotel to get into the city. EV Chargers are available on site and next to it if you're coming by EV. Would stay again if being in the neighbourhood.

Great conference hotel. Huge breakfast buffet with the possibility of getting eggs done at the moment. Personal very nice and professional. The only detail we didn't like was that the shower was not as clean as you can expect on a 4 star hotel. For the rest very good

So, currently staying in the hotel, it's been just few hours since we have checked in and already we have to write a negative review. Service in all aspects is really bad.. 1. At the reception when we were checking in, the receptionist guy says we have booked two rooms, one is paid for and the other is not. We were surprised and told him that we booked just one room. He said, "Okay. I will cancel the other one but I am doing you a favor by doing so". What kind of service is this? You mess up and magically book two rooms for a couple and it's you who is doing a favor? We were actually expecting a "sorry for the confusion". 2. We had to wait for water for 2 hours. We visited the reception desk personally, had to call them several times. The response we get is "I will bring it. You are welcome." 3. When we went to the restaurant around dinner time, the serving people were worried about ruining their breakfast tables than thinking about customer comfort. They kept telling us to sit at the bar stools with our kid, opposed to sitting at a comfortable table n chair. At this point, we were really disappointed in opting for a 4 star hotel, which had no good service to their credit. We ordered food. He took our order then came back after sometime saying kitchen is closed. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay and never expected this from a famous 4 star hotel chain. Novotel, you just lost some future customers. Kr, Sanjivani Ingle Room number 1322

Great location and great service but a few flaws Dirty walls and floor, toilet is restricted due to the wall being on one side and sink being on other side making it a hard sit. Radiator was working but took hours to warm up the room even though it was on the highest heat, upon asking reception they said they would look at it but nobody came even when we asked again. Also no lock on the toilets.

very comfortable room - spotlessly clean. there was a comically huge TV, a nice walk-in shower with rituals toiletries, a nespresso machine, and the sofa pulled out into a bed also. the staff were also very helpful in accommodating us - an early check-in was possible at 11am (but this may not always be the case), when we requested an extra duvet it arrived in minutes. they also offer a free luggage storage option which was very helpful for when we had checked out but still had time in the city.

Good hotel. Recently renovated. Rooms are clean. Tasty breakfast. Lots of vegetarian options. Staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. There is a coffee machine in the room. The air conditioning stopped working in our room and lady at the front desk was able to find another room for us despite of lots of guests. Appreciate that. The location is good. There are good restaurants nearby. Also you can reach city center by foot in about one hour or in 30 minutes by public transport. There's a well equipped gym and sauna with unusual temperature of 55 degrees Celsius. The parking is very crowded but we were able to find free spots. You can park at half price after applying for hotel membership, ask at the reception.

During my week-long stay at this hotel while attending the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) in Amsterdam, I found it to be an excellent choice for accommodation. The staff was consistently kind, courteous, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their proficiency in English and other languages made communication seamless. The hotel staff went above and beyond by providing valuable recommendations for places to visit and dine, contributing to a more enriching experience in Amsterdam. The rooms were impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment. The hotel's amenities were diverse, including a restaurant, bar, gift shop, and a convenient small snack market. This variety added a layer of convenience to our stay, providing options for dining and shopping within the premises. One of the standout features was the hotel's strategic location, within walking distance to both the convention center and public transportation. This proved to be incredibly convenient for conference attendees and tourists alike. Additionally, the availability of cabs at all times ensured easy accessibility, regardless of the hour. Overall, my experience at this hotel was thoroughly positive, thanks to the attentive staff, clean accommodations, and strategic location. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers visiting Amsterdam for business or leisure.

This is one of the most spacious Novotel I have been at. My executive room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with a great view. The location is also practicle, it is not too far from the train and metro stations that can lead you to the city center. It is also not too far from the airport. The only downside is that the breakfast was not the best, and the service in the restaurant could be a little bit friendlier (a smile doesn't hurt). Besides that, it was a good stay.

Very nice hotel, I have stayed in executive room so can’t speak about others. For me it is major bonus on the room if windows can be opened - and in this one they can ! Breakfast is really nice with huge choice of food and drinks. Staff is very polite and friendly.

Room was OK and clean and quite. Breakfast was good. Internet connection was poor, it should be much better on a quality chain hotel like yours. In addtion in the room was only one plug to charge your devises. You should have more and one by the bed.

Amazing hotel! Clean, elegant. They offered plenty of delicious breakfast options. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Employees were amicable.

We stayed here for just one night and our experience was really good. Hotel's proximity to Amsterdam RAI station is the best part making it easily accessible. Room size was good and it was really clean. It had all basic amenities one excepts plus a coffee machine was an added advantage. Check-in & check-out was smooth though it was pretty crowded when we reached. Overall I recommend this hotel highly.

Its not near central business district, however u can catch tram few mins walking distance which runs to central. Staff were friendly, room clean. Not hard to get to and from city. I enjoyed my stay there.

Rooms are very nice and housekeeping very efficiency. Service not so good, the staff was not 100% dedicated to guest and you can find a lot of them quite grumpy and not involved with customer service. Location was fine, with a trolley near by to city central area.

Great location, great service, tidy and convenient. Even the cab driver said, "You're staying in one of the best hotels". Honestly getting to this hotel doesn't ever require you to use a cab, you can easily take a train, which will cost you less.

Room is clean and modern at first glance. Stable, easy but a bit weak wifi connection. Bed is big and comfortable. Large window allowing sunlight into the room while still equipped with thick, dark curtains to block sunlight. Amenities are well provided. Mini-refrigerator, coffee machine and water kettle are available for use. 2 small bottles were given as well. However there was very limited storage place in the bathroom. But otherwise good water flow from both tab and shower.

On arrival I was seen right away and quickly picked up the room key. The staff member was friendly and even upgraded me to an executive room. The room and view were great, with many international channels on the TV. The only issue was a little mildew/growth below the shower fittings. The fittings themselves were functional, though a little stiff. Only stayed one night and the bathroom provided some extras that I had forgotten such as a comb and a shoe polish glove.

Everything in the hotel was nice. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant and bar was great. The staff were all friendly. The hotel's location is ideal and just a few meters away from the tram and metro...very accessible and easy to join the town center.

This is a very nice hotel. Really nice. The room is spacious, clean. It’s not in the centre of Amsterdam, but 3 minutes walk from train station, tram and metro. So it’s very well situated. Great hotel, excellent breakfast and really friendly and helpful staff.

Nice hotel. Great rooms, smiling and helpful staff. Hotel is 5min walk to train station. Bar place was comfy, but serving staff was just terrible. Not the people, but the service itself. Noone at the bar knew how to make properly long island drink and nobody was serving at the table. Other than that, my experience was GOOD.

The room was good, the breakfast was awesome with something for every taste. The supper menu was very poor with little selection and did not deliver what was stated on the menu. At supper the staff was generally confused and did not seem to know their locations. When busy they did not handle well. The supper menu was poor. I ordered Slow Cooked Beef 2x (very tasty) and Mushroom Stew 1x, both said they came with seasonal vegetables. They did not, the first time I thought I was mistaken, the second time I was told it did not and the 3rd time said there was a little carrot in the potatoes and they brought some vegetables 15 minutes after I finished eating, Poor understanding of the menu and expectations of the customers. Recommend you eat supper elsewhere.

Really nice hotel. In a great location beside Amstelpark and only a couple of train stops from the airport. Tram and metro station just a five minute walk away. About 25 minutes on the tram to central Dam area. Great views over the city from the top floors. Rooms are compact, but clean. Good breakfast set up, but very busy. Staff were all pleasant and helpful and all spoke some English. We would definitely stay again.

The one thing I loved about the place is that it is soo close to the metro, tram n train station.... Just a 5 min walk and we'll connected to all places. It is completely safe, I travelled solo and felt completely safe at the hotel. Used public transport to move around from the hotel which was cost effective n great too. Beautiful area, nice to just go for a walk. And very comfortable rooms.

Stayed here twice for two weeks each time and despite the small rooms, the stay was very nice. I especially loved the location near Amstel Park and I would go jogging each morning. The staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast very well done.

Good hotel if you want to stay outside of the center of Amsterdam. Close to the metro station, very easy to get to the city center. Parking is just in front of the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is very good and diverse (the best comparing to other Novotels in the Netherlands).

Very friendly staff they were so kind and they were smiling all the time which made my mood better. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. I enjoyed staying there and I would like to visit them again. (Thank you Mariana for bringing the breakfast to our room 😊❀️)

Great hotel. Lovely rooms and amazing dinner. However one problem was one of the waiters who worked in the bar/restaurant who was Greek. Followed my girlfriend to the toilet and tried getting her number despite literally serving us at the table. Made her feel really uncomfortable and despite her refusing continued to pester her for her number. My girlfriend doesn't like making a scene so told me after we had left the restaurant. Total scumbag

I had great experience during my stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcomed us and the service was good. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and not too small. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of meat and cheese and many other stuff. The hotel had a nice ping pong table on floor number 1 which we played in and it was really fun. There is also a small stach cafe down near reception where u can order coffee, deserts and meals which is nice to have. The room had a nice view outside and the location was great since there was a park a few minutes away. To conclude it is an great hotel too stay in and I will surely come back.

Nice location, rooms and breakfast. Great for both business travelers and leisure visit to Amsterdam. Facilities includes gym, parking and equally close to Amsterdam Rai station with bus stop directly opposite too, makes it very accessible and a good base to explore

We stayed here for 3 nights for our Amsterdam pre-trip River Cruise. While not in the heart of the city, it was close enough to get in and out. The breakfast was diverse and a great addition to have. The rooms were clean and made a perfect location for us.

Great staff - friendly and very helpful. Rooms are quiet and housekeeping is great. The breakfast is fantastic. They also have bikes to rent. Very close to a metro station as well.

There were aspects of my stay here which were wonderful. I loved the professionalism of the staff. Everyone I spoke to spoke English perfectly, were polite and attentive. (This included calling reception at 10pm for a light from the TV to be covered as it was distracting.) The breakfast was delicious - I particularly was impressed by the scrambled eggs and sausages. The locality of the hotel is wonderful too - my toddler adored the park opposite and I could see the greenery from my window. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. There was a lot of dust on a lot of the surfaces, which made me wonder when was the last time the room had a deep clean. The coffee machine had also not been cleaned thoroughly recently as when I ran water through it, the water came out murky. Sadly, upon discovering the level of cleanliness, my stay was dampened somewhat, after amazing first impressions.

#LetsGuide from origin a French Hotel chain Novotel is an old player on the luxury staying in a Hotel. Even now while Dutch run a lot of hotels this Novotel still has class. A lot of very good Staff. πŸ‘ and They do not like Dutch who not wash Hands after toilet........ That is why this place is loved. You should see the breakfast πŸ˜‹ from fish .vegan . Fruits eggs far more choice then a Hilton..... and I love the Staff ❀ 😍 πŸ’– ❣ πŸ’• πŸ’˜

This hotel is suitable for business trip as it is not far away from tourist places. I found staff to be courteous and yet cheap as they would ask for upfront payment for all incidentals even though you have the card in file. Rooms are not as clean as you expect in comparison to Marriott others in same standard of pricing.

The rooms has all the amenities like proper bathroom, electric kettle and coffee maker, iron and iron board etc. Room decor is drab old and too dull. Room service is available. Busy reception stations are there. Saw waiting taxis outside as well. So far so good.

It's a great location, no doubt. Spent 4 nights here on a business trip. Regarding the room, it's sufficiently spacious but position of WC in the toilet is cramped. Not all the USB charging ports were working, housekeeping did not regularly refill the drinking water and gym/fitness centre could be a bit bigger. On one occasion found the front desk staff to be not cooperative while on the day of checkout the staff was courteous. Overall experience was good and I may return to the hotel again

I had a very good experience with two helpful staffs at the hotel front desk tonight. They were very helpful and help me to print an important document in the middle of the night. It is definitely more than 5 stars service! I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time!! ;)
